Great place! All the servers were friendly. Food and drinks were great. If you go try and get Christian as your bartender. He really knows how to make your drinks and he’s always checking up on you. One of the best/friendliest bartenders I’ve had.

Food was amazing including the ambiance however the best part of our dining experience was the amazing waiter Adam. Talk about someone that loves their jobs and is so high spirited. Not one to request waiters usually when dining but he will be requested every time. Definitely going back and crossing my fingers Adam is there.

Service is cool, it was really too packed to judge. Parking is crazy but that’s Ventura Blvd for ya. I’d come back. Truly is a Hipster haven for sure. But everyone was cool and no one was messy.

My friends and I visited this place for the first time last night and thoroughly enjoyed our experience :) We came to watch game 5 of the finals and the tvs were set up all around the bar. I loved the natural light and all the big windows around the place. Our server was amazing and so attentive! He checked on us several times and made the experience A+. I ordered the classic burger and tried the fried pickles and they were both so delicious. I also ordered the blackberry drink which was made perfectly. I will be back! Great place to hang out with friends and watch a game.

Great ambiance here! I love how they keep the large windows open, it keeps the place fresh. I came here to grab an early dinner/drinks with my mom and the whole experience was excellent! We shared the Shishito peppers and fried pickles and both of those appetizers were fantastic! They seriously went so well with a couple of beers! Highly recommend!

I am born and raised in Los Angeles and this bar was too LA for me. You walk in and are assaulted by the smell of axe body spray. When I sat down at the bar and ordered a vodka tonic it took 15 minutes to get. Mind you, it was a weekday and not crowded. The female bartender legitimately forgot to make my drink. Also, it really wasn’t good. Plus, if you don’t find street parking it’s a pay lot. It’s woodland hills… other than meters you really shouldn’t have to pay. You’re better off going to the dive across the street.

Hq gastropub great addition to the woodland hills area. went there on a Friday around 6pm. wasn’t too busy. as the night went on definitely got more crowded. TV everywhere went to go see the copa America games. had the fried pickles and beef sliders both were great to nibble on during the game especially while drinking. had three weavers IPA from inglewood ca. by far my favorite IPA of the evening. lots of fruity characteristics. definitely recommend this place for a date maybe a friend or two for larger parties call ahead to see what they can do for you both good for large events too I believe they have private rooms as well. one tip careful with the bill prices it will creep up quietly after a couple IPA and food lol. I will be back!

Great place to grab a drink with friends or catch a sporting event. Pretty much sit anywhere and you have a view to a television. The bartenders are very nice and extremely easy on the eyes. I will definitely be back.

Oh holy cheeseburger. As I sit here and think about the orgasmic burger I had while I was here, my mouth can’t help but start to water. Black & Bleu Burger!!! It took one bit before I was ready to order another one in the same sitting. The fig with the blue cheese is genius. The bun is toasted so perfectly. The meat is on point. Even the sweet potato fries were delicious. Burgers are my food of choice, and this place is worth putting in my burger rotation. Yum!

I gave this place another try since it is close to where I live. Ugh. Even worse than my previous visit. Their«craft beer» selection is weak compared to other places in the area, yet the prices are over the top. The food is disgusting. Fried pickles = greasy, bland fried batter– where’s the pickle? Buffalo chicken sliders– the chicken was almost jerky like in texture. It tasted as though the chicken was microwaved. I brought it to the bartender’s attention and she looked mortified and happily took them back. Ordered fish tacos in lieu of the returned sliders– the fried ones were greasy, bland and tasteless. The grilled ones were even worse. How do you mess up basic fish tacos?! Lastly, we ordered a burger and even that was mediocre. It was loaded with toppings that should have been a flavor explosion, yet even this was bland and over cooked. I want to like this place due to its convenient location, but this was my last attempt. Unfortunately it wasn’t the newness of this place that made it so awful. Still just as terrible.

We visited this place yesterday and I am now definitely a fan! I wasn’t really sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews, but my friends seem to love it so we gave it a shot. I immediately loved the look and feel of the place upon entrance. It’s a very chill vibe, not too busy on a Sunday, and a good place to grab a bite to eat and catch a game. Our fabulous bartender/mixologist Aida was a doll! She was SO nice! We loved her. She helped make our food & drink choices easy. We ordered: Drinks: –805 beer($ 6): refreshing, light and yummy –Mimosas($ 8): strong and very good Food: –BBQ pulled pork sliders($ 13): great taste and just the perfect size and amount for one person –Sweet Potato fries($ 4): really tasty. –Chinese Chicken Salad($ 14): My friend said it was really good. Dessert: –Signature Butterscotch Bread Pudding($ 9): this was a treat! warm bread pudding with vanilla ice cream on top… delicious! The prices are not inexpensive considering the portions are rather small, but they’re comparable to other places like this. We were told that on Wednesday nights groups of 4 or more girls get a free bottle of champagne, and Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are popping! We will definitely be back soon! =)

Jim G. and I had a great time at our first visit to HQ Gastropub last week. We had already nibbled a bit before arriving, so we only tasted the sausage sampler, which was good, but, for me, I wasn’t in love. Someone sitting next to me had the pot pie, which looked amazing! If only there weren’t so many carbs…(sigh) Mark, the owner, and Aida(one of the head bartenders) helped make our night outstanding. The music playing was great, including the 30 – 40 minute Prince tribute, as it was the day of His Purple Majesty’s passing. Aida was super friendly and hooked up a personalized cocktail for me. Nothing like a jalapeño muddled, spicy mezcal drink for this girl! Jim G. and I are going to hit them up again during happy hour to see what’s up. Here’s hoping we can find some parking, as their set up is not ideal. That being said, I’m super stoked about this place being so near us.

Tried for the second time well after they opened to see if they had changed. Nope. We walked in on a Saturday night and were seated quickly. Great. We ordered a glass of wine and a Martini. It took 15 minutes and the Chardonnay arrived. No Martini. Almost a full 10 minutes later i said — «Let’s go». A server heard me say this as I was stood up, and asked if there was a problem. I said«yes, it’s been almost 25 minutes and I haven’t got my drink.» He said that he would handle it and I sat down. 2 minutes later it arrived. The server came back to say that he had spoken to the manager and that A: The house would take $ 2 off of the drink, or B: They would upgrade the Vodka in the martini for no extra charge if I were to order it again… Lame. What? you just don’t comp a drink for someone who was walking out before he got it?! «OK» I said, whatever — Can we just have the check please? 10 minutes later I got it and when I did it said: Wine: $ 7. Vodka: $ 8. Martini $ 3(Vodka made into a Martini is an extra $ 3 — Why not just say Martini $ 11?) The total for the bill was $ 17 and change. So what exactly were you ‘compensating’ me… The TAX?!? This place sucks. Period.

Awesome beer selection. Super rock vibe. Sweet décor and 2 separate bars, the main square bar and the long oval one. Patio dining or indoor tables. Cool bartenders and good TVs for watching sports. Small private rooms is available for groups /VIPs. Would definitely go back again when I have more time to chill and drink. All of the menus are covered with actual album covers all along the wall when you walk in which makes for a really cool backdrop. And the wall facing the blvd. with the main bar opens up like 2 garage doors, giving it a very airy open feel. Nice on warm nights. Validated parking in back or you can take your chances with meters. I didn’t really get to try the food because I was in such a hurry to just try a brew and catch the end of the game but I definitely will next time and update my review! Rock on!

The look of this place is so cool! Guitars on display, killer wine rack and liquor galore. Old record album covers are utilized as menus! I wish I would have took a pic of the four covers we received. One of which was the classic Nirvana cover. Service was a bit slow but we appreciated that the waitress admitted that they were short-staffed today. We made it just in time for Happy Hour(4 – 6). I ordered a classic burger medium and it was off the hook! Haven’t had a tasty burger like that in a while. My cocktail was a little different but refreshing, it was a blend of a whiskey sour and mint julep. Don’t know if I will ever come here again since our business is complete in Woodland Hills, but if I’m ever in the area I will visit HQ. Try to make happy hour because it does look like it could get pricey.

Great place to go! The atmosphere is super cool, and the food is delicious! Their menu, décor and ambiance surrounds a rock-n-roll theme. The are located on a corner, and it was nice because they had large windows that were open to the outside fresh air. The seating was limited, but we were able to sit at one of two bars(one beer bar and one cocktail bar is what they have). Sitting at the beer bar, our server Amy was awesome, super nice, helpful and on point. I was excited to choose from a good selection of beer, but Allagash Cruexious is my poison and it was so yummy! For food, I ordered the«Black and Bleu burger» and it was sooooooo yummy! They serve it with skinny fries, and definitely get a side of the jalapeño ranch for some spicy fry dip! The jalapeño ranch tastes like the jalapeño cheddar hot Cheetos to give you a gist of what it tastes like. I will def be coming back to this cool little gem.

Really great bar in Woodland Hills. Overall experience was very positive. What I really enjoyed: — Layout was modern — They have two separate bars — Tables if you don’t want to sit at a bar — Lots of TVs — Play music and show music videos on some of the TVs — Saturday night crowd was more or less upscale. Didn’t see too many thug types. — Specialty drinks are delicious. They use some exotic combination of alcoholic beverages and other ingredients to stand out — They use unique cups/glasses for some of their drinks What I thought could use some work: — Prices. $ 14 for a small specialty drink is just too much. $ 8 up to $ 10 makes sense. Even the drink sizes are small. — Mixed drink alcohol content seemed a little low. I ordered two drinks 1) Something about back in the USSR and 2) a Coconut drink which I forgot the name. I could taste the ginger in the first and coconut in the second, but couldn’t taste any alcohol. — Parking… eh.

Cool ambiance. There’s music-influenced decorations around the restaurant and even the menus are old record covers. They have huge open windows looking out on the street, so it makes the restaurant feel even larger. I felt like I was at one of the hotel bars in Vegas, which is oddly nostalgic since there aren’t many bars in LA that give off that same feeling. There are two HUGE center bars with seating all around that take up most of the space in the restaurant. I’d say there might have been even more seats at these bars than tables in the restaurant — not sure if that’s a good or bad thing, I guess it just depends what your intention is for going there. They also have a nice private room you can reserve for parties with a lofty $ 700 minimum on food/beverage. The service was terrible. When we walked in, no one was there to take us to a table. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to just sit down or wait for a host. Finally, a waiter led us to a table. Our waiter was very weird and did not attempt to engage with us any more than he had to. He asked several times what kinds of drinks we wanted almost being pushy, and when we finally decided to just stick with water, he rarely came back to our table. We even had to ask for more water. While they do have a huge drink selection available, neither of us were in the mood for alcoholic beverages and I was quite disappointed with their non-alcoholic options. They had unique bottled drinks and cream sodas, but they didn’t just have tap soda or iced tea. You had to spend $ 5 on a fancy bottled iced tea or $ 2 on a canned soda. That’s just ridiculous. I ordered the purple cauliflower steak with pesto risotto and carrots. It should have been called pesto risotto with cauliflower and carrots. There was a big scoop of risotto and 5 small pieces of cauliflower and a few carrots on the side. The cauliflower was delicious and cooked well, but I definitely expected to get more of it for $ 15. The risotto was very flavorful but was not cooked long enough to be creamy like a risotto is supposed to be served. My friend ordered the chicken club, which our waiter recommended between her two options(of course the pricier one of the two). It was a pretty pathetic excuse for a sandwich. It sounds delicious on the menu«Chicken Breast served with Smokehouse Bacon, Sliced Avocado, Arugula, Fresh Basil, Tomato, Cheddar Cheese and Spicy Aioli on Toasted Brioche» but did not live up to the description. There were two tiny chip-sized pieces of bacon, and the piece of chicken didn’t fill the two burger buns. The skinny fries were tasty at least.

My experience here was awesome! They really recreate a concert/musical scene in he entire restaurant, and both the bars make the ambience incredible. Our server was exceptionally friendly and informative; and the food came of just the way we ordered. The TVs around the restaurant have Twitter feeds and encourage the patrons to interact with each other(and promote the restaurant!). I am definitely planning on trying more of the food to complete my overall review, but the ahi tuna chips were refreshingly delicious. I’ll be back!

I’m giving HQ a 3 stars for now and«maybe» move it to 5 next time. It was my first time dining at HQ tonight and I gotta say, I like what they have done with this space. I love the interior and the vibe. It kinda reminds me of how it would look like if Yard House and Planet Hollywood had a baby. Lol. I’ve seen this venue be 2 other types of restaurants before but I hope HQ stays around for a while. I do however feel there is room for improvement . I didn’t have any drinks tonight although the drink list with descriptions looked delicious. My bf and I ordered an appetizer of Oaxuxcanian tacos and 2 burgers, the Cattleman($ 14) and Bad Life Decision($ 15). The tacos were delicious with the side of sriracha. The reason why I am giving a 3 stars for«OK» is because we felt the burgers were decent, but things were lacking. The Cattleman was missing several ingredients such as the onions and jalapeños which was listed in the item description. We mentioned our concern with our server who went to the kitchen to check with the cook and our waiter came back saying he didn’t add the onions, but went ahead to make us some. I also didn’t see any jalapeños in the burger patty either although we were told it’s chopped up in there. We basically tore the patty apart looking. Anyway, after the missing ingredients were brought to us, the burger finally tasted better. I can’t believe the cook was trying to short us on a $ 14 burger. The manager should check on that. My BDL burger was pretty good. I had asked for a medium rare and it came out a little more cooked than I’d prefer. I specifically asked for it pink in the middle too. I believe all the ingredients were there but the flavor was lacking. On the menu description it lists several sauces, but I was only able to taste one. I don’t know if the cook was just playing it safe with the flavor to not overdose it, but I guess next time I will request for extra. I couldn’t taste the truffle in the truffle cheese either. I guess I was comparing it to the truffle cheese at Umami Burger where the flavor is very obvious. My burger at HQ wasn’t bland, but it didn’t meet my expectations. When the description has 8 ingredients you expect it to have burst of flavor. My bf and I plan to come back again and try other things on the menu and their drinks. I might give the BLD another shot and tell them to not be shy on the flavor. Our server this time was very nice but I hope they make improvements on what I had mentioned above and especially not slack on jipping the customers on ingredients, which really pissed me off this time.

Wow! Just walked in and was greeted by the really sweet doorman. He welcomed my friends and I and told us to seat ourselves where we would like. Well today March 24th, I came in and had an awesome experience. I met the owner Mark and he was wonderful. He was very professional and welcoming. The owner takes pride in his business and put all the touches into this gem. You can tell just from sitting at the bar that he is involved and hands-on in every single aspect. I ordered the buffalo lollipops and they were amazing! The margarita was great and I also had a glass of that good ol’ Bloody Mary. If you are into spicy stuff, order the Bloody Mary! Everyone is very welcoming and this place welcomes all. Youngsters, hipsters, rock and rollers, hippies and GRANDMAS(watch the video) get down here. Come and meet us here! You won’t regret it!
