I’ve been here two times before and have been met with the same lackluster results. I’ve always been helped promptly by one of the numerous workers, but in both cases, I haven’t been able to get what I wanted. Both times, I went there to renew my contract and get a new phone. My dad’s name is listed on my phone plan since I use his company discount, but I am the primary account holder. First time, the worker said, «We need your dad to authorize your transaction, because his name’s on the account too.» Apparently, it didn’t matter that I had control of the account since there was another name on it too. Instead, I drove to the Taylor Verizon Wireless, and I walked out with a brand new phone in 10 minutes. The lady who helped me there said, «Nope, we don’t need your dad’s information at all.» It’s all Verizon, so I guess it doesn’t matter where you go to get what you need. But, the Taylor store is larger, better stocked, and operated by salespeople who seem more capable of helping you in any situation. Second time(two years later), I met the same scenario. I only went back to Woodhaven since I lived down the street. The guy logged into my account on the computer and verified I was eligible for an upgrade. However, he said he needed my dad’s log-in credentials to complete the process, which made no sense since I was the account holder. I guess my log-in wasn’t good enough since he needed the information for both of us. I couldn’t get a hold of my dad, and the guy said there was nothing he could do. I left. I went online this time and got a new phone in a few minutes… with my own information. So, I don’t understand what process this individual store uses if you want to get a phone, but it doesn’t work for me. I’ve been a Verizon customer for 11 years, and I’ve only had this issue at this store.
