These are the worse lot of softball/baseball fields I have ever played on. So, I’ll get the good points out of the way. You can pretty much drop in whenever you want to play/practice if there’s an open field. There are four fields. If you’re on a league, they don’t enforce the«no alcohol» rule at all, and coolers are quite abundant. The lines are always well painted, and the bases are usually left out in place. I won’t discuss the league though, just the grounds. The lights(only used for games) are efficient enough to see at night. Imagine falling on what feels like nails and broken glass. No, those aren’t part of the fields, but the granite they consist of is torturous. You will definitely think twice about(or severely regret later) sliding, diving, or even leaving your feet at any time in the infield. The outfield is just as bad. On all fields, the drainage is horrid, and the slightest rain will cause a quagmire in the deepest parts of the outfield. My teammate nearly disappeared into the swamp while trying to catch a fly ball.(Facebook updates say the drainage is being worked on.) The terrain is uneven, and the grass is not cut regularly. When it is cut, clumps of grass are left everywhere. The bench area and bleacher seating isn’t big enough to support a team or any decent number of people in attendance. I’ve played in a number of other cities, and this complex continued to rank as the worst fields I have ever scarred myself on.
