Waxing the City

I was in and out in 20 minutes with a dynamite brow-​shaping. April did a great job and was she made the appointment very relaxing and enjoyable. Will definitely be back, and will be trying other services!

I went here in hope to find someone who is skilled at eye brow waxing and shaping them how I like. That being said I grew them out so they were thick and I wanted them to have an arch as always but when I told the girl (forgot her name) I wanted them this way she said ok and the out come was definitely not what I was expecting and I asked for them to be thinner and she said I think it looks good. *i didn’t care about what she thought, it’s my brows and she didn’t listen, and big no no if your trying to run a SUCCESSFUL business. So I’m never going back! Also a side note** I drove here and there was horrible traffic so I was 10 mn late and the lady at the desk (blonde, older, kind of rude) was not going to let me into my appt after driving 20 mn and being stuck in traffic! If you want professional and well trained waxers I wouldn’t recommend going here! Hope this helped :)

Ann is the best! She is kind, sweet, an incredibly listener, funny, and, most importantly, the most gentle waxer I’ve ever had wax my legs. I would recommend her to anyone. ;)

As my first experience with a Brazilian wax, I had the wax specialist Kelsie. She made it very comfortable and relaxing. I plan on keeping it up forever and seeing her every time. She is fantastic and I recommend her services whenever possible. Truly 5 stars!

For over a decade I’ve been body waxing in addition to the last two years doing a full brazilian service. When it came to the full brazilian service I’ve only seen one waxing professional that has always done a fantastic job and I really never thought I would consider another. Let’s be perfectly honest that a full brazilian is quite the sensitive and ultimately the most challenging area for sure for any waxing specialist. That all being said I recently had the opportunity to have this specific service conducted by April Kirchner which I must say I was thoroughly impressed. In fact I was so impressed it was almost as if I never had made a change in a waxing professional. I must admit; it was actually better! The attention to care, detail, and final results gets a two thumbs way up! April is an experienced, confident, and true professional that has definitely made my top recommendation list which is a tough one to be on. Thank you WTC and more importantly thank you April!

Loved it! Lisa was great, made me feel comfortable, but also moved quickly through the procedure (my first Brazilian!). It hurt like hell, but I suppose that’s to be expected :) Go, you won’t regret it. The atmosphere is clean and professional and the staff is very sweet.

I’ve had 2 appointments at Waxing the City in Woodbury with Michele. She is awesome! Very friendly and professional. She does her job very well. I had no complaints at all about the service I got from her, nor has my wife. If you’re looking for someone to do a great job with a full waxing, she is definitely the person to see at Waxing the City Woodbury!

I had a Men’s Brazilian there several months ago and added a chest waxing as well. This is not the first time I had a Brazilian and definitely won’t be my last. The rooms are very well list and comfortable. The cerologist was very professional and we talked the entire time. The most painful part was waxing at my sternum. She said that is why they always do that for radio stunts since it will cause the loudest yell from the DJ. She did a good job and suggested a numbing cream prior to my next appt. No tipping and the highest priced first service was ½ price. They are really good about answering questions and it is a very nice place to go. Their prices are a little higher than I paid before but not unreasonable.

So I went to Waxing in the City earlier today as a first time customer looking for a Brazilian wax; I have had many before, in various locations ranging from absolutely grotesque to very nice and quaint; but what I found was a a waxing heaven fit for a queen! Seriously this was the absolute BEST waxing experience of my LIFE! Crystal took care of me today, and did a beyond amazing job! First of all she fit me in last minute, and was still able to finish quickly and give me a flawless wax with no leftover hairs, AND still make her next appointment on time. Secondly the process was virtually painless, and saying that in reference to something as torturous as a Brazilian wax is REALLY saying something! I barely felt it the majority of the time! They use a different kind of wax called hard wax, they say it hurts less, and they say this because its 100% true! Third of all, she was super incredibly friendly. I felt like I was having a conversation with an old friend rather than laying half naked while a stranger ripped hair off of sensitive areas. She kept me lying in a flat position the whole time, and didnt make me twist and contort into crazy positions, yet was still able to get every last hair front and back. And last of all Crystal was incredibly knowledgable! She gave me tips on preventing ingrown hairs, suggested a special rub that helps with that as well, and taught me the ins and outs of waxing. She’s been doing this for over 10 years and you can definitely tell she’s an expert! Overall the establishment is in a great location for us suburban girls, it’s renovated, and most importantly SUPER clean. The receptionist was really friendly as well and got me an appointment with Crystal literally 10 minutes after I called! I adore this place and these people, and I highly recommend them to everyone. Especially if this is your first time getting a wax of any kind, don’t waste your time going anywhere else, this is the place for you; plus they offer 50% off to first time guests, so I only paid $ 25! And the crazy thing about this place though, is they won’t accept tips! They take so much pride in what they do, our faithful patronage and spreading the word is additional payment enough, now THAT’S service! So PLEASE check this place out, you won’t regret it!
