Celebrated our wedding anniversary at Volpe. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The service was top notch and when the waiter heard it was our anniversary we received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. We chose from their Early Evening Menu and it was outstanding. Our seafood salad was full of calamari, shrimp etc. A very generous portion too! Shell Steak and Salmon were our entrees and they were cooked to perfection and so delicious. When we received the check, they gave us in a little box a complimentary piece of cake (it was three tiers) Very special evening with many special touches by them!

We had a fairly large group and the whole dining room was pretty empty on a weekend evening.
The piano player was so loud that we needed to yell over his playing to an empty room.
The salads were insipid.
The pasta was overlooked and chewy.
The eggplant dish made two people ill all night.
The reason ever to go here unless you were stranded is beyond me.
I don’t know how they stay afloat.
Terrible experience.

In seeing a lot of mixed reviews I was worried about what type of dining experience I would have, however, in the end I could not have been more pleased. I had a wonderful experience here. The food was delicious the service was attentive and the atmosphere was elegant but relaxed.
Food is always the most important so lets talk about that first. We had a big group so we were able to try a lot of the appetizers and entrees, Everything was great– the calamari was perfectly crisp, the fresh mozzarella was warm and flavorful, baked clams were a little too small but the flavor was good.
