I’ve been going to this deli for over ten years, and I have probably had at least 1000 sandwiches from here. The hoagies are unmatched by anything else in the area. Which is lovely. The best part is, they sell hot sandwiches on certain days. Wednesday is meatball day and I am completely hooked. I get a meatball with longhot pepper every week. Try it. I don’t know what the hell she does, but the meatballs are ridiculously good.

Best place for sandwiches hands down. I’ve grown up in the area but didn’t ever try Sicilian Deli until like 2010 and I’ve literally been coming ever since. Sometimes they run out of bread and close which is DEVASTATING when you’re craving it and looking forward to it. And I wish they stayed open just a little later since I’m usually not home from work until 5:45. But needless to say. food is ALWAYS good and they use fresh ingredients. I’ve never been disappointed. You have to try it!

The sandwiches are great, but they sure love to try to upsell you. It’s like going to GameStop where they try to get you to preorder 50 games when you just went in to buy a memory card. No, I just want a hoagie. I don’t want a combo, I don’t want peanut butter pie, I don’t want a free sample… The two women who work there are very nice and friendly, but the upselling gets quickly tiring.

I have had hoagies from this deli twice. Once back during a tailgate for a Phillies games and again for a working lunch today. This is hands down this best place to get a hoagie from in the Woodbury area. They put a ton of meat on every hoagie and you can taste the quality of the ingredients they use on the hoagie. they are definitely going for repeat business with the treatment they give. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for my review

Great deli, clean and service was very good. More than ample portions. Smoked turkey sandwich was awesome. Load up at the pickle bar!

Got an Italian from here a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome. I let it sit out for a bit to let the flavors merry before chowing down… mmmmm.

What a disappointment. Was looking forward to trying a hoagie here for so long based on other reviews, but it was such a let down. First of all, my order was messed up when I clearly stated what I wanted on my sandwich several times. After taking off the components that I didn’t want on my sandwich, I proceeded to eat my meal. All I could taste on my hoagie was the lettuce. I couldn’t taste the other components, such as the meat, cheese, onions, oil or vinegar. Everything tasted very mellow, especially the«sharp» provolone. The only redeeming factor of this sandwich was the bread, which was soft and tasty. Needless to say, I won’t be returning.

Okay so the place changed owners! But don’t panic! The sandwiches are just as good as they’ve always been. I always like the mixed cheese and Italian with sharp provolone, but that’s just me. Yum.

My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and we received a coupon for this deli and decided to try it. We were unaware that they closed at 6pm on Fridays and called to place an order around 5:50 one night. The woman who answered the phone was super friendly and didn’t mind that we were late. It seemed like they were quite busy anyways. When he came back with the sandwiches, he said that she had given the«vegetarian» being me, free samples of their recipes for new veggie sandwiches. I ordered the only one they currently have on the menu and it was amazing. The roll was delicious and the vegetables had a great flavor. My boyfriend had«The Peppy» sandwich and raved about it for days. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be ordering frequently. Their portions are HUGE. I wanted their mini option, but since we ordered so late, they were all out of that size roll. I went with the regular size which was enough for more than one sitting which sort of made me happy because I got to enjoy for days. Friendly, quality shop.

Best hoagies around, Italian hoagies’ are banging. Get there early, when the bread is out, your out of luck. Skip Wawa, and Pal Joey’s. As a foodie, its the best in the area. Trust me…

Passed this place for many years before we stopped in and I csn honestly say I made mistake not stopping in sooner. The sandwiches are great, fresh cut cold cuts, a hard roll(the only way a should be) and nice people. They also have a nice selection of Italian cold cuts that you can’t find anywhere else around here.

What can i say that other Unilocalers haven’t said already? Yes, their sandwiches are THAT good. It’s partly the rolls. Awesome seeded real deal Italian rolls, South Philly style. Quality meats & combinations. Thanks Nando for the Roast Pork tip! We got some the other day & it was awesome. The only thing missing was sauteed broc rabe, but coming from a deli this Roast Pork sammy was impressive indeed. All told we like the Sicilian Deli chez nous. The sides aren’t as great as the sandwiches, but the Tiramisu rocks. A bit pricey, but you get the quality you are paying for here.

I have been here before, but first time Unilocaling about it so with that, i say this: I have found it. I have found it. as i do the bull dance. I almost forgot about this spot, thanks to the wifey for asking me to run some errands that day, i needed to refuel the machine. So with that said this is the best sandwich spot hands down in the Southern Jersey area. I am a recent transplant from Pa(Delaware County) area and I have been spoiled by the great locations i had at my disposal. Do you know how hard it was for me to find that perfect sandwich location… This treasure know as «The Sicilian Deli» has ended my search. No more going over the bridge for a hot roast pork sandwich, or any Italian specialty sandwich. What do i recommend if you want a little hoagie… go to Wawa, if you want something that is going to make you unbuckle your belt and unbutton your pants. this is where you go. All of their specialty and regular hoagies come with oil and a balsamic vinegar. The freshest bread and when they run out of bread they close it up for the day. Kinda like a location i know in PA. The specialty sandwiches(not in this is the hot roast pork) i have had and i know you will enjoy are ***note 1 these are packed and heavy with meats and cheeses. You will not be eating for the rest of the day after wards*** 1) Anthony’s Italian– Its tops in my book for a specialty. They add roasted peppers, with imported prosciutto, imported capacola, hot sopressata, genoa salami. sharp provo… 2)Sicilian– Second, but very close to being number 1 in my book. Sharp provo, your choice of hot or sweet capacola(hot i say) sweet sopressata, prosciutto, and what makes it an outstanding hoagie is the Sicilian olives they add to it. GOODLORD! ***note 2 there is a tie for 3rd*** 3a)-Vecchio, the mozzarella they put on there is damn good with the capacola and prosciutto. 3b)-Moglie Treno again a tie its a turkey sandwich, but its a very good turkey with roasted peppers and the sharp provo they put on. I tried it with the mozzarella too. i like it with the mozzarella Now lets get to the hot roast pork… only on Thursdays do they make something that is out of this world… On the Jersey side this is Johns, DiNics, and Nicks combined into one. That’s how good they are. The seasonings they use i don’t know, they will take it to their grave type of ingredients. the pork is so tender, so juicy, the roll is drenched in that sweet goodness, with the cheese melted. It is not a bad sign when your are licking your fingers after you have one of these. I will be bringing my cousin for the first time to enjoy this monster on Thursday. The price is up there, but its only the best quality meats and cheeses. They also have great sides they make(nothing from a can, or packaged) everything is homemade. For what you are experiencing or about to, you can see why. The service is friendly, the staff will help you with any questions. Ask for a little taste ! This is why this place is the best. I mean the BEST in Southern Jersey and can hold its own against any spot in S.Philly. I know its a strong statement, but prove me wrong. go there and see for yourself. Except for Sunday and Mondays. they are closed.(Except when Football season returns they are open on Sundays) ***note 3 If it is extreamly hot/humid outside, they will not make/have hot roast pork/beef for that day. If you call for the order the night before, they will make it for you the next day.

Love it here! Whenever I am staying in Jersey, I can count on a great hoagie from this deli. They are overstuffed and gigantic! The staff are so friendly in perfect Jersey style! This is truly a great place. The hoagies are expensive but a big BANG for your buck!

Tough to give this 5 stars since I’ve only been there once… good first impression though. I got the Anthony Italian and the Moglie Treno… good bread and fresh meat and produce… very friendly and helpful and was definitely a good preshow meal before the Roger Waters show… I will have to go back again soon to try more items… I do wish they were open Sundays… reasonably priced for good quality

The best hoagies in the South Jersey/Philly area! Great variety of hoagies in 3 different sizes, all fresh cut meats and cheeses, pasta sides, and awesome roast pork. I strongly suggest you phone your order in advance because when they run out of bread they are done for the day. The hoagies are great year round but especially in the summer so you don’t have to cook. It’s a family business and I always enjoy pleasant conversation when picking up my order. I have also used the hoagie trays for parties and they are always a hit!!!

This place is great. I am a Philly girl born and raised and I know what a good hoagie is supposed to taste like, and this is it. People in the suburbs of Philly usually rely on places like Primos for their hoagie cravings. Primos is ok, don’t get me wrong, but they’re starting to get sloppy. They don’t do things the way they used to. They’re beginning to act like they have something so special that you can’t find it anywhere but there. Which gives them some kind of permission to let customer service go in the toilet. They’re sandwiches are suffering for it also. Thankfully, they’re wrong, you CAN get a great sandwich somewhere else. And little hidden gems like Sicilian are proof positive. Sicilian is old school. They cut your meat nice and fresh right then when you place the order. The use Delicious rolls that are Hoagie worthy(crisp on the outside and soft on the inside) and use a spice mixture that’s very tasty and compliments the sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and quick to get you in and out without making you feel rushed. I go there every time I have a hankering for a good sandwich(which is about one a week). Good stuff.

Looking for a real good Italian hoagie in South Jersey? Sicilian Deli is the place. Used to order from here all the time when I worked in West Deptford. The Moglie Treno(Homestyle Turkey, Sharp Provolone and Roasted Peppers) and the Marito Treno(Pepper Turkey and Sharp Provolone) are just 2 of my favorites. The GOOD: Fresh rolls, fresh lunch meat and cheeses. Real home made salads. The BAD: They are closed on monday. They are closed on sunday unless it is football season. They are only open till 6 pm and they close early when they run out of bread. Sandwich prices are decent. Their hoagie tray prices are higher than everywhere else around but they are so good it’s worth it. We ordered a hoagie tray for a big party and they made the entire process as easy as could be. Super nice people.
