Noodles & Company

I really used to like Noodles & Company. I used to frequent the Maplewood location until about 5 years back when they started getting cheap with their dishes. It started when they changed from using basil leaves to using spinach leaves (so anything that now has spinach has significantly less flavor). Then they got cheap with the sauce to the point where I’d have to order extra sauce just so the food wasn’t dry.
Fast forward a few months past that and I began to go to the Woodbury location, which a few years ago was still at least giving the customer a decent amount of sauce. About 6 months ago that too changed. I’ve started to have to order extra sauce again, just to get enough to cover the noodles. Why should I have to do that? That’s like a burger joint only allowing you to have enough ketchup for half your fries.
Tonight was the last straw. I ordered the Alfredo Mont Amore (did not ask for extra sauce), and literally half of my noodles had no sauce on them… That is just unacceptable. I guess it’s not unexpected though. It’s a corporate restaurant, and eventually all so-​called ‘fast casual’ corporate restaurants make the slow decline into being fast food restaurants. Sad, but true.

Took me a minute to find the place but it’s the cleanest Noodles & Co I’ve been too! Great atmosphere & my Japanese Pan Noodles were the bomb as usual!

A good stop for a quick meal. This new location is trendy, clean and service is good. With the new Buff Bowls it gives you the satisfaction of having Chinese food but gets you off the guilt of eating carbs! A win win concept which makes Noodles & Company more likeable !

I previously wasn’t a huge fan of Noodles & Company. Now that they’ve added Buff Bowls, replacing noodles with spinach, I have a new found appreciation for them. The Buff Bowls are under 400 calories, have tons of protein, and taste really good.
Now I actually don’t mind that they are the only restaurant my 3.5 year old ever wants to go to.

Food was delicious. Would recommend the Tuscan Fresca if you are an onion fan! The gal in front was very friendly and quick but took her time to make recommendations to a newer patron. The dining area was clean and inviting right after a busy lunch hour. I would definitely recommend this location!

I will admit that I came to this noodles because I had a coupon and it was on my way back home from visiting my mom. And I don’t expect a lot from noodles they are a fast food noodle place with many options that now include soup, salads and sandwiches. I do my ratings based on type of establishment. A fast food place can get a 5 just as easily as a spendy full scale place Exceptional for the upscale does not mean the lower scale can’t be. First a five for environment, it was very clean. It had a very upscale look, retro
Stools and aluminum chairs around tables of varying sizes so u can sit by yourself or with a group and be equally comfortable. Some may find it too bright but keep in mind we are talking noodles they close at ten. Not a restaurant that has Ambiance lighting after 8 pm. They do have wine and beer and have them nicely displayed. Then u have the staff. The young lady who took my order was friendly and told told me she really liked working there. Then even though I had a coupon she went the extra mile and actually wrapped up one of my meals separately in plastic because it was a super-​based meal and she didn’t want to spill on the other items in my bag. 5 star. Finally The food itself I had your basic mac & cheese it was adequately done had extra cheese melted over the top I don’t expect a lot of met out of mac & cheese because you make the kind you like and only you make it that way. But it was good my other choice was the Thai hot pot that was the special of the day and I must admit I eat a lot of Thai food so I was curious to see how well they could do with this. it was excellent sweet curry with some heat I myself eat things hotter but I wouldn’t expect someplace that’s trying to cater to everyone to make it really hot the vegetables are really good the chicken was great and I would certainly recommend it even if you’re a Thai connoisseur. So fives all around. And I would return without a coupon.
