Walked out. Don’t waste your time. Worst service. Who knows how the food is because after waiting 45 minutes, it never showed up and it was not busy. We watched food sitting in the window while servers continued to walk by it for 15 minutes before we left. The servers are clueless and for such a new business, there should have been more supervision and support for the staff.

We were excited to try this restaurant with friends last night as we had heard good things. Unfortunately most of us were disappointed with the service we received. 1) I’ll start out by saying the food was pretty good! The flavor was decent and our meals came out warm. 2) service was… so bad. We should have known when we were seated and the people next to us walked out because they had been waiting for over an hour for their food. We waited about 20 minutes for any waitstaff to come over and had to wait an hour to get some waters. Food took over an hour to come out(for just a burrito) and the bill took another half hour to get to us after that. I understand that they were busy(2 waiters for 28 tables) but everyone in the restaurant had the same annoyed expressions and experience. There were at least 10 people working in the kitchen so you would think they could have sent some out to help with tables. I saw food being sent back to the kitchen and wrong orders being brought to tables multiple times. The new couple that sat next to us never got their drinks and requested those be taken off the tab as they just wanted to go home. The waiter told them the kitchen was still working on margaritas for them(1.5 hours after they ordered!). I’ve never been to a restaurant where the servers didn’t offer any sort of voucher or apology for the poor service/long waits. Sadly I think the service will make us never return to this restaurant. I’m hoping for the sake of their business that this was just an off night. The food was pretty good so it’s a shame the service didn’t match!

So disappointed! Food was good but the service was horrible. People were getting up and leaving left and right. Waited for our food for almost an hour and when it came it was wrong and cold. We had to ask the hostess for our drinks and the margarita tasted musty, old. We had to ask the hostess again for our check and waited, and waited. We were so excited to have an authentic Mexican restaurant in the area but due to the poor service we will not be returning.

Classic example of «great food, terrible service.» We waited 20 minutes to be seated on a Saturday night. Extremely reasonable. But then once we were sat we waited 15 min for a greet, 25 min for drinks and then another 25 – 30 for food. I’m not so mad at the servers as I am at management for only staffing 2 servers for a 25+ table Saturday night dinner rush. The only saving grace was that once we got the food, it was delicious(but they forgot the queso, dang it). Good call if you want good food, bad call if you want quick, friendly service.

Terrible. 1) Service was horrible. They know this, so they walk around with coupons for free tacos, as if that makes up for it. We didn’t get our drinks until our son got his food, and we never got refills. 2) The food was not good. Chips and salsa were excellent, but the burritos were basically all black beans inside. Very little cheese, lettuce, tomatoes or cilantro. 3) The margaritas were not good. Yes, they are cheap house margaritas, but we would definitely have paid $ 4 more for a good drink. Very understaffed(one waitress for around 10 tables) and everyone in the place looked annoyed. Even though we left with free coupons, we won’t be returning. Not worth a date night/babysitter/etc.

Terrible service. We waited 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken. Waited another 30 for food and an additional 15 just to pay!!! Ridiculous… Los margaritas is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Woodbury.

Decent authentic — taste good … The only down fall is It’s not worth it for the portion and price– you can get a lot more for the same price at Los Ocampos(also with yummy salsa)

Tough to review as I ordered take-out, so didn’t get the restaurant experience. Ordered steak fajitas, which were ok but nothing spectacular. Also tacos, short rib, carne asada, chorizo. Chorizo was tasty but I felt tacos were dry overall. Never gave us the chips and salsa I requested on the phone. Overall food was good but we aren’t in any hurry to return.

Walking into This place you would think it’s been in business for years with all the movement going on. It’s a busy place and with good reason. Clean, nicely decorated, welcoming open floor plan with a good view into the action going on in the kitchen where the plates are being served and decorated by Zury. She makes sure the plates are prepared and served accordingly. The food is great, and the drinks are strong. Take head to the margarita named«Muy Caliente«(being their strongest .) The Cien and House margarita are their most popular and the potency in these are not to far off from the Muy Caliente margarita. So be careful in choosing your poison of choice. If you want a real treat, ask their manager Emanuel for his special«Coronarita«One of, if not the best I have ever had. It’s really good. I hope you enjoy this place as much as I did and thanks for reading my review. Happy Eats!

This is a tough place to review. Most of the tables are not very private. They are pretty busy, so it takes awhile to order and get your food. We liked the chips, but the green salsa was so so. I had chorizo enchiladas with red sauce. The chorizo was very tasty. Not overly spicy, but flavorful. The enchiladas were very small and we’re just brushed with a red sauce. I found that odd, kinda dry. They were pretty good though. The rice and beans were delicious, but very small portion also. My girlfriend got 3 tacos. The barbacoa and chicken were tasty, but also very small, and come in a double tortilla, which was also odd to us. All in all, the food is pretty good. Definitely not Americanized Mexican food.

Tried to eat here. Waited over 15 minutes and nobody came over so we left. I’ll never know if the food is awesome because the service wasn’t.

Last night I tried Cien Tacos. I was waiting to experience authentic mexican dishes and more from a new Mexican restaurant in my area. It was disappointed. SERVICE: Poor and lacking of training. I did not feel welcome. I stand in the host stand until host show up while four serves past by and did not even say hello. No greeting just said 2. It look like she did not wanted to be there at 8pm on a satuday night, she gave me a table that was not set up and ready, only three tables in the whole restaurant. My menu was dirty with crusted food on it. Server was nice but she did not give me a name or sugestions for a first timer. FOOD: Ordered steak fajita, and 3 tacos(tinga, carnitas, cecina). Meat was tough, very oily tortillas, portions very small, my rice was the bottom of pan crusty, cold food, salsa habanero no flavor or heat, Even my water tasted bad. I had to change to ice tea. RESTAURANT: This place look nice inside but no ambiance, open kitchen, no one siting at the bar. No background music. Look clean because everyone was trying to get there closing duties done. MANAGEMENT: Not visible at all during my dinner. I was going to mention my experience to the manager but did not touch my table or other tables. He seem busy figuring out closing the restaurant. All I can say is small details are very important from a guest view. The positive is I will continue my search for a good Mexican restaurant.

I can only offer a limited review because we stopped along the interstate on the way home. But it was just what we were hoping for: quick, authentic and different. My wife ordered the huarche, which is a little like a gordita, with thick bread. Not my favorite type of thing, especially on a low carb diet but fun to try. I have had better carne asada, but I used to live in Tucson and my wife grew up in a town that was about half Mexican, so that’s not really fair. I loved my al pastor, especially when I spiced it up with their awesome habanero salsa. The medium was very good, too, which is great because usually medium salsas end up being bland. The décor was nice and comfortable whether you’re looking for sports bar or diner atmosphere, and they have 11 different kinds of Mexican beer and what appeared to be an all Latino staff, which is always a good sign. It’s a new place in a new shopping center — the website still said«coming soon» — but it looks like a keeper.

A brand new addition to the Mexican restaurant scene in Woodbury and already serving up some great tasting food. When I arrived and placed my order, I was asked, «would you like your tacos Mexican version?» I asked if that was a serious question and, «yes, always yes! That shouldn’t even be an option!» If you want crappy Americanized tacos, I can send you to some really bad places. If you want authentic tasting food, you’ll find it Cien Tacos. Awesome tacos, salsa, chips and I’m excited to try everything else on the menu!

Woodbury gets another Mexican restaurant. This may be the best one, yet. Cien(‘100’) Tacos must named for the number of possible combinations of their make-your-own tacos. I ordered three. My combos? Short ribs, pickled cabbage and salty sprinkle cheese on a soft, fresh corn tortilla which I drizzled with habanero sauce. This was accompanied with sides of mashed black beans and rice, and two juicy limes. ¡Delisioso! The portions were the the right size. I didn’t feel bloated afterwards. The place was bustling and service quite good. Nice, sunny décor with big windows. TIP: You’ll get a cotton dish towel for a napkin. It’s a clever idea, but our laps were coated in white lint. Ask for a linen or paper napkin. A good premier for this little restaurant. I’ll be back for encores.

Not töö exciting. It was OK. Really surprising after reading the EAT section article, which made me expect something incredible. Tamales! are not served here(bummer), the Friday Night Fish Special! was the shrimp ceviche… You could tell everyone was trying hard, but they’re not quite there yet. We’ll try again in a few months.

The food was ok but the service was awful we waited 30. Minutes for the check and then she disappeared before I could give her the money. I had to track her down multiple times.

Food was quite good! The Pazole with chicken was great. The verde salsa was excellent, though not spicy, it had great flavor. The chicken tinga is exceptional. Where they have issues is with customer service. Server did not know the menu very well and could not answer any questions we had about items on the menu. Ordered the Pazole as an appetizer to share for the two of us but that didn’t come out until after our main meals had arrived. We had ordered the Pazole before ordering our meals too. Our server and his twin were hard to tell apart so we kept asking the wrong person for things throughout the night, something that could be easily fixed by using name tags! When it came time to get the bill, it was a disaster. We waited nearly 45 minutes for our bill after we had asked for it. There were 4 other tables in the entire restaurant that were occupied and they had another server on 3 of those so there is no reason for this long of a wait! Our server was folding napkins, getting himself a drink, and talking to friends while we waited. We asked for the bill 3 times and still had to wait nearly 45 minutes. Until they can fix their customer service, I cannot reccomend Cien Tacos. If I get the courage to try it again in the next few months, I will update my rating but until then it only gets 1 star.

The take-out experience tonight could have been much better. Though there were only three of us waiting for food, our orders got mixed up and we didn’t realize it until we got home. We drove back to exchange the order for our correct food, and the level of customer service at that point was disappointing at best. It was easy to see that the restaurant needs much more training on how to deal with crowds and how to deal with orders when they are incorrect. Another customer and I stood at the cash register for five minutes with various hosts and servers walking between us but not helping us. When I was finally helped, I explained that we were given the wrong food. The employee took the food and told me to sit down. There was no apology and no explanation for what happened or what the remedy would be. When we did get our food, part of our order was still incorrect but we weren’t going to drive back yet another time. The flavor of the tacos(we ordered tilapia, al pastor, chorizo, and lengua) were all decent, but nothing special. Though we had ordered lengua, we were given some other cut of beef that was decent, but not what we had hoped for(both times we tried to get it). The quantity of the meats in the tacos was chintzy as well; taco trucks in Minneapolis and St Paul offer richer meats, with more flavorful sauces, in greater quantities. The arroz con leche had decent flavor but needed to be cooked more fully. I would try this place again, but not for a few weeks or months. Some of the kinks definitely need to be worked out. The website isn’t functional and they don’t have an operating phone line yet, so I would suggest that you stay away for now. Once the servers and staff have more experience I’m sure this will be a decent place. For now, I’m more than happy to visit the food truck Taqueria La Tapatia that visits the SunRay area on weekends. That is worth every penny.

Very good tacos. Can’t wait to try the burritos. Note the wait was a little long but it was the first day.
