My husband and I stopped here for a quick bite to eat on our way to Portland. I was so surprised by the menu of HOTDOGS at an Asian restaurant… that probably should have been the clue that we should try someplace else to eat… but we were hungry and in a bit of a hurry so we ordered… my husband had the teriyaki chicken and egg rolls. I had the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice substitute for while rice. The food was sub par. My chicken was dry… so, so dry. The rice was ok. Nothing to write home about. My husband’s egg rolls were small and lacking flavor, as was the teriyaki chicken that has the teriyaki just squeezed on top of it before serving. The staff were loud, we could hear them speaking Spanish in the kitchen from the other side of the room. You bus your own tables and food is served on throw away plates and they have plastic silverware. We were definitely disappointed with our choice in choosing this restaurant. We won’t be returning here.

Pan Asian Express is located in the Woodburn Premium Outlet mall. OMG, I didn’t think it was possible to find a place with food this terrible. When I took my 1st bite of the sweet and sour chicken I thought, eww, I took a second bite and did a double eww, my 3rd bite went into my napkin and the rest of the plate went into the trash. I thought about complaining to the person behind the counter, but could see the«deer in the headlights» look of indifference and just left.

Three of us were shopping around most of the day and decided to stop by for a small snack to hold us over until dinner. The menu, or should I say menus, are very odd. They have one that has Chinese food and then a totally separate menu with hot dogs? The one with the hot dogs had a list of apps and sides in small writing below it. So we each ordered the 2-piece egg rolls and one side order of rice then some cups for water. When I think of eggrolls, I think of a large fried wrap stuffed with vegetables! Nope! They were three inch spring rolls barely stuffed with some vegetables. Lastly, the tables were NOT clean at all. Every table that didn’t have people sitting at them were filthy… really? Can’t get someone out there to clean that up? Not that difficult, I’ve worked in restaurants before. Don’t bother coming here.

Nothing special but a surprisingly good option for the outlet mall. They make each order as it comes in and my chicken yakisoba was quite good. It was hot and the chicken was quality meat grilled perfectly. You could do a lot worse while walking around and shopping.

I got sweet & sour chicken today. When I got it my first question was: is this chicken or pork? Later when I tasted it was chicken that looks like pork but tastes like beef… Rice was dough, no flavor. If you love yourself, stay away from here… ;-) I’ll give you an update later on today if I got sick lol.

This place is completely forgettable and, trust me, that’s a good thing. Usually I write long reviews but since most people will not travel to the outlet mall to eat here, and will instead pick at the last moment I don’t see the point. They have Americanized Chinese food and and hot dogs here. The place was hopping on a Saturday but I think that’s do to how few choices they have at the outlet mall, a thin selection I found stunning. Avoid this place if you can help it.

Food was OK from price and quality considering it is in an outlet/shopping area. $ 7.50 for a teriyaki chicken plate was OK. A plate of sticky rice, some boiled cabbage at the side and two quite large chicken pieces with teriyaki sauce out of the bucket. Actually we had two dishes for a family of 4 and we were satisfied. Chicken was grilled through but not too dry. We were happy. Interior is very loud and not very inviting. Outside is fine. Cleanliness was OK.

Why the negative reviews? This place is what it is: A place for a lunch break while shopping at this giant outlet mall. I disagree that it’s over-priced. My wife and I(my wife is a Filipina) each had the chicken yakisobi. The serving was large, tasty, and reasonably priced. My wife thought the food was just fine, and the whole place reminded her of the Mall of Asia in Manila. She’s right; I’ve been there several times with her. The placed was packed with people, many of them Filipino also, and they seemed to appreciate the food as well. Check out our blog«Rose’s Café» at:

This is perhaps the strangest place to eat ever. It’s called Pan Asian Express, but they also have random American type dishes. I got a hot dog of some sort with sauerkraut… The picture on the menu showed that it came with fries. My meal came out with chips instead! I must say this was the most disappointing meal I had on my mini vacay. Meh… Some of the people I was with had the ramen dish, which looked like they took two bags of instant noodles and put it in a bowl. My friends liked it, but I just don’t know how I feel about paying to eat instant noodles in a restaurant.

I was here with my family who was visiting from Hong Kong(HK). Here is the review from them. They said the food was decent, but not great. The kids like it, the fried rice was oily than normal. I understand that you need oil to keep it from sticking to the wok but rice should not be shiny. Also they have one TV in there. It was showing a music video, but it was Christian music. The video showed people singing along waving their arms and crying, just not a the right place to be showing that kind of stuff in my opinion. It can be a turn off. Makes me want to eat my oily rice fast and leave.

Hello overprice and not so good food!!! Well it is inside woodburn outlet. Has an american menu(fries, hot dog ect) and a fake asian menu(teriyaki +udon) The teriyaki here is rubbery, worse than most places. The udon is plain, like no flavor. The potstickers are frozen(not handmade by them) and are fried) The udon + teriyaki chicken with potsticker cost 15. Not a lot of places to sit usually. A lot of flies too!

Big portion, but my stomach was a little bit upset after eating here. I wouldn’t recommend unless you really have to have some(Americanized) Asian food.

Was visiting the Woodburn Outlet Mall this past Sunday afternoon. I got the Chicken Fried Rice. It was a good dish since I was hungry. It got very crowded as people started to roll into it around 1 o’clock. There is lots of variet to choose from … include hot dogs and Ramen noodles. I found it to be somewhat clean … People clean up after themselves. However the floor can be better maintained. Overall, I would recommend this place to eat when you need a break from shopping.

This restaurant is located inside of the Woodburn Outlet Mall. I can’t say that it is good or bad. It is just average. You order your food at the counter, and they give you a number to place on your table. The funny thing is that when your food is ready, they call you to the counter to pick up your food. What is the purpose of giving you a number to place on your table??? My fiancé ordered the Hot and Spicy Toufu. She would score it 5 points out of a possible 10 points for taste. I ordered the Chicken Teriaki Plate. I was surprised the it tasted better than I thought and the portions were decent. I’d score my Chicken Teriaki Plate a 6.5 out of 10 possible points. As I said in another review about the Woodburn Outlets, there are not a whole lot of restaurants to choose from. If you are really hungry, this place is better than nothing. I would recommend leaving the mall to get something to eat rather than eating here.

For food in a mall setting(… not looking for superb… just quick) it fits the bill. There american menu… Corndog… my son ordered and disliked… their fries were weird… haha. I tried ordering Sweet and Sour Pork off the menu and they were out. I tried ordering an eggroll and they were out she said… I ordered Teriyaki Chicken(not a preferred decision obviously)… It was good. I dislike the seating… although outside is nice with fresh flowers hanging nearby!

Mmmm mmmm! Best americanized chinese fast food I’ve had! I had the Spicy Tofu dish which was delicious! The tofu was done perfectly. There were plenty of large chunks of veggies and the sauce was delicious. Other sauces such as sweet & sour and teriyaki were available condiments. The Chicken Teriyaki w/Egg Rolls my bf had was great. The dish had nice big pieces of tender grilled chicken. The rice in our dishes were well done. No complaints :) Overall we were very very satisfied. LARGE portions, quick, reasonably priced and tasty! Definitely would go again.

It’s pretty slim pickins in the food category when you’re down in Woodburn on a marathon bargain shopping trip. We’d wanted to go to the famed Luis’ but the clock was ticking and we’d planned a massive Korean feast to cook up at home. Gorging twice in a day wasn’t going to happen. The choices at the outlets are Subway, a Baja Fresh ripoff, Auntie Anne’s pretzels and Pan Asian Express(now featuring hot dogs!). Maybe I was under the effects of scoring insane deals on jeans but I picked a hot dog. I ordered a Chicago dog. It was nearly a foot long, but bland, room temp and generally uninspired. The tomatoes were pink and somehow even the relish was boring. I doused it with as much mustard as possible but in the end, the bun, which tasted microwaved, not steamed(yet it also had weird hard chunks) made me give up. I passed it off to the SSBB and even he couldn’t muscle it down. Next time I’ll spend my $ 8.95 on chocolate covered gummy worms from Harry & David’s.
