it’s a diner, the food was good just the décor is lacking on the interior. renovations not complete so it’s not quite right. one major issue why no espresso?

Great diner food! Usually visit for breakfast. Love their omelettes and pancakes. Ordered a salad once and it was decent. Good sized portions for the price. Service is quick and friendly. Ample parking and the wait isn’t bad.

This place is shit! I order a steak omelette and I get 3 slices of London broil on the side of 2 eggs over easy with melted dogshit over the top! This place needs a box of nails and 17 sheets of plywood!

I am somewhat sad since the recent renovation of the Reo’s façade. This iconic landmark of Woodbridge had maintained their façade for so long and now it’s all new and garish, not really a testament to their longevity in this town. Like any other diner, their food is varied and decent. On the cleanliness scale: 7 out of 10. Their wait staff is polite although not outwardly friendly and welcoming.

Diner food not to be confused with the expectation of fine dining. If your looking for Great burgers, chicken fingers, soups, Cole slaw, pasta, sandwiches, or a great salad then you found it. This diner is convenient open 24⁄7365 days. They have a huge menu offering anything from fried fish and chips to a baked lasagna or House made French onion soup. There is a large display of desserts from cheesecakes, carrot, chocolate cake or pie and a cookie or Cannolis.

I was not very much impressed. Took my mom there for a coffee and a peace of a pastry and first of all the cup was all with coffee stains on the outside I would think they serve it on little plates under the cup not much of a first impression. I know I won’t go back

I’ve been to the Reo Diner a handful of times over the last few months. I can’t say that it’s great, nor can I say that it’s bad. What I can say, is that, well, it’s a diner and you get what you pay for. The food is cheap but tasty, the staff is friendly enough, and they are open 24 hours, a huge plus for Jersey diners. I have yet to find a diner that I really like in this area; therefore, Reo has found a place at the top of my diner list.

Love this place. Great lunch specials and large portions. Service is usually solid. Recent hits include the Beef Stew and the Beef Tips with mushrooms over rice. JPD

Food was great. Diner food… what’s not to like? If one does not like diner food, don’t go to one. Good friendly service.

we were seated on the empty side although I saw tables on another side which look like a nicer place to sit. I then started to notice that the empty side was partially filled with us minorities. also noticed this side was dirty Windows filthy and the unattractive waitress was rude. i will never go their again

I used to eat at the Rio about 40 years ago. It was nice to be back there on a visit to New Jersey. Food was great service was excellent. I had one of those New Jersey specials a California burger and french fries with gravy. It was great. Anyone who goes to a diner in New Jersey and then complains about getting diner food confuses me. Great food good service classic New Jersey

The food here sucks extremely?! it’s typical New Jersey disgusting diner food. the bread the butter down to the waffle all poor quality, all heart clogging meals. The club sandwiches were disgusting but quality of bacon was disgusting the owner was money hungry, it’s disgusting place Everything I had here was bad I regret going here the place is nice outside though. but typical New Jersey food something shitty that locals seem to enjoy. Yuck. I will have to be drunk or stuck inside the building for some odd reason to come back here

As far as diners go, the Reo is top notch. We came here on a Sunday evening to meet our wedding photographer. We were quickly seated in the back of the diner and brought our drinks by our very friendly waitress. She seemed to realize we were in a meeting and left us to ourselves until we wrapped up with them, which was very thoughtful of her We decided to stay to eat after the photographers left and no one at the table was disappointed. Like any good diner menu, the options were endless. All day breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, panini, club sandwiches and even«fat» sandwiches. I got a turkey club sandwich on toasted wheat bread. The bacon as well as the French fries were crispy, non greasy perfection. The icing on the proverbial cake was the cup of thick and flavorful brown gravy that I just can’t eat fries without at a diner. You can’t beat a $ 50 check for dinner for 5 people… that’s what’s so great about a diner. I would certainly return to the Reo when I’m in the area.

My husband and I came in for breakfast on a Sunday and were seated right away. I ordered one egg over medium with bacon and it came with home fries and toast. The over medium was closer to over easy but the bacon was perfect– not burnt and dry and not soggy. The toast was way over buttered to the point that the bread was actually breaking apart when you picked it up because it was so saturated and heavy. I usually ask for butter on the side and that is definitely necessary for this place unless you like wet soggy toast. The home fries were good but burnt on the bottom like they weren’t turned/tossed frequently enough. Husband’s Spanish Omelet was large and good. He enjoyed it. Our server was quick and friendly. Overall, a good diner experience and a solid 3 stars.

Unilocal’s A-OK description is spot on. Its a typical diner and nothing really stood out to me. The Good: Rock bottom prices for lots of food. Even though the quality is average, the portion is generous and the even more generous is the price. Service was fast and friendly, and there were free refills on the lemonade. The Bad: Nothing outright bad to speak of. Conclusion: Feel free to stop here for a bite to eat. I would come through again.

To put it in the colloquial«It’s a Dinna» The name says it all Reo Diner It is the classic diner trailer-shaped building with the endless choice menu. I have eaten here many times, and I’ll admit I have not tasted every item on the menu, and some of the choices I do not like. That being said –the food is good. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and the restaurant and restroom are kept clean. I have never been here in the evening. Breakfast & Lunch are always busy. Not much more to say. In a nutshell. It’s a clean diner with good food, good service. And good prices.
