I honestly don’t know how this store scored so high. I hate coming here because it seems like I have to go around and around to find items. And I get it, this is an international store. That’s not my problem. I’m not sure I wouldn’t have a hard time finding french fries either. But I wanted to make a Vietnamese dish, which didn’t call for unusual ingredients. Actually I was able to find everything, except for the bean spouts. But let me start with the sauce. I was able to find it, but the one I wanted didn’t have a price. I spent a good 5 minutes trying to find the price, then I asked one of the workers. She looked herself, and then said she would be back. It felt like 10 minutes before she came back. And then, she came back with the sauce… and it carried a price tag that was handwritten. Don’t know who wrote it, don’t know where they got the price from. So… not impressed with that. Secondly, the bean sprouts. After looking for them, I asked a guy that worked there. He called a lady who also worked there to help… said something to her and they both started laughing. What was so funny? That’s very rude to start laughing, especially since my first language is English. I’m sorry that I only know German other than English, and secondly I would never crack a joke in front of a customer in a different language. That’s childish, but whatever. So she went in the back and was able to provide the bean sprouts. Back from where? Who knows… And lastly, checking out. Fair warning, if you use a credit card… be ready to show some ID that matches. Meaning if you have your maiden name on your license and it doesn’t match your credit card, you’re screwed. I don’t like this store and try my best not to shop here.

I’m from Hawaii and we have many choices and ethnic food groups. I was amazed Todo’s had most of all the ingredients needed to make some Ono Hawaiian food. Come on people. …and patronize this market.

This place is great if you want to get central american food or are looking for good deals on vegetables. They seem to always have killer prices on fruit and veg so check them out. On foods that you see a lot in central american cooking such as limes and avocado expect to see major savings at this place. Its also the best place in town to buy spices. They have a lot of spices(garlic powder, chili powder, blah blah blah) for $ 1.00 each which is fantastic. I come here whenever I need to stock up on spices and sauces and whatever.

Todos is like a cultural immersion exercise and museum all within a legit supermarket. They do offer essentially all the regular American products that you would expect at a regular supermarket, but also a wide range of Latin products, many I’ve never heard of. They sell fresh cheeses and tortillas, a variety too large for me to comprehend or attempt to explain. They also have a pretty busy buffet in the back that looks great.

Went there for the first time a few weeks ago for a quick takeout lunch. Holy Cow the beef tacos were amazing. They were by far the best I have ever had and I will most certainly be back. I was extremely impressed with the selection and will need to try everything.

This is the place to go for all Latin food cooking. Most likely to find the specialty items here than at any other international market. Low prices on their produce. The smell from their bakery will eventually draw your eyes to a large variety of Latin breads and pastries. I have tried their food counter, that is some good lunch! Food bar selections and tacos, pupusas made to order. Lots of choices. They also serve cheese, chicken and pork tamales made Mexican or Salvadorian style, not bad at all! The drinks: made of just about any seasonal fruit, but horchata is always my favorite. Horrible parking lot, potholes and unkept. Seems like it will eventually get fixed. This place could and should look better.

This store offers a nice variety of things but, Me and my husband had a few bad experiences with customer service here. Due to this, we only go here to buy things in an emergency situation because we live so close to it. For example, When I was pregnant during the winter of 2011 – 2012, I came to Todos to use my WIC vouchers to buy vegetables and other items specified on my vouchers. By the time I had made my selections that were on the Virginia List of approved items on my pamphlet and was way to the cashier, several items were not registering as approved items I could buy in their system. Even after showing the cashier and manager the items were approved on my list of items, I still had to walk back to the vegetable and fruit section(pregnant) 2 times! to find something they said i could buy that would register as a WIC item. Not even the manager would go to check what items I could buy or even go to get the right items for me. I had to call the WIC office to complain that I could not go to this local store that was convenient for me to buy WIC approved items because Todos wasnt on top of classifying what was approved by WIC in their systems. Last month, I had purchased sour cream in a small tub and when I opened it at home that night I realized it was watery and chunky. My husband returned it to get another one, and he ended up making 3 trips back to the store because the whole batch of that brand was bad. After his third trip back to the store, he told the manager on duty that he would like to have a different brand because the entire batch was bad, and they made him run to his car to get .52 cents extra to make up the difference in price! After all the chaos. Monday October 1st, I had to run and get an item here and couldn’t find a cart inside the store. Not realizing, they had posted a small typed sign on the outside of the building stating that«the carts are now located outside of the building», I had asked the Manager if I could take a free cart that was sitting near a register, and she told me I had to go all the way around to the front of the building, Exit and re-enter again to get a cart. Me and My husband agree that the customer service here needs to step it up a few notches to say the least!
