DONOTEATHERE! This restaurant was also known as La Luna, located at the same address as Restaurant Abi Azteca Grill and Bar. From the outside we saw signs that this place did way too much, like subs, Mexican, and salads. When we walked in the restaurant was empty and there were a few people at the bar. The menu had lots of different cuisines like Italian, El Salvadorian, Mexican, subs, and American food. My wife ordered the Mexican burritos which came out with canned beans and rice not wrapped like a burrito with cold slices of American cheese on top of each burrito. My wife sent it back and the waiter said he would fix her the other Mexican burritos. I finished my fajitas, which were not very good. The menu also said there food was made fresh, I highly doubt it. The rice and beans brought out with my food were from a can an bag and tasted terrible. My stomach was upset the next day. I highly recommend that you pass this restaurant up and go down the street to El Paso Mexican Restaurant.

I’m being generous with my rating only b/c my husband’s food was ok. But my first impression of this restaurant was not good. I went ahead of my husband who was at Lowe’s and sat down. I had to get the waitress attention to tell her we would be 2 for lunch. She never returned to give me even a glass of water and when I called her over and said, can I at least have a glass of water while I wait, she snapped at me that I did not ask for one! Really! When my husband did arrive it was a long time between when we ordered until we got our food. My food was OK but not as fresh as I would have like for the Papua I was looking forward to. It’s not a terrible place but I am not returning.

I wish I would have checked Unilocal like I normally do prior to going to Selena’s Grill. I usually do, but we were doing some shopping at Lowe’s(next door practically) and we decided to give this place a shot. Here’s our experience on a nutshell. My family and I went for lunch on Sunday. We were the only customers in the restaurant, which immediately raise a red flag but didn’t walk out. 1. Customer Service: We were greeted by the only staff there, she was also our waitress. She was cold and gave us the impression that we were bothering her with our presence. My mother had a question about an item on the menu… again cold, acted like her question was a bother(like we should know). 2. Atmosphere: It was OK… if you want to go watch a soccer game and have beer. I saw Happy Hour specials signs which were appealing for that type of thing. 3. Food: My kids ordered the mini-burritos, they got this HUGE burritos Chiptle size… we asked the waitress if that is a «mini», she said yes. They were all rice, not very flavorful at all(Chipotle far superior). My dish, my wife’s dish and my mom’s dish were not any better, too salty, didn’t look fresh, didn’t taste fresh, and yes still a cold waitress that seemed to be more annoyed every time we asked her questions. Keep long story short, this was our worst lunch experience ever! And to top it all off, my 4 year old daughter and wife, got FOODPOISING!!! STAYAWAY!

Please stay away from this place. I paid an expensive $ 25 for two of the most disgusting looking food I’ve seen. I ordered«breakfast selena». Supposedly it comes with rice as stated in their online menu but they didn’t add it to the plates. The fried plantains looked like charcoal. The eggs were plain and tasteless. The refried beans looked like cat poop. After calling the business to complain, we didn’t even get a sorry or offered another dish. In fact, they lady got an attitude and hung up. Please don’t waste your money at this tired and abandoned establishment!!!

RUNDONOTWALK. Walked in, waited to be greeted for five minutes. Hispanic female not looking happy to see two white patrons. Restaurant was empty except for two Hispanic couples. Very unhappy waitress took our order for drinks, appetizers and burritos. I showed her a valid coupon for buy one get one free burrito lunch or dinner from the very popular Attractions book for Prince William. She looked at the coupon as if she had never seen one. Took the order brought drinks then came back and said, «manager not take.» I asked why and she smugly sighed and said nothing, stood there looking stupid. I said we are leaving then because every reputable restaurant takes Attractions coupons since the restaurant has a contract with them to have their coupons in the Attractions book. I left and quickly called and reported them to Attractions. This restaurant is very questionable in my book and if the manager is this sketchy I certainly wouldnt trust their food quality nor food safety. Been in the restaurant business for 33 years and Selenas is not a place I would recommend.

Not sure how authentic all the negative reviews are. I’ve been to this place several times, and the food rocks. Love the fried calamari & the quesadillas.

Selena’s Grill has a seemingly authentic, varied menu, with a few«American» sandwiches and apps thrown in for good measure. The décor is simple, and half the restaurant is technically a bar, but the quality of the food didn’t really measure up. The chicharones were overcooked and very hard and dry, which is a shame because the yucca fries were delicious and perfectly crisp. The lomo saltado was good but not great, and made better with the addition of hot sauce. The fried calamari appetizer was your typical fare, served with a homemade marinara and a wedge of lime. I was so disappointed by the chicharones and the slow service, it pretty much spoiled the meal for me. On the plus side, there is ample parking and their portions are generous if you find something you like on the menu.

I came to this place for lunch on Friday the 20th around 12:30−1. The moment I walked in with my co worker the bartender who ended up being our waitress looked at us as if she didn’t want us there. As if we were going to interrupt her. With this in mind i thought maybe she had a bad day. she walked over to our table and doesn’t even introduce herself. So I tried to interact with her. I asked how she was doing and even asked what she would recommend from the menu. All she gave was simple answers. Not helpful at all. Then after we placed our order, she started having a conversation with a guy at the bar. Our table was not too far from the bar we were able to hear the whole thing. She was cursing and going off about her relationship. All we wanted was to have a peaceful lunch and we got the total opposite.

So this place is quaint, I wouldn’t consider the service excellent but our waitress was nice. I was brought the wrong dish twice, the miscommunication was odd because I am fluent in both tongues understood in this establishment but either way they did attempt to fix the issues. My husband’s dish was brought out correct the first try. The food was good — not excellent. I would say definitely try this place, it won’t rock your socks off but it’s suitable for a quick bite.

Cute little place. Food was a wee bit oily, but it felt like home made. Jeannette L.‘s review was spot on… Hole in the wall but DELICIOUS! I will definitely return.

Good food and good prices for the area. I had my birthday dinner there and the owners made it special and a bit fancier. yes the décor is dated but the fajitas and guac over come it.

Looks like this is a new latin joint in Woodbridge. There are two entrances, one for the bar side which the advertise that they play football games while the other is the diner. There’s a huge window between the two rooms. I wasn’t entirely impressed by the décor but I really like their pork pupusas. Pupusas are traditional Salvadoran dish made of a thick corn tortilla stuffed with bean, cheese, pork, beef or chicken. We ordered 5 pupusas, bean and cheese, pork and cheese and beef and cheese but the pork and cheese is the best while the bean and cheese is decent but I did not like the beef and cheese at all. It didn’t have much flavor and was pretty dry. It came with pickled cabbage(curtido) and a tomato sauce for dipping. I looked at the rest of the menu and I think it was a big pricy(14+dish) for what the place looked like. It was actually latin and american food. I’m not entirely impressed with the whole menu so I did not order anything else.
