Pollo Latino A La Brasa

Good food good price. Chicken was tasty and flavorful. The menu board was all taped over. They didn’t have plantains like I wanted. Restaurant needs a fresh coat of paint.

My daughter’s dad loves this place and he got me and my mom hooked on it. The chicken is sooo moist and flavorful, even the skin is fantastic and I hate chicken skin. The rice is pretty good and all of us are nuts about the beans. I’m not sure what else they have because I’ve never been in but my daughter’s dad says theres not much else. I love it! I only deducted a star for lack of options.

This is a solid charcoal chicken restaurant. There are many that are better, but that doesn’t mean these guys are bad.
I stop in here pretty frequently because of the proximity to my job. Everytime I’m here, the same employee works the register with a smile. The food is always quick to come out too.
The inside of the restaurant is pretty run down, even borderline gross. I dont expect a whole lot since it is on Jeff Davis hwy, but still, its pretty ratty.
The food is good, not great. The chicken is always hot but doesn’t have the flavor I crave out of pollo ala brasa. The white sauce is watery, but you are able to get a larger container of it for only a buck. Also, they dont offer anything else on the menu besides chicken. So the variety is very limited.
I’ll keep coming back for a quick and cheap lunch, but I wouldn’t bring a friend here.

Had ½ a chicken. It was moist and flavorful, and the skin was nice and crisp. Did not try the yuka, rice or beans, but by the way they were selling I’m sure they are good too.
Will be back when the Peruvian chicken crave hits.

Okay so this place isn’t located in the best side of town, but I have to say the food is great and so is the service. I recommend their Peruvian style chicken not only is it delicious but it is easy on the pockets, a whole chicken with 2 sides is less than $ 15!
