I just moved here a few weeks ago and brought my bikes in for service. A week later I picked them up and as they were rolling out my road bike, the mechanic said«Oh this one has a flat(road bike), I’ll put some air in it.» As I’m walking to my car I realize there is a huge black skid mark on my grey tires. I roll my fingers over it and feel a flat spot. So I bring it back in and ask about it and they agree that it looks like someone did a power skid with it. Then everyone plays ignorant saying they don’t know how that could have happened and the mech who worked on it(not there) would never have done that. Not a single apology… not even an attempt. They just stand there dumbfounded. Absolutely ridiculous and totally unprofessional! And to top it off… the next day I wake up to a flat tire… perfect! I’ve been riding bikes seriously for 27 years and am a firm believer in supporting your local(mom & pop) bike shop, but I will never step foot in that store again. Finding a new bike shop. BUYERSBEWARE… they don’t test ride… they joy ride.

I have always gotten excellent customer service from Olde Towne Bicycles. Every time I come into the store I am greeted and taken care of. One time I bought a new bicycle from Performance that had warped rims. Olde Towne took repaired these with no problem and a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Josh is THE man!!! He is not only very knowledgeable about all things bike related but he is the most cutest and adorable dude around. I went in to get my bike repaired. The rear gear was sticking. I called. Josh said he had to see the bike before he could quote a price. I wheeled the bike in and before I stopped he said he already saw the problem. The tensions in the back were broke. He fixed my bike in fewer than 15 minutes. He also hooked my bike up with a bell. Love him! Love this place!

My first purchase from this store was in 2005 or 2008. The staff at this store knew what they were doing and got me on a great mountain bike that day. Over the years they have also done a great job doing basic maintenance on my bike, at a cheap price. This summer I decided it was time to get a new bike. This time around I wanted to get a hybrid or a road bike. I have never even sat on anything but a steel frame mountain bike. So I started to educate myself on the differences between a road or hybrid bike. Over the course of about 2 months, I visited Olde Town Bicycles in Woodbridge on the weekends, to ask questions about what they had and what I saw online. While making my visits to the store I probably have spoken to everyone that works there. I found the staff to be easy going and knowing their products. Never once did I leave the store without an answer to my questions. I never felt pressured to buy anything. I was greeted as I walked into the store every time, but was given space to look around, and when I was ready someone was always ready to answer one of my many questions. Most of the time I spoke with a guy named Larry. I recommend if you visit this store, that you find him. Today I visited a few of the other local bike shops to confirm the information I gathered before I bought my new road bike. I am 100% sure at this point if anyone needs a nice bike and does not know about them Olde Town Bicycles is the place to go. I purchased my new bike today and hope this store and Larry are still around when I am ready for my next Trek!

The people that work here are the epitome of degenerates. The service staff look like they are 12 years old and stripped a brand new hub I just recently purchased. I read the poor reviews and was apprehensive about coming here but decided to bite the bullet and go since it was so close. Rest assured I am never coming here ever again. The owner blatantly told another customer to flat out just to leave him alone and to go away. The customer service is terrible, the items they stock are mediocre at best, and the labor & craftsmanship is simply a joke its not even amusing. My advice put simply is: don’t waste your time or money. Go elsewhere and save yourself the trouble and grief. I sure wish I did.

So they say they have a 30 day return policy if you’re not completely satisfied. I picked up a couple of Treks for me and my girlfriend. We rode them home which was about 1 mile. Couple days later, I went online and saw that Performance was having a good sale. We saw better bikes then what we had at a better price. So we never rode our Treks knowing we would return them on the weekend. Of course they had to find some bullsh*t reason to charge a restocking fee. Said the brakes were used and now it cant be sold at full price. Horrible. Those bikes were as close to brand new as anything in the store thats been test ridden. Too many bike shops around for me to ever go back there.

I went here today in search of a bike to do casual recreational rides on around the neighborhood, and possibly commute on in the future. I went in and CJ greeted me. I told him I was looking for a starter bike, and he directed me to a seemingly great bike for the job. He described his features, and had me try it out. I told him I didn’t want to make any impulse buys, and that I needed some time to think about it. He wrote all the info about the bike on a card for me and it didn’t come with an ounce of pressure. So now I have a couple days to think about it… …Okay I couldn’t take a couple days to think about it. I went back today and bought it! Some guy who didn’t give me his name helped me purchases it, because CJ was with another customer. However CJ was out in the parking lot as I fumbled to put my bike in my car. He showed me how to do it all and safely, and made me put it in and out my my car several times to make sure I could do it well and correctly. I really appreciated this care. Def ask for CJ when you go into the store.
