Master Salons

I took my daughter to a stylist at Master Salons (She now works out of her home) for a weave. She had done her hair in the past and had done a good job on the in betweens. She suggested that I do a full sew in to prevent damage to the leave out. I took her on 7−1−15 and paid $ 240. She did such a poor job it had to be removed and done over a week later. She had cut the cap so the part looked a mess, she used yarn to sew the braids and they were coming out, there was thread popping through. It was just a mess. I contacted her and explained my dissatisfaction and requested at least a partial refund since I had to spend another $ 300 to fix her mess. She said the best she could off was $ 50 off on the next full sew in. There will be no «next full sew in». She told me I should have brought her back in to fix what she did wrong. My daughter wasn’t even in town when she got it redone and why would I let her re-​do it after making a complete mess the first time. The only reason I gave two stars is because Helaina is a nice person and she’s done good work in the past. Full sew ins are obviously not her specialty and she charges too much based on her skill level.

The stylist gave me a bomb relaxer but she is VERY scissor happy, the relaxer was also $ 75 which is very pricy. I never let her trim my hair again. I didn’t go to her for 9 months just to experiment on how long I could go without a relaxer. I gave in and once again I was paying $ 75 for a relaxer. She didn’t apply it to all of my hair so my hair was partially straight partially curly. After about 2 weeks I got a sew-​in (protective style) which I kept for a month. When I took it out my hair had BROKE OFF SO BAD. It was tragic and I was broken hearted. I knew it was because the relaxer was not applied properly. I immediately called her to ask if there was anything she could do. She said the least she could charge me was 80 DOLLARS. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?! I was asking her to fix HER mistake and she was trying to charge me ! Long story short is Laryse is the WORST stylist I have had in my life. If I could give her 0 stars I would. If you’re thinking about going to her PLEASE think twice.

I tried a facial with Cathy at Master Salons which I had purchased through Groupon. I loved it, and the price (even without a Groupon) was ok. But when I tried to make an appointment for another facial, Cathy didn’t get back with me until I followed up my voice mail with an e-​mail. When I replied to her e-​mail, I didn’t hear from her again. Long story short, the facials are excellent but their customer service sucks.
