Lord & Taylor

I recently shopped at this store in the women’s shoe dept and I also dealt with a rude salesperson (Pat #83 939 074). I found a sale shoe that I liked and asked her if I could have the mate to this pair. She was unable to find it and asked me if I had any other shopping to do so that she would continue to look. When I came back a half hour later, it was obvious that she hadn’t even looked as the shoe was back out on the sale table. I again asked her to look and she went in the back and said she was unable to find it. Since this I really wanted this shoe, I asked her to check the system to see if any other store had (apparently 2 stores did), but she refused to call since ‘it only stated that they had one so they probably don’t have any’. Rude. I asked her for the paper, I called the store myself the next day and they sent me the shoes. I am really ticked off because I had to pay a shipping fee which I wouldn’t have had to pay if she wasn’t so lazy! I have been on the phone now trying to get the shipping fee refund for way too long. I am a long time Lord and Taylor customer, but I am cancelling my card and NEVER shopping there again.

they have really great sales and the 20% discounts are great but the sales people are rude. I was purchasing a pair of shoes for my husband and the sales person Margaret acted as if I was bothering her I asked for one pair of shoes and she brings out right size but wrong shoe. seems like she got annoyed at that and then made me wait to get my other shoe while she checked out the people behind me then after she was done with them asked me «what shoe do you want now «I almost walked out at that point but he wanted the shoes. She then began a conversation with her co-​worker never even looked at me the rest of the transaction and when I told her I had a 20% coupon she said its not valid on this item. I had just used it upstairs on ralph lauren and Michael kors and worked just fine. I asked her «youre not even going to try?» at which point she obliged and it did come off, no thank you, no have a nice day, nothing RUDE!!. I walked out fuming I had just spent close to $ 400.00 in this store and got treated worse than at a 99 cent s store.

Maybe because it’s in a relatively downscale mall but the prices at this L&T are much lower than others in the chain.

This had to have been the most friendly Lord & Taylor I have ever been to.
I was looking for long tops and they happened to have a 60% off sale, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt. I ended up with 4 tops and a dress for $ 63, and all but the dress are work appropriate and unintentionally perfect for a pregnant woman’s work wardrobe.
And the sales people were really nice. Not the least bit pushy, just nice and friendly. And I was dressed poorly – zipper fleece, T-​shirt which insisted on exposing my belly, and a cheap elastic-​waisted heather grey miniskirt (my version of sweatpants).
This was the highlight of last week’s shopping trip.
