Excellent physician, cares about his patients, and is always timely with his advice and his availability. His experience as a world-​class surgeon overseas is evident in his thorough care of patients that need referrals to surgery, and is spot on with his recommendations. He genuinely puts the ‘family’ back in family practice.

I’ve been taking my kids to Dr. El-​Mawan for about 3 yrs. He’s a decent dr. & does the necessary things. He’s not real great about explaining things or giving you info though. My son had bloodwork & they never called me with the results so I assumed all was well. He ended up back, sick & we were told at the appt. his bloodwork showed he was positive for strep. The bloodwork came in days before & no one called. I saw him & also had bloodwork done. Nurse told me 2 – 3 days for it to come back. Then when I call on day 3 recpt. said it takes 2 – 3 wks. I called 3 more times after wk. 2 to check. I specifically asked twice if they will call me as soon as it comes in as I was suffering with a miserable allergic reaction/​hives. They never called. I called & got the results. (3 wks. 1 day to get them) The dr. asked me rather bizarre questions at appt. also. I’m looking for a new dr. now, one who acts like they care & actually returns calls & gives you your lab results without having to be hunted down.
I was very ill & needed meds. I had been in the office on a wed. Called on Fri. to ask for new meds to help control hives. I was miserable. I called 3 times practically begging for a prescription. Finally on call 3 recpt. tells me the dr. is out of town for 2 wks. & she didn’t think he’d return a call. They were still open, obviously so I asked if there’s another dr. who is handling things as I was just left hanging. I ended up getting my prescription but felt it was ridiculous what I had to go through to get it. The lack of concern is my reason for looking for a new dr. I really don’t feel like these people care about my health.

I really dislike when I go to see a great doctor, yet have to deal with a rather unprofessional and rude staff. He may want to think about getting a new receptionist.

Dr. El-​Mawan has been my Dr. for over 10 years. He is attentive, kind, and gives you the attention and the time that you need and pay for. He does not prescribe medication unless you need it, he doesn’t run tests unless you need them, and even though you may have to wait a bit on some days he is the best! I refer him to everyone that I know and they all love him. Leave yourself a few minutes to find parking in this lot and do not park in the senior living parking lot, you will get towed (not maybe, you WILL). There is always parking you may just have to circle a few times :) and take the stairs (it is only one flight) it is good for your health! :)
