I’ve never been there, but it’s one of my favorite shop to make web orders from. Fast shipping: I don’t know if they use a warehouse or if they stock that place with all the odd-ball things I want, but nothing has taken more than a week to get to me, and I’m on the other side of the country. Their prices are competitive with the best of them, often a tad lower with similar free shipping deals. This might be one of the music world’s best kept secrets, but it shouldn’t be!

House of Classic Brass. Instruments, that is.(They now sell woodwinds too, apparently.) Moderate? Pricey? You decide. Several years ago, I went here with two friends who are brass players to look at horns. I saw a very beat-up looking euphonium hanging on the wall, and gave it a play. I went home, but had to return the following day to get it. It’s a Cerveny Kaiserbariton, and once I had it overhauled and the leaks fixed, it became my favorite horn.(It’s almost 100 years old by now.) Steve Dillon is well-known among brass players; he also does repairs.
