Super AMAZING! Boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary and the food was just wonderful. Great drink selection, atmosphere, and the food was wonderful. Food was very fresh. I love that this place is in Wonewoc and close to home. Some place to go to for amazing food.

An absolute amazing place to eat! I’ve ate at many of the best restaurants in America and I still to this day believe this place to be among them. It’s nice to see such a great food establishment in the humble little setting of Wonewoc. Definitely recommend this!

Just had wonderful vegetable pasta and a great summer squash with light cheese and vinegar topping. Just great. Sorbet for desert and low cal to boot. Home made, just superb.

Great food. The first night I got the wood fired ahi tuna. It was perfect. Second night I ordered the wood fired shrimp with sweet potato brûlée. Excellent. I would definitely highly recommend!

Wow, talk about an experience. Save some time and reserve a table you’re in for a treat. This place is awesome from the décor to the food and a staff to match. Started off with a *perfect* brandy old fashioned. This place has an impressive drink menu and the ability to back it up. Bread plate for an app with a freshly made loaf from that amazing wood oven. Then I had the pulled pork for my meal. I never trust getting pulled pork at other residents for fear it will let me down(and it usually does) but this was great. On the dryer side served with sauce on the side so you can make it as saucy as you’d like. The pork was great and the flavor stood out all by it self, but if you’re looking for a dripping bbq style the sauce provided was awesome too. Then came dessert, I never knew a s’more could happen this way. A brick of marshmallow, home made graham cracker crust with more chocolate than you’ll be able to imagine. The staff is awesome too. We were allowed to get right up to the wood oven hear a little history and watch the man work. It was such a fun experience. I stress that you have to make time for this place, «quick» isn’t how this place works and that was my favorite part.

If this place was in Madison it would be impossible to get a reservation. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a small town restaurant — Kelley’s does a dinner service right. The ambiance is so cool. Old, vintage everything and mismatched table and chairs. When you walk in a chalkboard welcomes you by name(you can only dine here with a reservation, usually). The woodfired stove is also visible from anywhere in the restaurant so you can see your food being cooked. I started with a Hot Buttered Rum and it was so incredibly good. Definitely the best hot drink I’ve had at a restaurant. Our table of 5 then ordered the Scarpetta Bread Dippers appetizer and I ordered the French Onion Soup. The bread came out freshly baked and the sauces that came with it were awesome(a vinaigrette, olive oil and balsamic and a sun-dried tomato pesto). The Soup came topped with crostini and provolone melted on top(from the woodfired oven of course). It was very good. Perhaps a little too much onion but that’s just me being picky. For my entrée I ordered the Salmon Wrap. It wasn’t my favorite thing I’ve ever eaten, but that’s probably because I’m not the biggest fan of Salmon. I did try the Beet Salad too however and it was out of this world. I would order that again in a heart beat. Skip adding any protein, though — my mom ordered the shrimp and was very disappointed to only receive 3 small shrimp for $ 7 extra. Their special of the night was a Pheasant dish which my dad ordered, and he finished the whole thing. For dessert we had the homemade s’more which was something I had never had before. It was delicious. Service seems slow, but that’s just the way this place functions. It’s meant to be an experience, not a fast dinner. The owners are incredibly nice and even let us watch as they prepared our food and put it into the oven. If you’re even remotely close to Wonewoc, it is worth your while to check this place out!

Stopped by after a cold hard bike ride on the Sparta Elroy trail. LOVED the atmosphere of the renovated old brick building, the ambience of the firepit, the upscale menu, and the friendliness of the owners. We were shocked that a place of this calibre was tucked away in such a tiny town. we were not surprised to learn that their customers drive from a fifty mile radius. the food was delicious. Mmmmmm what a great way to warm up and chill out after a day on the trail… by the way… we did look a bit casual compared to the other customers… but they treated us as no different… the atmosphere of friendliness permeated everyone in the room.

Go here! The first time we went we got the works, drinks, apps, entrée, dessert. Everything was excellent. The filets were the best steaks we’ve had. I have also had their salmon, excellent, and their salmon wrap, also excellent. Great atmosphere. Brian and Ellen make you feel very welcome. Be sure to call and make a reservation.
