Upon stepping into Phở 1, it’s pretty apparent that the place is quite dirty and rather small– I’m going to guess that the restaurant can seat a maximum of 40 people or so. The tables were in need of a good cleaning, and the menus have grease all over them. That, combined with the weird smell, was a bit off putting at first. But whatever, as long as the food’s good, I was willing to glaze over all this… We ordered the Goi Guon(fresh rolls) as an appetizer. The rolls were fresh, but the rice paper layer was quite thick and hard. 3 stars Bun Bo Hue– The soup itself was too bland and wasn’t strong and meaty enough for my liking. The meat was good, though. 2 stars Com tam w/sliced pork– The pork was average. I’ve had this dish at multiple Vietnamese restaurants, and the meat’s usually sweeter, softer, and juicer at other places. 3 stars Pad See Ew– Slightly sweet noodles with beef and vegetables. I think out of the four dishes we ordered, this one was my favorite. The dish packed in a lot of flavor, beef wasn’t dry or hard, and the portion was generous as well. 4 stars Overall, Phở 1 is a decent alternative if you don’t want to drive all the way to Boston. They have a large selection of both Vietnamese and Thai dishes, so I’m sure that you’re bound to find something that you’ll like.

Very good choice for a local spot. Love the phở, love the spring rolls. Chicken phở is my favorite. Entrees are fresh snd tasty. Value is good. Do not try to go at peak times with a large group. It is small and not fancy but servers are polite.

This place is pretty good. There’s not much like this around, so it gets plenty of business. It’s always jammed at lunch time, but I didn’t have to wait too long for a table for one. I’ve only had the Phở here, but it’s solidly okay. Today’s Tai Phở was just okay. The meat was dry and a bit tough, and the noodles were a bit chewy(which wasn’t a problem after a few minutes).

Came back the other day and it was great. Make sure to get fresh chili peppers to add to your bowl of phở for that extra kick!

Tiny Vietnamese/Thai venue, around 15 tables, mostly take-out, large portions, delectable and inexpensive. Solid quality from sweet, Vietnamese family owners.

Was happy to find this local Vietnamese place nearby. The food is good. Almost no difference between here and Chinatown. Had the chicken phở and it had good flavor. Perfect winter night comfort food. Also tried the sliced pork rice plate, which was pretty good, but not as well executed as the phở. The fresh spring rolls with rice paper were great. Really fresh veggies(lettuce and mint), shrimp, pork and a great peanut sauce with a dash of hot sauce(hot chili). Service was solid and got the job done. They did go above and beyond on my shake order. I always go avocado shake at a Vietnamese restaurant but the staff notified me the avocados weren’t ripe enough to make a shake. I’ve been to places that have given me rotten as well as unripe avocados and they just aren’t right or just plain bad. Loved that they told me risking me actually not ordering it. I ended up getting a strawberry shake because it was one of the ones they make with fresh fruit. This was great, featuring little chunks of strawberry throughout. Really refreshing, nice to counter balance the salty savory phở. Vietnamese food is always reasonably priced and this place is no different. We had this good sized meal for only 24 $ with tax. At the price you can keep coming back, and we plan to!

This place does not need ambiance, the food is so good, I don’t care if I had to sit inside a cardboard box!

They almost killed my sister who has a severe nut allergy. The male waiter was told twice that she has the allergy. Stupid, ignorant guy. The noodle dish had chopped up peanuts in it and she got hives, itchy throat and ears. dont go here. I rate it zero stars. Shut this place down!

Phở 1 is a tiny hole in the wall that offers delicious Vietnamese and Thai food at a very reasonable price. You have to park on the street to eat here. We started off with goi cuon– fresh Vietnamese spring rolls with shrimp. I was a little surprised with the amount of lettuce that they put in it… I’ve had goi cuon many times in Vietnam and its usually not filled with half lettuce. But still, it was good. For my main meal, I had phở. There are 2 sizes– regular and large. I asked the waitress which size most people ordered and she said people usually ordered regular, so I ordered regular. Its a pretty good portion that will keep you full. The phở was very good. I was a little surprised to find some exotic cow parts in my soup. I am boring person who likes plain beef, I think there was tripe in my soup and some other stuff, I don’t even know what it was. Anyways, I just took out the stuff I didn’t like. Our waitress was very cute and very good. Never thought I could get such good and cheap Vietnamese food in Boston!

I came in on a friday and ordered a large phở and I thought it was average. It was extremely crowded and uncomfortable. The condiments that they gave was very little. The lime wedges look ridiculously small and just a few sprigs of Thai Basil. The restaurant felt like it was inside a little house. I asked the workers here about the their background because I seem to be a bit confused whether this place is actually a Vietnamese or Thai restaurant. It’s actually a bit of both. The workers are Thai and the landlord is Vietnamese. That may explain how the cooking is actually done. I don’t think I would come back here again due to the crowded restaurant and not very good parking spots. You can find parking up the hill around the corner from the restaurant.

Since I didn’t see any reviews on bubble tea… let me do one. Service was kinda slow but flavors are delicious and use fresh ingredients… pretty good considering I’m from Chicago and there are lots of choices there.

So happy I found this place on the way to Wilmington. I was surprised at the high Unilocal reviews as it’s a Vietnamese place in Woburn which isn’t exactly know for it’s Asian delicacies. Me and my boyfriend really love a good bowl of phở and this place did not dissapoint. Ended up coming back the next day for the same dish. I had the chicken noodle soup phở with beef broth. It came with tender shredded chicken and was bursting with flavor. I added some of the table side red pepper oil and it was perfectly hot, as I like it. Delicious. I even took half of my soup to go, which I’ve never done and it was delicious the next day. I ordered a green tea bubble tea, it was more of an ice cream smoothie than cold tea milk drink. I was expecting a drink more than a dessert. Not a big deal. The bathrooms aren’t great. But the service is quick so you don’t have to worry too much. Ill be going back soon.

Ordered delivery from work because the downpour was too heavy to walk anywhere! The man on the phone was very clear and answered my questions perfectly. There is a $ 15 minimum delivery fee and since there isn’t an online menu I could find, I asked for prices and kept a mental calculation of my total. He was patient throughout the whole process. What was great though, I realized I left peanuts on my pad Thai, which is just a preference not an allergy, and called a minute or so later to adjust my order. A different person answered but quickly directed me to the man who received my call. I asked him if no peanuts was possible and turns out one of my orders was already made, but the other he would omit peanuts. The communication between employees here seems great. Delivery was normal about 45 minutes and the man was so kind and cheerful. Good was big portions and as expected for pad Thai. This was an overall a great last minute choice, very satisfied!

I had a vermicelli with pork and spring rolls with an iced Vietnamese coffee. The drink was excellent, the meal was huge and totally worth the wait. Next time, I will just call ahead and take it to go because it took a long time for the food to arrive. Really looking forward to trying their phở, drunken noodles and pad see ew. Ha, you heard me.

This is my spot when I start to get homesick. I work 14 hour days in oppressive air conditioning, nearly constantly lit by high wattage fluorescent lights. This phở shop is my respite. I usually get the chicken phở, but everything is good. I drink their coffee, and appreciate their quick service. While sipping what dark luxury remains in my cup, I put out of my mind that I probably have lived longer than I have left to live, and that I’m spending what time remains in Woburn. Woburn, I love you, but… it’s me… not you. Anyway, eat here. I eat here. I eat phở a lot. This is a good place for phở.

4⁄5 Service 4.5÷5 Food 4⁄5 Value 5⁄5 This is a lovely viet food place. It feels more like a home converted restaurant so its a bit small but homey. They have limited seated and only street parking. They get a lot of to go orders so it can get kinda busy with people walking around. First off, the staff is extremely friendly and fast. I dont think I ever ran out of water or had to wait more than 10 mins for them to take my order and receive it. I ordered there number 1 for $ 12. The portion wasHUGE but they only gave a few cuts of meat. The soup didnt feel msgish and had a nice beef broth taste to it. Overall it was a good bowl of phở and well worth its price :) if your hungry and on a budget come here! Cheers!
