Express Teeth Whitening Center

This may have actually been one of my more positive Groupon-​related experiences.
The girl was very nice, although she may have exaggerated how white my teeth were prior to the treatment.
The treatment seemed to work alright, a little less than what I expected though.

Teeth did come out a little whiter… but I could not stand sitting there for 22 minutes each time having to hold my spit in my mouth. I was surprised there was no suction tube you just had to hold it and spit it out at the end. Not sure if I would do it again

As a former BriteSmile customer, I was expecting something similar. They should change the name to Ghetto Teeth Whitening. A single person checks you in and whitens your teeth. I knew from the minute I walked in that it was going to be a huge disappointment. Since I had bought a reduced price voucher from amazon local, I ran with it anyway. The place is set up like office cubicles. There are TVs in each station but no headphones so you can hear your neighbor’s tv. The girl administering the treatment had about as much experience with teeth whitening as I do with flying a rocket ship. There is no suction available like in a dentist office do you are given paper towels to wipe any drool. Don’t get sucked into the $ 20 remineralization add-​on. From what I read online, it’s a crock. Your teeth need to do it on their own.
My teeth are slightly whiter but no whiter than I could have gotten with at-​home trays. The grossest part of the experience was rinsing and spitting into a Solo cup. Classy. Won’t be going back there again.

I went to the Norwood office: One week later, my teeth look exactly as this did BEFORE going in for the whitening treatment. I will never go back to this place and would very much like a refund! It was completely unsanitary and located in a whole in the wall. The «treatment» consists of a non-​professioal 1^st giving you vitamin e to put on your gums to protect them, 2^nd giving you a mouth guard with whitening stuff in it where you then put it in your mouth and sit in front of a wobbly blue fluorescent light for 45 minutes… all while watching Divorce Court and listening to the person, who mind you is the only person there *working desk and on you* talk on the phone. Oh, and to clean your mouth out after the treatment, she handed me 2 solo cups; one with water to rinse and one to spit into. COMPLETELY GHETTO! Next time, I will spend my money on a real place or perhaps, a mouthguard to just do it myself!

Just wanted to update everyone on this. A couple of weeks after I submitted my review, I was contacted by the owner of Express Teeth Whitening Center. He said he appreciated the review although he was disappointed to see that I didn’t have a stellar experience. He was mostly concerned about the fact that I was charged an additional $ 20 for «higher level peroxide» since this service doesn’t even exist. Basically, I was duped by an employee looking to make an extra couple of bucks. He was super nice and apologetic, and indicated that he would be taking action against the employee and conducting additional trainings and oversight of the employees at this location and other sites. He even mailed me a check to make it up to me.
All in all, yes, this place could use some work and I did have kind of a weird experience there. But the results were great and the owner is a nice guy who’s just trying to run a business. He was very responsive to my feedback and based on my conversation with him and his sincere efforts to rectify the situation, I’ll probably give Express Teeth Whitening another chance.

I was expecting a more professional (and cleaner!) operation. The process didn’t seem to do much of anything for my teeth, tho my teeth are not all that stained. I was also a little put off that there were signs all over that «This is a cosmetic procedure, not a dental office and gratuities are appreciated»

after you sign a release, she motions you to 1 of 2 dirty chairs
gives you a bib and has you apply some vitamin E to your lips
offers an overfilled peroxide mouthguard + large yellow glasses
positions the UV light so close to your mouth, it touches your lips (gross)
3 times i moved the light off my lips when she walked away
but upon her return, she always slid it back over my lips (eww)
during whitening, i counted 7 grease stains on the large lamp
she also left the hall door wide open so anyone passing by could see in
peroxide does the job, but not sure it was worth the unhygienic experience
