I’ve trained at a few places north of Boston, and this is by far the best academy on the North Shore. Jimmy is a fantastic instructor with a wealth of knowledge about jiu jitsu and muay thai, and a teaching style that enables and encourages exploration of the techniques that he’s teaching to help you find and tweak a jiu jitsu and kickboxing game that works for you. He’s created a fun, hard working environment, with a friendly, welcoming group of both men and women who come to train week in and week out. No matter what level you come into Boston BJJ Woburn at, and no matter what system you came from, Jimmy will help you get and stay in shape, improve your game, and have a blast however many nights a week you can come in to train.

Boston Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Woburn is a fantastic place to train! The facility is clean and really spacious (ie great mat space).The head instructor (Jimmy DelOrfano) is really friendly, very personable, and an extremely knowledgeable instructor. He has had a ton of experience in not only BJJ, but also other aspects of MMA, and knows his stuff when it comes to strength and conditioning! I have had a chance to train with Jimmy, and he is a very high level BJJ practitioner. He has definitely developed a really friendly, fun, and safe environment where anyone at any level can come to train, and experience all that BJJ has to offer. They offer a free trial period, so anyone curious about giving this academy a try will have nothing to lose. Again, highly recommended!

I trained with professor Jimmy DelOrfano full time for quite a while. He offers very detailed instructions and promotes a great learning environment. The culture and atmosphere at Boston Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu Academy Woburn is one of a kind. He makes Jiu-​Jitsu fun and exciting and a pleasure to learn. I highly recommend this academy over any others I’ve trained in.
