A Pet’s Choice

I regularly came here for a few years to get my dog’s nails trimmed. I never called ahead for an appointment because whenever I did they said it wasn’t needed since it only takes 5 – 10 minutes. They were always so accommodating and always did such a good job managing my rather timid dog. Yet, I noticed a change in attitude when they moved to their new location as if they were longer happy to receive my business.
The last time I went there, the woman angrily snapped at me and said I needed to start scheduling appointments. I would have no problem doing so, but did not appreciated the way in which I was told.
Needless to say, I haven’t been back and won’t be back. I’d much rather give my business locally, but I have found that PetSmart does an equally good job and are much more pleasant to deal with.

I love A Pet’s Choice! Everyone is very friendly and they all seem to really love what they do. I bring my dog here about every other month and everyone always compliments on how nice he looks after a fresh grooming. They do such a great job. I also love how he isn’t sitting a cage the entire the time, she lets all the dogs run around and play together, and if your dog isn’t in a particularly playful mood, she has open cubbies for them to sit in instead. They do get very busy so booking short notice might be a bit difficult. I always book his next appointment when I pick him up. They also offer doggie daycare (which I don’t need but it’s nice to know that they offer it just in case) and they are always posting pictures of the dogs through out the day on their Facebook page and they always look like they’re having a blast. I won’t go anywhere else!

I am VERY particular about where my dog goes and this is the ONLY doggie day care I would let him go to. They are so good and add pictures throughout the day of the dogs playing up on Facebook. The place is clean. The staff is friendly. And they offer a treat time if you want it (my dog always does)

Val saved my sanity by grooming our Persian cat on vacation from our son in New York. Her underside was terribly matted and Val knew exactly what to do… shave her tummy. Well, the cat is now here to stay and we were back for her second grooming today. Claws clipped, pads trimmed, tushie trimmed, etc. Her appointment was at 6:00 after the day care dogs had gone home so don’t worry about your cat being freaked out. Book way in advance because you need to. You’ll be quite pleased.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I was taking our Shitzu/​Lhaso Apso Mix to another groomer in the area and everytime I would take him he would virtually go into convulsions out of fear and then when I would pick him up he would try to run out the door as fast as possible. I thought he just hated being groomed but started to get curious how he would react if I tried somewhere else so I took him to A Pet’s Choice. He was instantly calmer and when I picked him up he barely noticed I was there becuase he was having so much fun with the other dogs. Their cuts seem to last longer too than the old place and he smells great for weeks AND they’re less expensive! Can’t go wrong with this place — they are hard to get an appointment at so book early but I can see why they’re always so busy!

The women here have always been SO good with our special needs dog. This place is as good as it gets! check it out and you will be glad you did.
