WARNING! Will cancel your class with short notice! Does not follow cancellation procedure. I have gone to plenty of painting with a twist, but never the one in Wixom. I decided to take my mother there as a gift since it was a halfway point between our residences. As stated on their site, cancellations can occur if the class does not have enough participants and you will be let known 24 hrs in advanced. If you wish to cancel your class for a full refund you also must do so with before 24 hrs till the scheduled class. Having said this I did not receive a cancellation notice during the time that they were required(I checked my email before going to bed the night before) to do so, bought the wine and told my boss to set the clock at work so I could leave early on the day the class was to occur. Around 4pm I received a call that the 7:30pm class had been canceled due to low volume. I was outraged to hear this as I already had confirmed with my boss that I had to leave early, and my mother was already getting ready to make the drive. Then with such short notice it was difficult to make new plans in their place. They claimed they held on to the last second to see if more people would pay for the class out of consideration for those that have already paid, but it was the most inconsiderate thing they could have done. They assured me I would receive a refund as to which I expressed that I was upset about the timing as I would not be granted a refund had I called them 3 to 4 hrs before the class was supposed to start on a Friday night saying I couldn’t make it. Just disappointed that something I love to do works with double standards. Needless to say I will not attempt to go to the Wixom location again and stick to the Ferndale location as they seem to respect their customers time. *** I was not offered a gift certificate or a transfer, I did not write your corporate office(sounds like you did this to someone else), I only called you back once as I was unable to talk while at work, and the employee only informed me that I would be receiving a refund that would take 3 – 5 days to see it in my account and that you were apologetic, and regardless you have failed to uphold your cancellation policy, at 8:30 am on the day of I am already at work for a 12hr shift. Small business or not you should uphold the same standards as any other. If you wish for better reviews I suggest in the future that you uphold the companies cancellation policy advertised on your site. And on a side note, looking up my records to see that I canceled a reservation to a sold out class only helps show your double standards as I cancelled my reservation the day after I made it for May 8th and I believe I gave you guys a three day notice not 10.5 hours to withdraw from the class. Had I waited to withdraw the day of I would not have received a refund per your companies policy

My latest visit has left me disappointed. Yesterday’s class left me confused. The premise behind PWAT is a fun outing with wine and instruction. My solo outing for the 11am-1pm class was finished at 12:35. The instructor rushed through the painting. Literally, she didn’t stop to see where painters were at. She was walking the small group through final steps when we were 3 steps behind. I know because I looked at the table behind me. It made no sense. If you are teaching novice painters then you should watch the pace of the group and adjust accordingly. Her reasoning was so that she could give individualized help. I didn’t agree and mentioned that I was behind and could she repeat something. It was not fun. I’m thankful it was something simple that I could figure out on my own as needed. I’ve been to this location before with better instruction and 15 classes at two other locations that I’ve enjoyed. I have never experienced a class like this to feel frustrated with simple acrylic painting. I hope that hasn’t become the norm for 2 hour classes to be rushed through in less than 90 mins.

**************I would like to update my review. The Owner stepped in and really made me feel like She cared about customer satisfactory. Im going to try this place again and look forward to the next adventure. Thank you very much Lisa.*************I have done this before at other locations and LOVED it. This experience wasnt that great. There were only 10 People there and they had us all jammed together even though there was a complete empty second table. So we were all bumping elbows. The teacher was nice enough, but the first hr. she was going a very even pace, kept talking little stories about herself and her own art. The second hr. was horrible. It was a difficult painting and this is when all the details ANDTHEREWEREALOT are involved and now she is rushing. The«Helper» that night didnt even seem to know much about painting and she stayed in the back mostly. This is the first time I have seen students get stressed… Usually its giggles and laughs. I threw the painting in the trash. Im sticking to Farmington location.

This was a lot of fun. The employees were hopeful for the most part. You can bring wine or beer in with you to drink. Lots of different paintings on different days. Definitely check out their website
