Let me be upfront. We dined at Otto‘s, the last night they were in business, before they closed. I ordered a steak, medium rare. It arrived, well-done. I complained. They brought me a new plate… still over cooked. The chef-owner came out to our table, and arqued that the steak was rare! Well…how do you review a restaurant, where the ownership is CLUELESS!!! I was gratefull that they re-opened. The location, works for us. Now, the revue of Otto‘s11. While the steak came, perfectly cooked, all the«sides» were just okay. While the staff are really conscienious… the kitchen is still lagging. Because of their location, I will definitely give them another. This place, deserves, to be successful. Big parking lot… Beautiful deck, for outdoor dinning… warm, inviting interior. The kitchen glitzhs, can be fixed. Hope my next visit, will be more enjoyable… Glen B.

Otto’s is open again! Just stopped in for my first time, very friendly staff. Had a great old fashion, and the pizza and cheese curds were very good.

Let me start out with the positive. I really like the atmosphere and customer service that ottos offered. The staff was more than friendly and it was a welcoming environment. We were looking for a place to enjoy some fried fish and were disappointed by the results. I can’t speak for any of the other dishes. Fried perch was overcooked and dry. Walleye was overbattered and too crispy(but better than the perch). Fries and fish were overall pretty greasy. Customer service and welcoming environment were the main things that earned the three stars for me. Hopefully there is more going on with the other menu items.

My husband and 2 young boys came to the WI Dells for the 1st time on Wednesday night. Called to see if kid friendly, reservations needed, etc. I called and spoke to Wendy and very nice. We got there and greeted friendly and our drink order for my husband and I and boys taken quickly. The young waitress took our order and we ordered appetizers and the boys meals first so they could eat. Our meals were coming with salad. Well the appetizers came and then the tables meal. When I asked about our salads she said ‚” oops do you want them in boxes?” We said no. Then we were going to order dessert and she brings is the check and says she’s sorry for the salads but she was in a hurry and rushed. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. So I asked for the manager. He came over and I explained the situation. Believe me we weren’t looking for a free meal but something for our poor service and incomplete meal would have been nice. He said sorry and took my credit card. I’m sorry to say I didn’t even tip her 10% because of poor service and I stated so on the receipt. As I told the manager the 1st impression was the worst impression. Plus for a supper club there wasn’t even a relish tray just 4 corn fritters. Hmmm you sure their mis marked as supper club instead of restaurant?

This is the type of place that you could tell thrived even before tourists found out about it. And they treat like you’re a regular coming in for the supper club. The staff is extremely friendly from the hosts, to bartender to waitress. The drinks were super cheap about $ 3 per beer and they had 3 local beers on draft. The food was spectacular, I had a burger which was huge and came on a pretzel bun and was quality in addition to quantity. I wasn’t thrilled about the baked potatoe, but the fries I heard were pretty solid. The price for the food and the drinks wasn’t what you’d expect at a place so close to the dells — it was much lower. In a «tourist trap» kind of town, Otto’s is a rock solid choice that you can’t go wrong with. It’s a little off the beaten path, but the drive is a nice one and you get to pass an outdoor drive-in theatre! I’d love to go back to Otto’s next time I come into town.

Highly recommended for a lovely meal in the Wisconsin Dells. If you’re staying in the big resorts(Kalahari, Mt. Olympus, etc) Otto’s is only about a 10 minute drive and it’s well worth it! The service was wonderful. We were greeted at the door on the way in, and escorted to our table. The ambiance is very relaxing. Otto’s has the feel of an upscale restaurant, without the prices. It was a Tuesday night, and we were one of two couples at the restaurant, which made for a nice, intimate and quiet dinner setting. It was very nice to escape the noisiness of the downtown strip! Now to the food. Tuesday night is Italian night, but we opted out and went for the ribeye steaks. Wow were they good! We asked for medium rare, and they came out a little underdone. When we asked to have them cooked a tad more, our server was very gracious. Our steaks came back they were absolutely perfect. Exactly what we asked for, done just a tad more. I highly recommend the seasoned potato skins as your potato side. They’re excellent! We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

While a bit off the beaten path, Otto’s isn’t far away. The fact that it IS off the beaten path is one of the things that makes Otto’s enjoyable — it is a nice break from the hustle, bustle and commercialization of the Dells. You also get the sense that many locals favor Otto’s. We were greeted at the door and had about a 30 minute wait for a party of 4 on a Friday night in June. Well worth the wait. The fish fry was delicious according to my dining companions — and my husband said the fried bluegill was the best he has ever had. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and got a HUGE portion. 2 chicken breasts in a delicious wine sauce over a bed piled high of pasta. Most chicken marsalas leave you chasing 2 or 3 mushrooms that are scattered in the sauce — not at Otto’s. The dish featured plenty of mushrooms and sauce and the food was cooked perfectly. Reasonable cocktail prices, reasonable food prices, delicious food and classic Supper club atmosphere. And while I have nothing against kids, the place wasn’t over-run with kids which was a nice break from everything else in the Dells. Highly recommended.
