my wife and I have eaten here 5 times in the past 2 months. Moores has the best fried chicken we have ever eaten. the potatoe salad and baked beans are fabulous. Tonight the manager gave out some rib samples and I cannot wait for the ribs to be a part of the dining experience! They were tender, juicy and the sauce was excellent. Meals are priced right and you get your monies is clean, friendly and customer oriented. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone

I’ll give them 8 out of 10 stars. For fried chicken, I usually only get wings because those pieces are the only ones fried well done enough for me. We need more restaurants that know how to fry well-done dark meat pieces. The Brunswick Stew is the best I’ve ever had. Biggest complaint is that their prices overall are too inflated. Really Moores? It’s good but that good?

Best in Pitt co. It is very clean and not like B’s BBQ that people claim is the best, read their health inspection online. Moores is clean, fast, and delicious. We now have had everything on the menu and go once a week at least. Try it all you will not regret. So glad it is here!

Moores chicken and BBQ is excellent. I went there as a food critic and walked away a fan. The atmosphere is clean, friendly service, accurate order, delicious fried chicken, quality bbq(not fatty), homemade Brunswick stew. The fried chicken was not greasy or dry, perfect breading, moist meat. The owners are very friendly and walked over to our table to ask if we were enjoying our meal!

This place is basically Smithfields, even down to the décor. The BBQ is okay. The slaw is too sweet. The Brunswick Stew is too sweet. The baked beans are too sweet. The fried chicken is surprisingly good. It’s a fine place to grab lunch. I wouldn’t take anyone there to show them the Eastern NCBBQ experience though.

Place was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. First time for us here. Theres a drive through which cool. Inside there is a place to wash hands right in the dinning area which iv never seen before. They sell pepsi products. I got chicken tenders at 7 $ and my bf got the pulled pork sandwich value meal for 6 $. I was worried because it was 3 tenders for 7 $ but it was like eating a half a chicken. Soo full lol They have Good food for sure. Service was fast. Bathrooms are very clean, however kinda small only 2 stalls and there was a short wait from being so busy. Id recommend this place to anyone that likes chicken and bbq! They have a different way of doing service here. You order pay receive a receipt and a number. Find a seat and they serve you the food you ordered at the table. When your done u leave the mess and they come and pick it up i believe. I couldn’t find a trash can to dispose of my trash when done. So I’m assuming thats what you do? Either way love this place and I think they are owned by the Moores restaurant in new bern? Love the drive through!!!

The Brunswick stew is the best I’ve had in eastern Carolina. I was told by others in our group the fried chicken was excellent as well. I had the bbq plate with slaw and Brunswick stew. The bbq was a little bland for my taste, but overall I would recommend giving this place a try. They also have seafood and brisket.

Excellent food. BBQ pork was outstanding. My husband thought the fried chicken and the mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent and set the standard by which he will compare all other places. The coleslaw and hushpuppies were very tasty, too. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

I went through the drive thru and got BBQ, slaw and Brunswick stew. I liked the way the BBQ was chopped and had a good eastern NC flavor and not dried out. The slaw was a little dry but tasted good. The Brunswick stew needs more seasoning but I prefer things like that to be more spicy so that’s my preference. The person taking the order was very pleasant and helpful with some of the questions I asked. I look forward to coming back to try out some of their other menu items.

We were a little nervous trying it so close to the grand opening. The place was great! Fried chicken was perfect and the Brunswick stew was awesome. Staff was on point and very helpful. I like how they bring the food to you and keep your drinks refilled. We will be back. Prices are very reasonable and have a good children’s menu. Looking forward to trying their seafood.
