Since this place opened, this has remained a favorite for my husband and me. We celebrate special events and occasions here. but we also find ourselves regularly dining here for a casual date night. I have never had anything here that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. I think the prices are reasonable given the quality, taste, and presentation of their food. I love all the reliable«staples» and the seasonal changes. I love that I can eat here in t-shirt and shorts or a dress. Ditto for fellow patrons. Everyone now and then there’s a seemingly pretentious or aloof server, but no one has ever been rude or dropped the ball when it comes to being courteous and professional. And it has never negatively impacted my experience. Love The Ravenous Pig for life!

Thanks Unilocal for another incredible find# Visiting from out of state we were looking to find a local spot with great food and cocktails amidst an endless sea of commercial restaurants. We found it! The Ravenous Pig has two sides — one that feels a little stiff… the other true to the gastropub feel. We stayed on the latter. Staff was friendly and service was great. Cocktails were tasty but not as strong as they should have been(imo). I spent a small fortune trying to catch a buzz. Food was great. The olé man had their massive pork chop which was masterfully prepared. I had a light, summery take on Walleye that was good. Kids had a burger and shrimp and grits. One of our appetizers were the oysters that weren’t particularly my cup of tea but… everything else was good!

While in town for an extended business trip, I thought I’d give this place a try. I arrived during early dinner hours, so it wasn’t crowded yet, though the bar was getting there. I found an empty corner of the bar and was attended by a very helpful gentleman. After offering some guidance with the drink menu, I was presented with a bowl of deliciously sweet and smokey popcorn! I finally ordered the street food board and a basket of hot biscuits with Vermont butter. Every bite was delightful. Those were the best biscuits I have ever had(and I was born and raised in NC)! The street food was well plated on a long plank. I would say that as an appetizer it is not enough to share(maybe I’m selfish), but as a meal on its own, I found it satisfying. For the most part, I was left alone to enjoy my drink and meal while enjoying the ambiance of the bar area. The bartender was knowledgeable and patient with me as I a inquired about the drink options. As a whole, I found this to be a pleasant experience that I would try again when in town.

OMG. This place. My husband and I were in Orlando for only three days and we ate at this place two times while were there. I was so excited when I realized this place was around the corner from our conference because I had been there previously and I knew it was amazing. We had different dishes each day. All were amazing. We had a mix up with one of our dishes the second day and the server sent us with a dessert to go, which was very much appreciated. Love this place and will definitely be back next time I’m in Orlando.

TRP is fabulous; we have eaten here several times and it’s always on our to visit list when we are in the area. Cocktails are fabulous, the wine list is great and the food is to die for… You need to book well in advance though as it’s very popular! Definitely on the recommend list…

I’m torn between a three or four star review. I thought this place was good, but nothing really made it stand out in my mind. The menu seemed pretty plain when I went, compared to all of the«exotic» photos I see here. It just consisted of pork belly, a few fish selections, burgers, and tacos. I sat at the bar and ordered shrimp and grits with a cocktail. They gave me some complimentary popcorn as I sat down(sweet and spicy, delicious!), which was a very nice start to the visit. The cocktail was strong, just the way I like it. The shrimp and grits came out quickly after I ordered it. It was cooked perfectly, and a good example of how well simple works sometimes. The service was excellent, which bumps this review up to four stars. Great service all around and very friendly bartenders.

When I go to Orlando, and ease towards Winter Park, this is my all-time favorite restaurant… or shall I say eating experience! The atmosphere and décor is neat w/an almost industrial city-feel. I like how its fancy w/out the stuffy white table cloth service. Servers know their business on both wet and dry sides of the menu so feel free to ask questions or advice on whats been selling heavily throughout the day. Speaking of, be prepared for the possibility of some hot item selling out during later hours of the evening. This Gastro/Farm to Table has a natural, authentic, and short-term menu that changes daily. That’s what makes it so unique. Mandatory: Manhattan w/Candied Cherries(from a farm in Italy, seriously) made w/Michter’s Or a Bacon-Infused Sidecar(yes, they can add a slice of bacon!!), Muffins w/special butter, and Truffle Fries w/a Burger Unilocal…can we get a 6-star rating system:)

Come for the food, stay for the head. PIGSHEADTACOSTHATIS!!! Other than that was a huge fan of the biscuits and the crudo. The meal ended with quite the tale. PIGTAILDONUTSTHATIS. 4⁄5 to the Ravenous pig. 5⁄5 this review.

An amazing dinner experience. Started with both the Cheese and Charcuterie boards, both fantastic and filling. Tried the Smoked Octopus, biggest pieces of octopus I’ve ever seen. Served with Leek Ash that provided additional smokiness. Also tried the Bavarian Pretzel. I’m a pretzel guy, meh skip it, they have better options. Dessert was the«Sweets Board» with a Girl Scouts cookie theme. Chocolate peanut butter truffles, Thin Mint mini ice cream sandwiches, and a Samoa style donut. One of the most unique desserts I have ever experienced. Our server was friendly and extremely knowledgeable in helping guide us through their menu offerings.

Had a wonderful time eating at this place for a small business dinner. I had been before with my wife on a date night and we loved the smaller intimate atmosphere. Enjoyed almost all of their appetizers, the shrimp and grits were perfectly buttery and the charcuterie had a great selection. Not the place to go if you are planning on eating light though, most of the dishes are pretty heavy. The hit of the night was the porchetta, perfectly crisp on the outside and deliciously fatty on the inside. The ravenous pig old fashioned was a smooth twist on an old recipe. Dessert ended with a delicious peanut butter panna cotta that beat out both the trio of artesian ice creams and the flourless cake. Those items were just a bit smaller than expected. The prices could easily climb to triple digits so be careful, but the food is superb and the portions outside of dessert were large. The staff was friendly and met all of our needs well, including good recommendations for food and wine. When you go just be prepared to loosen your belt and your wallet a bit!

Simply one of THE best dining options in Central Florida, and continues to be so after several years. I went here for the first time 4 years ago or so after hearing great things. I had an amazing dinner, but since it’s out of my price range, I hadn’t really gone back. Lately, however, I’ve had some business meetings with a friend whose company pays for the lunches, and being that this is close to both of our offices, we go here fairly regularly now. Each time I’ve gone for lunch recent, I’ve gotten the Pub Burger because it’s so good! DOYOURSELF A FAVORANDORDERTHISBURGER! It comes with bleu cheese that is to die for. It’s simply the best burger in town. hands down. And I’m a picky person when it comes to burgers. Also, the truffle fries are so good you’d kick a kitten to get your hands on them! The service every time I have gone has been stellar. Very informative. Very knowledgeable. Very pleasant/funny. Let’s be real: the want tips. But these are professional servers. You only get hired at places like this if you know your you know what. One day I will have to break out of my comfort zone and try something else for lunch. I’ve literally just made myself so hungry! EEEK! NOTE: it’s pricey. So be prepared. but it is SO worth. PS — get the Old Fashioned. You won’t be disappointed. PSS — all of their desserts are insanely good.

My San Antonio buddy and fellow Unilocaler, Sunay P., recommended this restaurant. Our taste buds enjoy similar flavors. So I had high hopes. And let me tell ya… it «did not suck» as Sunay would say ;) Hubs and I wanted to try everything from each category. With our server’s help, we made our selections. The standouts for us were the charcuterie board, fried baby octopus, and chorizo stuffed squid. Each dish was beautifully composed, executed, & plated. Even the simple steak and fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The only dish that we didn’t like was the olive oil cake. It tasted like sweetened bread with crunchy bits. The presentation was also unappealing. Total fail for us. But one failed dish amongst so many other glorious dishes still makes The Ravenous Pig a restaurant we would confidently recommend to anyone. Please check it out if you are ever in the area. Make a reservation. Ask for Wendy = server extraordinaire. Go there ravenous ;p…& preferably with with friends as you will want to sample everything on the menu. The menu changes constantly. So go often. Bön appetit!

I was disappointed enough to give them 2 stars. The service was absolutely awful and the food didn’t live up to the price or hype. At least what we tried didn’t. It took 2.5 hours for this and I couldn’t wait to get out of here. I tried the gatherer salad. I ordered the small and he brought the large. They ended up crediting me the difference. It was very good but really overdressed. My wife’s salad was dry and she ended up asking(twice) for additional dressing. She said the farmers salad was underwhelming. A millennia later I got my too salty burger(great fries) and my friends got their ice cold tortellini that died in the window. They sent it back and it reappeared faster than they could have done anything with it colder and sadder than when it left. I’m not going to continue this review. There’s so much wrong with our evening. One last thing. Mix the house Old Fashioned so that all the vanilla whatever isn’t sitting on the bottom. Waste of my time and money.

I might go back and give this place a second try but I was not wowed the first time I came here. The biscuits that everyone says are to die for, were hard and not very flavorful. My entrée was good but nothing that I would ever want to eat again. And as you would guess for the Winter Park area, it’s a struggle to find parking.

Unfortunate that they couldn’t cook one of there signature pork dishes correctly. I sent it back once for being undercooked and then they sent the same cut up pork porterhouse back to my table burnt and still undercooked in the middle :-/ Also not a fan of the no substitutions policy. Some restaurants get too caught up in there own ideology and not catering to the customers wants! This was my first visit and found it hard to make a selection off their small and very focused menu. Service was great. My server did everything he needed to do to please me as well as the manager once it was apparent I wasn’t satisfied. But it comes down one thing: the kitchen! I’m there for their food. I came on a Tuesday night when it was dead. I’m hoping to give them another chance especially because I live in winter park and frequent the area often. Maybe it was the weekday blues…

I definitely lived up to the restaurant’s name when I dined here a few weeks ago. Well, maybe I could be called The Ravenous Piglet. Can I be a piglet? Super decadent meat-foward menu without being old school like a steak joint and potent cocktails make this restaurant a fun place to visit and treat yourself to a great meal. Oddly, while I am raving about the meat, the mussels and fries were the stand out dish. Served in a covetable Staub pot, these guys were perfectly plump and the broth was perfect, with the right amount of spice added by the nduja. The crispy frites were the epitome of what a fry should be-salted just so, and with the right snap. The porcini tagliatelle with three(3!) different kinds of mushrooms and crisped pork belly was hearty and comforting, and the few bites I had of my friend’s steak were beyond flavorful. They have an interesting cocktail program, and I appreciated seeing combinations I hadn’t seen before, like mezcal, aperol, and guava with a dab of black salt, and a perfectly pink elderflower, genever, Prosecco concoction named after the lovely Jackie O. I’d say I was noble and skipped dessert, but we actually had ice cream elsewhere, so perhaps I truly did live up to the porcine name. I’m sure our sweet teeth would have been in good hands with the capable chefs at RP.

My friend had been talking about this places forever and since we were on vacation together in the area, we decided on checking it out. Self parking is very limited in the area so we settled on the valet parking which is in the back. We made it there in time for our 7:30 reservation and were seated at one of the booths next to the bar. We looked over the menu. I was not going to have a drank but my friend insisted, so much that she ordered for me. She ordered a Jackie O: boomsma genever, cocchi rosa, jack rudy elderflower, lemon, Prosecco. It looks so pretty and tastes like something Jackie would drink. My drink was the Ravenous Pig Old Fashioned: bacon infused old forester bourbon, vanilla maple, bitters. I’m not a huge bourbon fan unless it’s mixed with something else and this was straight up strong bourbon. I felt bad about sending it back but our waiter was cool about it and said it wasn’t a problem. I ordered a King St. Buck which had lime and ginger beer in it along with some other stuff I don’t remember. Now that drink I like. We tried to eat light but failed gracefully. We shared a Cheese Board with Robiolo, Thomasville Tomme, and Ricotta Salata along with onion marmalade, figs, arugula purée, and bacon jam. The thomasville with bacon jam was amazing as was the ricotta salata with the arugula purée. The bread served with these was a little too burnt and masked the flavor of the cheeses so I started eating the cheese by itself. For entrees, she ordered the Porcini Tagliatelle and I ordered the Beet Ravioli. My ravioli had goat cheese, baby carrots, frog song radish(what, what?), golden beet, lamb pancetta, tarragon emulsion. I was expecting the ravioli to have beets or beet purée inside the ravioli but they were actually in the past dough. No matter, the dish was wonderful. Her tagliatelle which had lobster mushrooms, hen of the woods(a mushroom), chanterelle(more mushrooms), braised pork belly, chestnut, parmesan was very good and interesting since I love mushrooms. No room for dessert we were full and happy. I’m not sure if we would return as it was kinda pricey but it is a good experience for all to try.

Finally made it out to Ravenous Pig! I moved here a couple of years ago and ever since people have been telling me this needs to be at the top of my list. Man were they right! Just a couple of friends came here for a small birthday dinner for my roommate and it was the perfect place for that event. The atmosphere was great, our service was top notch(seriously so helpful and friendly)!, and the food lived up to every bit of the hype. Get here for a really unique menu and deliciousness for every course. The bacon bourbon old fashioned(which were superb) and the hot biscuits started the meal off perfectly. Octopus, veal, cobia, porterhouse… it was all just amazing!

The Ravenous Pig is a Winter Park staple. I often don’t think of going here for dinner because it’s very busy and often requires a reservation, but we came by for lunch on a workday and were sat without a wait and treated to a REALLY delicious meal. Service at the Pig is always outstanding. The staff knows the menu, makes great recommendations, and pays attention to the needs of the table. We ordered the shrimp tacos as an appetizer and they were outstanding. I ordered the salmon BLT and truffle fries. My food was delicious and I would come back to order the same thing. No visit to The Ravenous Pig is complete without truffle fries. They are the best in Orlando. I do understand the no substitutions rule, but it does limit the people that can visit. Anyone with specific food allergies to aversions will not be able to take anything out of their meal, so keep this in mind when stopping by.
