After being injured at work in November of 2011, I received a slew of ads from firms wishing to represent me. I chose Mr. Bond from the stack and everything started well. A gentleman named John came to my residence, took my statement, and assured me I was in good hands. Then, in January, my employer misread a letter from one of the physicians and discontinued my WC payments. I pointed this out to Mr. Bond at a deposition with my employers’ representatives in March and he agreed, saying it would be taken care of. Soon after, I was offered a severance package from my employer because they were closing the office I had worked in. This was also brought to Mr. Bonds’ attention, for I feared accepting it might jeopardize my claim. He reviewed it and said I should be fine. When my settlement mediation date came in April, I still had not been paid since January, but had faith in my representation. Now obviously I will not include actual $ amounts in this review, but imagine my surprise when my case was settled, with Mr. Bond getting his percentage, but my lost wages since January and severance being lost in the shuffle. I was left «in the hole» monetarily, not to mention still suffering from the issues caused by the work injury, with no other recourse available except this review which, hopefully, will help someone else make a better decision than I did. Had Mr. Bond brought up the misinterpretation of the physicians’ notes, or secured in writing an agreement concerning my severance, my review would be more positive.
