I love this place! I go to Nerdy Karaōke every Friday night and it’s awesome! Great people and a great time to be had! Great food, too! Try their pizza grilled cheese sandwich! Yum! This is my second home on Friday nights!

This is is truly a great hangout… even if you don’t identify yourself as a geek, it’s truly a fun environment, good food, friendly and welcoming people. Went of Karaōke Friday and was amazed that everybody was so chill and supportive to even us horrible signers. Will come again.

Super cute idea — the bar is behind the comic store called ‘A Comic Shop’. We went for karaōke night — they have online sign ups which was pretty easy to figure out, but we never got on the board even after THREE hours… I think the system allows for people to sign up at home before they get there and the regulars take up all the slots :(. Also, they only show the next five songs so you never know when you will get up there. Décor is adorable — I can totally see someone having one too many drinks and punching a light to see if a mushroom pops out. Drink prices were decent and the bartender was nice. The biggest downfall is the restroom issue. There is ONE toilet in the establishment. Which works for a comic shop during the day, but when you introduce beer into the equation, it gets difficult. There was a huge line all night which I wouldn’t have minded waiting in because the patrons were super nice and you could look at the comics while waiting, but after two beers, my tiny bladder needs some relief and no amount of conversation can help that.

I’m in geek heaven! Why isn’t there this kind of goodness where I’m from in the bay area? Comic book store out front and bar with a stage for karaōke in the back?! It’s like Comicon, Cheers, and your favorite karaōke bar(or living room) had an orgy and The Geek Easy was their love child. Forget the six dollar butter beer in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios, the butter beer here is a cool 3 bucks!

Stopped by for a couple of drinks, place is fun and not overpriced, loved the arcade machines they had there and karaōke was fun too. The fact that the comic book store was still open made the whole experience even better. Their drinks specials and funny names to them were definitely a plus.

I’ve been wanting to check out The Geek Easy and I finally got the chance. It’s a speak easy kind of place hence the name. You walk through the small comic book store to a room in the back. This room is at least 3 times larger than the actual shop itself. The bar is decorated with all different characters. There are multiple tvs, this night they had Seinfeld on. I’m a huge fan, best sitcom ever! Walking in, my friend and I felt like Bernadette and Penny from Big Bang Theory, a little awkward since we don’t know a thing about the comic book industry. BEER — surprisingly they have a nice selection of craft beer. I was very impressed. I had the AC/DC lager which I had never heard of. I’ll definitely be back; next time on a Friday night for nerdy karaōke. Plus, I want to try their tator tots which are Tetris shaped.

I have loved almost every experience at the Geek Easy. The staff is friendly, patient and helpful. The grilled toast style sandwiches and burgers aren’t that great, but you don’t come here to eat anyways. Their beer list has a lot if great variety too. It makes me happy when I can just get a Gansett like at home as well. I’d give the place 5 stars if the acoustics weren’t abysmal. Even just the sound of the tvs bounces all over. They need to hang some things from the ceiling and walls and I’m sure the problem would at least be a little better.

I attended my first Nerd Nite(it was ladies night), and it’s fun, because like a «speak easy», it’s at the back of another business, sort of hidden. There was a pretty big selection of beer and everyone was really nice. It is NOT a fancy, trendy place. Very much a hole in the wall — but for the event, it worked. The sound system wasn’t great, though — it was a little hard to hear the speakers.

Went here for the first time and loved it! Their drink menu is awesome, so much variety. They have tons of different beers and specialty drinks. The food is not good at all, but I really just came here for the drinks so it wasn’t a big deal. I like that they were playing movies there too. I’ll definitely be back.

I love the idea of this place. A speak easy style bar aimed at geeks in the back of a comic book store. You can go have a few drinks while explaining to your friend why Marvel Comics is better than DC Comics(That’s a fact, not an opinion). This place is kind of like the TARDIS on Doctor Who. A Comic Shop is a pretty small, hole in the wall store in the middle of a plaza, so you’d wonder how they’d fit a bar in the back. As the Doctor would say, it’s bigger on the inside. There’s a lot of space in here that can sit at least 100 people comfortably. There’s also a stage which is used for Nerd Nites, karaōke nights, and trivia nights. The place is decked out with comic book posters and they have a few old school arcade games in the back. I’m not a drinker, so I can’t tell you the quality of their drinks, but judging from the chalkboard near the bar, they have a pretty decent selection. This is a cool place for events or to just hang out. I had to take one star off because of the food. It’s…not good. The burgers taste like the ones you’d get in the cafeteria in middle school. But they’re only $ 4, so I can’t really complain too much about them. At least the tater tots are shaped like Tetris pieces. But anyway, thumbs up for The Geek Easy.

I checked this place out on a Friday night, and was ecstatic to find out it was karaōke night! For the longest time, I have been trying to find a fun bar to chill at that I didn’t have to worry about being hit on by an asshole, and this was the place I’ve been searching for. Too bad I live 2 hours away. When I first walked in, I wasn’t too sure what I was walking into. During the day, this is a typical comic book store, but at night, the back wall opens into a chill bar with an old style arcade. I’m not into all these comics and cartoon/animé stuff, but after a while, you realize that everyone here is just here to have fun and do karaōke. And to top it off, they sell Surge! Come on! If that doesn’t sell any 80’s and early 90’s kid, I don’t know what will.

Super neat bar. I love original concepts! They are old school video games here, the bar is comic/video themed. The line can be long to get drinks which is good because you can start the most interesting conversations with the people there. There are a ton of different events that happen here such as speed dating. I tried their speed dating, it is disorganized but fun. They kinda just say go and wait for you to fall in love. Mad awkward, but they do it with humor.

This is one my favorite spots to hang out at. Nerdy Karoke on Fridays, cheesy movie screenings, and Open Mic nites are some regular events. While the burgers are average quality, the drink selections and desserts like grilled s’mores sandwiches are worthwhile. Theme events like Invader Zim comic reveals usually inspire themed drink specials for the night. The prices are pretty cheap. My staple order is a can of YooHoo and grilled s’more sandwich for $ 5. The casual setting, gamer décor, and friendly staff seem to make the Geek Easy an appealing place for alternative crowds, hipsters, date nights, and some older folks. Overall, it’s a fun, versatile place. There’s always something going on.

Loved this place! You’ll find it in the back of the comic shop so don’t get fooled on the location. I went for Nerd Nite Orlando. The prices of the drinks were very reasonable. They have a good craft beer selection which is always important for me. Being that this is mainly a bar, the food isn’t great. They had no veggies for the burger and it ended up being a frozen patty they grilled. Aside from the food, the place was a lot of fun and I’d defintely go back.

This is a fine establishment if I do say so myself. I tip my fedora to you, m’lady. These other reviews do a really good job of explaining the breadth of this place. It’s friendly to a fault, which usually isn’t my expectation when games and comics are the subject. I have about 60% nerd cred, having played D&D almost ten times. Still, I get a little hesitant, which was completely unnecessary. The proprietors are at least 5 times friendlier than myself. So then, there are usually some interesting(and cheap) beers on tap, and always something going on. I’ve seen comedy, concerts, heard of karaōke, lectures, game night, and even nights when folk just sit around the bar.

A bar in a comic book shop, how cool is that? I went for the Game of Thrones party they had and it was fun. Everyone from the staff to the people attending were very friendly. The place itself is not that big, all the tables were full which was expected because of the event. However they did allow us to bring in our own chairs. They have a bar with a huge selection of beers and ciders. They also have burgers, fries, and other food items. Another thing that i did notice is that they have the old school arcade machine which I thought was awesome. People around me were playing games at their table. I will have to come back for the Nerd Nite event that they host. Overall, I had a good experience and a good time.

It was karaōke night and my first time at GeekEasy. It’s a cute name because where I live, there was a Speakeasy and GeekEasy is creative. It has a New York style to it and I’ll explain how. The bar and lounge is behind a comic book shop. A lot of bars/lounges/restaurants that I circulated to in NY had good type of establishment. I saw two Doctor Who Comic editions! I pretty much fucking this place. I don’t know how well their business is but it seems they attract a good crowd. The frequent regulars are friendly and laid back. I really, really felt comfortable here. No one gave me stink eyes/confused looks while I geeked out about geek stuff. It’s normal to be a dork here. It was amazing. Didn’t have the food so I can’t rate that however, the bartenders are friendly and the drinks are good. There’s dark beer, cider, yuengling, Game of Thrones. The décor at the bar is adorable: Super Mario’ question block as ambiance lights and comic book counter. Who’s the genius that thought of this! Tips: You must present proper ID at the bar. You cannot leave the establishment with your purchased alcohol. Smoking allowed only outside. This establishment is a part of FCBD2015!

My first visit to The Geek Easy coincided with their famed trivia night! Talk about a way to truly savor and enjoy a maiden voyage into uncharted territory. The menu is chock full of childhood comfort foods, but the chalk board boasts a diverse bottled beer selection. Those with a keen eye for comics and video games will be able to truly appreciate the subtle nods within the décor. My personal favorite are the pendant lamps over the bar from Super Mario Bros and the comic book collage customized bar! If nothing else, get the Grilled S’more Sandwich. You’re welcome.

NERDGASM! This Geek Speak Easy is cleverly tucked away in the back of A Comic Book Shop, with no outside signage, making it a little hard to find unless you know its there. My brother and I had just assumed it was closed and something else, but he’s a comic book junkie so we weren’t going to NOT go in, and glad we did. The space is open, well lit, clean and a comfortable mix of Nerd Chic and 80’s Camp. I’m not personally a big comic book/sci-fi person, but the space was not off-putting at all. It was just enough for the casual nerd to appreciate but not so dorky I was afraid of being caught in some creepy comic role-play by people who think they live in the fantasy worlds of pulp fiction. Prices are extremely reasonable for beer and food. No liquor here, but it’s ok. Stopping in for one of their rather impressive craft beer offerings and one of their $ 3 sandwiches makes for a great nertacular meal. The food is unpretentious, comfort, drunk/gaming food. Their menu logic is infallible… I mean what is better than grilled cheese and macaroni and cheese other than a grilled macaroni and cheese sandwich! Don’t go in expecting gourmet and intricate flavors, just good comfort. The place is missing a star because of the total lack of signage(at least something in the window would have been nice). Totally going back for trivia night!
