Visited for dinner after some Spring skiing. Beer was good — that’s about it. Our server took 15 minutes to take a drink order even though her section was quiet. Knocked a drink off of another table. Insulted another guest… she was a mess. Burgers had under-cooked bacon and were wildly salty. The kale salad was literally just a pile of kale. We would have sent it all back but based on what we saw there was no way it was going to be fixed, so we just wanted to leave. Another table had cold mussels and sent back the fish and chips.

We had the pretzels and the Brussel sprout appetizer which were pretty good. The service started out ok but Emily the server had a real attitude. When the rest of our party arrived Emily pretty much ignored them. They had to go to the bar to get their own drinks. I spoke to the manager but he didn’t seem very interested. We come to WP every year and this is the only bad experience we have had at any of the local establishments. We may try again but not if Emily is still there.

We come here every year to snowboard and love the mussels with bacon. We came earlier in the week and had a great waiter. Unfortunately our second time around it wasn’t as pleasant. Our waiter failed to give us bacon in our mussel entrée and the Mac and cheese with bacon was below average. We asked for a side of bread and she gave a cold out of the fridge slab. What made the experience below average was the service. Emily seemed uninterested in being there And took forever to bring the entrees over.

Really awesome fish and chips! This place is very crowded after skiing but the food is fun and the atmosphere is great for people watching. I got to sit in a throne while eating! Nice wait staff and good food. Typical pub fodder.

Love this place! Midweek is a great time to go. On the weekends it can get pretty crowded after skiing. Check out their happy hour beer list. If you like Belgian-style beer, they have some pretty good choices at very reasonable prices.

A Belgium beer café with zero Belgium beers on tap. Enough said, but the food is not great neither.

The beer was great on tap, and my husband loved the Belgium bottled beer. Our daughter ate the chicken strips, we tried a bite and they were moist, the fries were hot, salty, crips and yummy. My husband and I shared the fish and chips. Big portion with Two big cod, really nice flaky fish. We also ordered a salad, shared it with the fish on top. Huge potions, so share. Wish we would have asked for no fries with the cod as we didn’t eat them. You pay for them, but just too much food. Very good service, nice, clean, warm, I would go back.

My family and I visited the Cheeky Monk for happy hour last night and were very disappointed. Not only were we treated like 2nd class patrons for having the audacity to show up to their half empty restaurant for HH, but when we begged them to attend to our table after being ignored for 10 mins, the waitress was very short and irritable. The food served was overpriced and the«fondue» is essentially Alfredo sauce served with stale bread. The hostess, however, was lovely — Keep it up!

If they say kitchen may close at anytime they mean it. Beat feet to gèt there and they closed kitchen 10 minutes after we talked. At about 8:15

Looks like a great place to drink/eat after skiing… don’t bother if it’s after 8 pm. Kitchen closes at their discretion. Even if you call ahead to ask– went to Randi’s instead-try the shepherds pie

It’s dinner if they’re open? They close when they feel like it!!! You’d better call first…

I’ve been to the Cheeky Monk in Westminster a handful of occasions and always enjoyed it. The Winter Park location just wasn’t as good. We were there on a weeknight early August and the place wasn’t busy… there were 3 other tables in addition to ours. Service was slow… we were sitting near the(empty) bar, so the waitstaff and bartender spent lots of time chatting with one another. Which is fine except when they are ignoring customers. The bartender, who had to be bored, spent his time noshing on olives and cherries from whatever that thing is called where they keep olives and cherries. Great beer selection, which warrants 3 stars, but the food was meh, and the service crappy. We spend a fair bit of time in the area, but really see no reason to return to this location.

Great lunch spot on a summer afternoon of fun at the ski resort. Was expecting average tourist food, but we were pleasantly surprised with the great burgers and fries and nice selection on the kids’ menu. My husband was impressed with the beer selection, and we both thought the ambiance was great. Service was friendly, though good did take a while to arrive. We are hoping to return for dessert some evening.

For some reason I’ve never been to the location in Denver so I’m stoked I finally got to go… just in Winter Park! I’m still fawning over the sandwich I had because it was some of the best bar food I’ve had in my life. And I’ve been in a lot of bars and had a lot food. Seriously, the Reuben was magnificent, beautiful, savory all wrapped into one. It’s a huge portion and after downing an IPA and some fries(frites, I’m not French so whatever, they are fries), I swore I was only going to have half the sandwich and take the rest to go. But that didn’t happen and I was in hog heaven. Crowded early on a Saturday afternoon, loud and great beer selection. I’m not sure if this is the first location or if the Denver one is but I felt like I was in Denver thanks to our hipsterlicious server.

I would give this place a better review as I have enjoyed a few meals there. But, we called them to get lunch to go and they rudely said they were too busy to do a to go order. I have probably gone there 10 –15 times this season and they pretty much hung up on me. I am over being treated poorly. They also used to have twisty ties that they gave the kids to play with. They no longer do. The kids really liked this and that is too bad. This place needs some management work.

This review is just for the beer and apps. I went back to the Cheeky Monk après ski two days in a row. My wife and I sat at the bar both times. One day we had the bruschetta, a nice tomato/basil topping on 5 pieces of toasted baguette. The next day we had a couple of pretzels with stone ground mustard. Both were ample but simple accompaniments to a number of nice Belgian beers. I’m now a huge fan of De Koninck’s amber. It has that nice, Belgian yeast flavor(I’m a homebrewer!) but at only 5% alcohol, it’s much easier to drink a few compared to typical big Belgians like tripels, quads and goldens. The staff was super friendly and did a great job of pouring the beers. They know to put a nice head to bring out the aromas of the beer. This place is a great bar for hanging out after a day on Parsenns and Mary Jane.

Unilocalers seem to have underrated this place. First of all, excellent selection of Belgian Beers which is what they are all about. Bottled and Draft. You have to be a fan of Belgian Beer though. Food is hearty pub food, which you need to match the strong beer. Definitely the food compares well to food in Belgium itself. Service was good, but it took a very long time to get our food. Granted it was Friday night. Come here for a good burger, Belgium fries, and mussels. Wash it down with a fine beer.

After an hour on the tubing hill with a 3 year old, one just wants to warm up and drink something with a little kick. This place delivered on my needs! the beer was good, the fried fish was some of the best I have ever had an the server was so patient with my 3 year old nephew and his mother, who can equally act like a 3 year old sometimes. Kudos Cheeky Monk!

Having visited Winter Park for a couple day vacation during the summer time, this restaurant was our go to stop for our food. We did visit other restaurants in the area, but this one happened to become our favorite local. It was great fun to try the different samplers that were offered and Happy Hour was a good time to try out some of the more expensive Belgium beers that are not on the samplers. Needless to say, my wife likes the Monte Carlo, and this place happens to have one of the best in her opinion. In all, I highly recommend this place. We had good wait service(usually had the same waiter when we were there), the food did not disappoint, I liked the beer(my wife is not really a beer drinker), and the décor was really cool. If I am ever back there, I wouldn’t hesitate to visit… unless it was packed out and I was really hungry. ;o) My three cents.
