Best wings around and even better than flyers wings. This joint has been around forever. My mom and her friend used to own it back in 80s, when it was wings and things. No frills excellent wings and fries are spiral cut by hand and just slightly undercooked for a potato taste. I like them cooked this way, you might not. Best wing combo for me is garlic and BBQ. The sweet tea is spot on and also have white vinegar for the fries. Too bad AMANDA isn’t there anymore, cause I enjoyed pestering her.

I’ve got mixed feeling about this place. It’s not appealing to the eyes in any stretch of the imagination. I got the standard wings and fries, and while the wings have excellent flavor the meat itself is overcooked and dry. The fries were drenched in oil and unseasoned. The potential is there definitely, they just need some more effort in the product.

Do not eat here! The staff was extremely rude! They didn’t explain the specials and refused to give us sauce when it was their screw up. They were not helpful at all and I repeat SORUDE!

I am torn about this place. The wings and fries are good, but the place itself is less than charming and the employees are hot and cold. I like«hole in the wall» places as much as the next guy, but that label doesn’t mean you can just abandon all care about the surroundings and service. I highly recommend grabbing your order to-go so that you don’t get bothered by the lackluster restaurant, and worry about the cleanliness(or lack thereof) of your surroundings. Out of sight, out of mind. In the end, will I continue to get wings from them? Yes.

First time here, only noticed it because a friend pointed it out on the way home from warrior dash. Wings were hot and so were the fries. That’s how you know they were right out the fryer. Plus it took about 15 minutes lol but it was quite busy. Wings are no the small ones you get from gators dockside so overall great deal. Only thing I didn’t like was they didn’t mix sauces. I usually like a mix between hot and sweet. So usually most wing places will mix a hot sauce and sweet BBQ sauce. Other wise nice wing spot to stop in.

Of course, I got wings and fries. You order at the window and pick your food up when they call your number. This place is really old and run down. Which I guess should have been my first sign. The walls are covered with DIRTY old flowered wallpaper and faded posters of tigers and cars. The fries were under cooked and not seasoned. The hot garlic wings were good but the mother-in-law wings weren’t that hot or flavorful. After I was done eating, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and was seriously disgusted. Yes, it was dirty and smelt weird, but when I turned on the sink there was almost NOWATER coming out, BARELY more than a drip. I kid you not, more water comes out of a drinking fountain than this sink. Which means the employees are not washing their hands properly. So after we left, I went online to look up their previous health inspections reports. 38 violations on 7÷7÷14 and 26 on 4÷29÷14. EW! And can you guess what one of the SEVERAL violations were? Hand washing and clean hygienic practices. Hoping I’m not going to end up with food poisoning or some sickness from teenagers that don’t wash their hands. Bottom line: STAYAWAY!

A true hole in the wall! Food is far above average. The wings are perfectly fried to the fine tuned balance of Crispy and Tender, the fries always curled off from fresh potatoes, and the subs are great as well. Fantastic family owned establishment! Support your local businesses like this joint!

The wings are really really good. It is very casual with nice service. We are picking up wings when the girls are in the mood for finger foods and we are in the neighborhood. The strip mall looks closed and dark, but is definite open. Try it if you are around

Wings of Winter Garden is a gem. Living in touristy Orlando, where mediocre chain restaurants abound, I pride myself when I find hole-in-the wall joints that are so good you have to become a ‘regular’. Make no mistake, that this is indeed a hole-in-the-wall restaurant; so reading the previous reviews about interior décor objections is a moot point. When you go to a hole in the wall– your money goes to the food, not the ambiance. That’s what you should expect at Wings of Winter Garden — amazing food. Make no mistake, this place is on my shortlist of restaurants I frequently visit in Orlando. There are few places that give you such delicious food at such low prices. If you’re first-timing, please do yourself a favor and order the Corn Nuggets. The fries here are made from fresh potatoes everyday– and never frozen. I almost always order the«Combo Basket» when I come. The basket gives you a sampling of wings, chicken tenders, and fries and for under $ 10 bucks is a ridiculous deal for the food you get. My favorite sauces to toss my tenders or wings in are as follows: 1.) Teriyaki(best I’ve ever had) 2.) Butter Garlic(for the chicken wing purist) 3.) Hot Honey Garlic(perfect combo of sweet and heat) 4.) Mother In Law(if you’re feeling adventurous) I actually need to stop the review now because my mouth is watering…

I’ll keep this review short: The service is appallingly bad. This hole in the wall is very difficult to find, and when calling for directions and to place a to-go order, one of the staff members was beyond rude, snapped answers out and had to repeat my order twice because she didn’t appear to be listening the first time. Upon picking up my order, she just handed my food to me without saying a word while I watched three kitchen staff sitting on counters. How unprofessional. It seems very much as though a family owns this business and all of their children and children’s friends work there. Food: The wings have the potential to be awesome. They were a bit overcooked and dry, but the sauces are great. The teriyaki is phenomenal, the house barbecue is tasty, and the hot honey garlic was pretty good. Their bleu cheese sauce was good as well. If the wings hadn’t been overdone, this place would get another star. I also gave the corn nuggets a try per all the other Unilocaler’s suggestions, and they were tasty. Atmosphere: This place desperately needs a deep cleaning, a refresh on décor, another deep cleaning, and to get rid of that very odd cell phone kiosk in the restaurant. I did encounter my shoes acquiring some sort of sticky substance upon entering and leaving, and for all the employees sitting on counters, you’d think the three tables that needed to be bussed would have been cleaned. Tip: Order to-go.

Over a year later and it’s still better than ever. Hot honey garlic wings, corn nuggets, fried mushrooms with housemade horseradish sauce(all their sauces are made in-house), fries, and a fairly new addition for a little something sweet: funnel cake stix. Do itttttttt

Good wings, call in your order ahead of time. Ask for them crispy and wet. Don’t let this old food strip location discourage you! They have consistently good wings, although a little small, for a good price. Hot and fresh each time, I keep coming back for more. We get the curly fries occasionally, each order is cut and made fresh. Eat in or take out, this is a hole in the wall wings place, don’t judge it as you would a five star restaurant. This place is great for what it is, they shouldn’t change a thing. Oh, and did I mention the cold draft beer? An added bonus when eating in.

Wings of Winter Garden has been serving the best wings in Central Florida for years! I have been going for over 9 years! The cashiers are not always in the best of moods, but don’t let them ruin an amazing meal. I love mixing flavors! My favorite is mother-in-law teriyaki — SOOOO good! And their curly fries are awesome! The weekends are super busy, so it’s best if you order ahead of time! Also, if you’re not in the mood for wings, their chicken tenders tossed in their sauces are greattt!

I’d like to give it more stars, but can’t based a couple issues: 1. Service — we went at lunch and it wasn’t particularly crowded, but there were quite a few customers. We waited at the register for about 5 minutes until someone took our order and the general attitude was that we had inconvenienced her from refilling drink orders; which brings me to — 2. Drink refills — the fountain drink station is behind the counter. The fountain drink station should be available for the customers to access. At one point there were about 10 people standing around waiting for drink refills when the cashier should have been attending to new orders. 3. Celery and dressing is extra??? Just kind of accepted custom to have a choice of dressing with your wings. On the positive, the wings were very good, but really not exceptional. On par with wings at other establishments. If you’re in the mood for wings and happen to be area it’s worth a visit, but I wouldn’t travel for it. With taco palenque right next door I’d go there 9 out of 10 times for quick inexpensive lunch service.

This is my first review on Unilocal but this place is Excellent with a capital E. I went on a crazy busy friday night. I knew this place would be awesome b/c: — It was packed. Very hard to get a table. — Very simple/plain décor. Whenever a place looks plain and there are a lot of people around, they are typically there for only one reason: the quality of the food. — The diversity of the clientele. I saw whites, blacks, hispanics, and asians. I saw Mercedes and Lexus in the parking lot, but also saw a few people who walked up/rode their bikes. They were all there simply b/c the food was excellent. Good wings can bring together lots of people from different racial and socio economic backgrounds. — It was relatively quiet considering how many people were there. They were there not to talk but to eat. We had a large party so ordered the regular wings, the teriyaki, and the hot honey garlic. We also got curly fries, corn nuggets, and a few subs. The hot honey garlic was heavenly. After eating the whole thing, I instinctively dipped my fries/nuggets/sub into the hot honey garlic sauce. The next time I go, I’m going to ask for some extra sauce and put it all over the rest of my food.

I went here based on some Unilocal reviews, inspired to find a great new wing place. What I found was a decent wing place, with some potential. My wife and I went here on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was mostly empty. We ordered the hot garlic(our favorite) wings, with an order of fries. The wings were cooked well, nice and crispy, but the garlic was essentially just garlic powder that the wings were tossed in. The overall flavor was good, but it just seemed that the wings were missing something. As for the fries, I echo other reviewers here who have mentioned that they were under cooked, and dripping in oil. Seeing as how they are fresh cut, it seems a travesty to ruin them with poor execution. I also knocked the place down a star due to overall cleanliness. With the lack of business at the time we were there(it was in between lunch and dinner), the employees could have spent some time cleaning up the dining room. Not many tables were clean, and the floor under our table had some nasty sticky stuff that seemed like it had been there for a while. Overall, I’d give it another try, but it is not somewhere you should go out of your way to get to.

Wings were very high quality chicken and cooked to order. I tried both hot honey garlic(due to recommendations here) and the Mother in Law(their«above hot» spicy level). Hot Honey Garlic were tasty; honey and garlic were both noticeable with neither being overpowering. The Mt In Law wasn’t as spicy as I expected. They tasted fine, and with a little ranch on them they were great. The place is decorated very oddly, with these bizarre ‘80s posters on the wall that have nothing to do with anything(I think one was a tiger). They have two pinball machines and a racing arcade game. The girl that took my order was rather grouchy and answered my questions in 2 – 3 word answers. She didn’t smile once and didn’t thank me for my order. Maybe she was a football fan and wanted to be at home watching football on Saturday, I don’t know. The fries have so much potential– fresh cut shoelace style. However, they were underfried and not drained well. I got my order to go, and by the time I drove back home about 15 minutes later, the wings were perfect but the fries were a soggy, soft, oily mess. I had to throw them in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees to get them warmed and crispy. Don’t bother ordering fries here; go for wings. Or, go for phones since it has a small boost mobile store inside the restaurant for some odd reason. Also, either someone that worked there or someone friends with someone that worked there was eating in a party of 5 or 6 friends in the dining room; he kept walking in and out of the kitchen from the dining room helping himself to celery, dressing, and other things, which was pretty unprofessional. He wasn’t back there long enough to wash his hands before touching the food, so I’m not sure how sanitary things were back there with him chowing down one minute, then wandering back there to help himself and his friends to more food the next. Kind of disgusting, but I guess I’m not expecting a five star dining experience from a place with missing letters on the marquee that has a boost mobile inside of it. So, 4 stars since the place delivers on its mission of making tasty chicken wings, –1 star for shitty fries and nasty ass customer/employee helping himself to the kitchen while eating.
