Taqueria Jalisco

My wife purchased a
coupon thinking this was our regular favorite Mexican restaurant with a very similar name (we’re not Hispanic).
To start, the location was ok. It it is a quite strip with nothing really else in there but a paint company. The salsa was very cold and to me, had no flavor.
I ordered the sizzling fajita with chicken, steak and shrimp. Double everything. The portion size was good. The chicken was cooked good, there were maybe 5 shrimp and the steak was tough.
My wife ordered the burrito, she said it was good. The kids shared a quesadilla, which I tried and was good as well.
The noise level was ridiculous since there was only one other family in there but the music was way too loud. Couldn’t even speak to my wife sitting next to me.
I don’t see myself going back there to sit down and dine but I may carry out.

I was raised in a very traditional Mexican home … Home cooked Mexican meals all the time so I’m pretty picky when it comes to Mexican restaurants. I recently moved to central Florida and this place is by far the best authentic Mexican place I have found around here!

I’ve been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant since I moved to Orlando three years ago. Today, I finally found one. Everything is fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend the cheese enchiladas in red sauce.

I really want to give this place four stars just because I have written a lot of five star reviews lately, but I can’t bring myself to do it. I can’t actually come up with a negative reason to knock a star off.
This new eatery is located at Elboc Way and Colonial in Winter Garden. There is plenty of parking in the lot and it is plenty safe (during the day, probably stay away at night since this is next to La Princesas where they apparently murder their own security guards).
The food is awesome. Some of the best Mexican food I have had since I have been in Florida. When I say «I want Mexican food», I am talking about this kind of food. Honest, home-​style Mexican food. The lunch menu is incredible and the prices cannot be beat. They are generous with their fillings and the ingredients are all top drawer. This is a great place for a quick lunch in Winter Garden. The staff is great, they are friendly and they are very eager to win your repeat business. Help this new eatery out and give them a shot. You won’t regret it.
