Peaceful? Great view? Easy access? Free parking? Yes… and that is exactly why this is the opposite of the parks one would find in Miami.
This is a great place to just sit, relax and enjoy nature. Sure, you have houses not too far behind you, but it’s very easy to get lost in the great Lake Apopka view. The wooden boardwalk allows you to get a closer look at the water and it offers a great spot for photography; that’s something my gf definitely appreciates.
If you have visitors that are only used to the city life, then this is a great spot to have them unwind and appreciate quiet time.

If you need a place to stop and reflect, this is it. Just sit on the bench, look at the greenery, and the water. It’s really quite a nice view.
Along with the view, kids can play on the playground, and you can walk around as well. Not my first choice for walking – I actually ended up in the trailer park and neighborhood area, but a great spot to just sit and look if nothing else.

Apopka, FL
This park has gorgeous views of Lake Apopka. I never knew this place existed until I went to the nearby public pool. There is a boat ramp, grassy area and picnic tables with covered pavilions. It looks like a great park… too bad it is on toxic lake Apopka where you wouldn’t even want to dip your toe in the water. Maybe if they ever get the lake cleaned up this would be a great place to enjoy and afternoon.
