Lucky Straws Boba Tea of Winter Garden

What do you do when you’re craving some boba tea and don’t live on the East side? Well several months ago you’d have to either make the trip out to the East or simply ignore your craving; not anymore!
This location has been open for several months, yet for some reason up until this past weekend, I still hadn’t visited. I truly regret waiting so long to give this place a shot because our two drinks were very tasty. There were several people playing various board/​card games, but our wait was short (less than 5 minutes) since no one else was in line.
I opted for their Lychee while my gf ordered a Thai Iced Tea. Although I tend to order Lychee when ordering boba, I may choose an item from their «Creations» menu; it was filled with various flavor combinations that I just haven’t seen before and/​or combinations I’ve been meaning to try.
With the friendly service and relatively good value ($ 10 for two beverages), I definitely see myself returning on a somewhat regular basis.

As of 12÷4÷15 I am the Duchess of Lucky Straws and I’ve never been so pleased to receive that title. I have been coming here almost since it opened in Winter Garden in the Publix Plaza. I kept hearing from friends that there was a new boba place in the area but I couldn’t find it. Then I looked it up an realized that it was right down the street from me, seriously, walking distance (please don’t stalk me). It was a hard to find in the car because there’s no storefront sign on top of the building. Some people think of that as a bad thing, but I like to think of it like a secret room in Hogwarts or a boba speakeasy that only cool people get to go to, or just me.
Fortunately or unfortunately for me the shop has become extremely popular over the last few months. And it’s not just because there is an astounding amount of tea flavor combinations to choose from, but because unlike other boba shops, you feel like you should grab and stay instead of grab and go. There is always a movie or TV show playing on the TV with couches and chairs to sink into and enjoy yourself. Or if you’re more of a social butterfly when you drink your tea, you might enjoy the many game nights that they offer. I am not sure what the exact schedule is but they do all kinds of card games, board games, and Mario Kart night. I’ve also walked into a few Taco Tuesdays. Basically, if this place existed when I was in High School or College I wouldn’t be spending much time anywhere else after class. (Yes I’m a dork and you love me).
While they do not serve any food at the shop, they do allow you to bring your own because the owner is amazing. He treats everyone like an old friend and you feel like you have your own reserved seat at the Cheers bar but instead of beer, you’re waiting for the bartender to pour you a frozen royal milk tea with extra boba… That’s what you will get and you will like– no, love it. All of the other flavors are just as good but I’m hooked on the Royal. It’s the house specialty and I highly recommend it.
So if you happen to live in the WG area and are getting twitchy because you need your boba fix but don’t want to make the 30 min drive to the Mills50 area, please stop by Lucky Straws in the Publix plaza. It’s right next to Night Light Pediatrics. Duchess out! *mic drop*

I asked for little boba, almost ¹⁄₃ of my cup was filled with boba :/​. Nonetheless the Tarocado is AMAZING. The avocado was cold, so it made it a bit thicker. So good! I hope the avocado is cold again the next time I visit :)

I’ve been to this store twice and had green boba tea and the cocotella boba tea, delicious. Will be going back for more flavors. I take my teenage daughters who love boba tea. The store has no sign in the front which makes it a little hard to find but its next to the hair and Chinese store section. The guy working behind the counter is very nice too.

I always stop by a boba place on the way back home from a vacation in Orlando. Today we tried this place and I have to say their Thai tea milk tea is the bomb dot com. Atmosphere is great and the guy who made our tea was super nice. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re in west Orlando.

They are a cute little boba shop. (although they could use a sign! I drove around the shopping center for 10mins trying to find them) The atmosphere in the store was very chill and it seemed like a nice place to hang out. They had some board games and cards on one of the tables where we sat.
On to the boba tea! I got a thai tea slush with boba and it was delicious, prices weren’t too bad either, although it does cost 50 cents to add boba. My boyfriend got strawberry, which I didn’t like as much.
Overall, I had a fun time and loved my boba tea. The service was friendly and quick.
I will most likely be coming back. :)

I don’t live on the west side of town anymore but if I did, I could see myself frequenting Lucky Straws. I was greeted right away and my taro boba tea came out fairly quickly. It tasted great and there was a good amount of boba in it. I agree with one of the other reviews here: the space reminds me of a dormitory common area. There are one or two couches, a few TVs set up to play movies and games, and a handful of tables that patrons were playing board games at. Everyone was very friendly so even if it isn’t your scene, it’s still a pretty chill place. Also, the shop is hidden. There is no signage above the store, so it took me a while to spot it — I just knew it was in the Publix plaza. I hope Lucky Straws sticks around; West Orange needs more places like this.

Yaaaay I am so happy this place exists in WG! I love boba and this place does it amazingly. Not too soft, not too chewy, great tasting tea. And the owner was super nice (and has impressive hair). I will definitely return… Probably more often that I should.
In taking one star off for ambiance… It honestly comes off like a college common room, which I’m sure will be appealing for some, but stacks of cardboard boxes don’t come off as charming to me, just sloppy. And it desperately needs better signage. If you’re looking for it, it’s between Publix and I believe Hair Cuttery.

I love Boba but living on the west side of town, I didn’t often drive across town to Mills to get my fix.
This place is local and everything I hoped it would be. It is a small shop that just opened, but the owner and his girlfriend are super friendly. I don’t really like milk tea, so he recommended a sweet sensation slush for me. It was just right sweetness and loaded with delicious boba.
The next time I went back I tried the popping boba which was good as well.
However the second time I went back I was overwhelmed by the crowd. The drinks are great, but the atmosphere is awesome as well. The two huge couches with a flat screen tv and an Xbox were packed. The big crowd was due to them hosting a Super Smash Brawl tournament. Not really my cup of tea (get it?!?) but I saw they had the rock band instruments on the wall so I’ll be ready to crush out some songs next time I go.

Love the atmosphere its a nice place to come and do some work (which i have multiple times) or just hangout woth some friends. the owner is super nice and friendly. I have had about 6 to 7 different types of tea and every single that i have had where so good. if you never had boba and are near by stop by you will have some of the best boba tea here. If its you first time i recommend bobatella (nuetella flavored boba tea)

I LOVE LUCKY STRAWS!!! Ben the owner is super helpful truly makes sure you get what you want! I come here at least once a week I love it the environment is very calming and positive! A great place to get a bubble tea and relax
