Eat here often both dine in and take out. Never had any issues with service or food.

Dinner with my mom here tonight was delightful! Get the Valentine Roll. I’m picky with my sushi; I like fresh fish but I like it in a roll. I described this to my waiter, Zac, and he recommended the Valentine… It was the perfect recommendation! Ask for Zac to be your waiter when you get here. His service is what made my grade on this restaurant 5-Stars; he is attentive, helpful, friendly, and really knows the menu. Applause for Zac!

Slow service, took the server fifteen minutes to bring us water. Good sushi rolls though. Lots of sushi for the money.

Easily my family’s favorite place to have sushi. Everything is delightful and fresh and huge portions. Our kids love the tuna sashimi and my husband and I can devour the rainbow roll and the Valentine roll. Absolutely incredible sushi. I could eat until I pop. Lol. Tried the hibachi side a few times too, it’s exactly what you’d expect. Tons of food and an entertaining show to boot while they prepare your meal. Great stuff! Happy servers, unreal sushi.

Don’t go for the sushi. I have tried this place more than once and it was gross sushi. Room temps fish. I would rather eat Publix sushi and that doesn’t say much.

We tried again on the happy hour and won’t be back. There was a lot of rice, not great flavors and seems like options were more limited. It may be better for the full roll selection, but not the happy hour.

Pros: yummy! Good location. Great service. Good selection and execution. Cons: oddly small portions for the price. Very dark inside during the day, strange.

We were disappointed… We love Japanese food and we expected better. The service was good, our server was really nice and attentive. Food didn’t take long but it was not very good. We had shrimp tempura rolls that my son didn’t like(and he loooooves it in other places) and salmon rolls among other things. The appetizers and the sea bass we did enjoy but we couldn’t help leaving disappointed with our entrees.

Worst experience ever!!! Ordered some sushi and the lobster volcano. The lobster volcano came out burnt! And what’s even worse is the Manager Bo was the one who brought the dish to the table. How he didn’t see the burnt food or even smell that is was burnt is beyond belief! I obviously sent it back. The server suggested Krab Salad since I am eating limited carbs. Even though it is something that is pre-made, it seemed to take forever to prepare. After being there for almost an hour and only having a small soup and salad. I decided to call it quits. What’s even more insulting is that he manager didn’t even come to the table to apologize for the awful experience we obviously had. Just in case you are wondering, yes I left STILLHUNGRYAS I BARELYHADANYTHINGTOEATINTHEHOUR I WASTHERE!!! Will I be back? PROBABLYNOT!

I’m not a hibachi fan but I was here for a party so I partook. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The cook, not very entertaining — «stoic» would better describe him. My wife had shrimp and I the scallops both of which were cooked perfectly — usually they’re overdone and then chewy as heck. The rest was standard fare — fried rice, noodles and vegetables all too salty for my taste. What’s nice is the cook areas are half the size I’m used which makes for better conversation with friends. I did keep a copy of the paper sushi menu and will most likely return to try that. We were there on a Saturday evening so it was busy but not overflowing out the door. We had reservations which is probably recommended for hibachi.

Went for the first time recently and took my sister and brother in law who were visiting for the holidays. We are sushi snobs and we all loved it. The service was great as well as the food. The prices were reasonable and the wait staff very friendly. Would definitely return quite often!

This is my first Unilocal or any restaurant post. My wife and I went here and our food experience was sub par. My appetizers while good looking(was hard to eat the way it was presented). Their Tekke Don was very boring, not much flavor. My wife had chicken teriaky, the chicken was so over cooked she couldn’t eat it. The service was very good.

Very small sushi lunch special. 4 pieces nigiri, 4 pieces Cali roll, 2 Gyoza and an out of place portion of molded rice. Came with small miso and a small salad. Sushi was thin. Whitefish tasted off. Rice was flavored well. Water unfiltered.

The sushi was supermarket quality. Luckily, we were there during Happy Hour(4:00 — 6:00) and only paid $ 4 for some of our dishes. It’s not worth returning.

Great happy hour and portions. I’ve been here twice since its conveniently located in the winter garden village but after moving from the PNW I guess I’m a sushi snob… And it kind of sucks that they don’t explain on their menu where their fish comes from or if they have wild choices. AND their sushi never comes out feeling cold. Always lukewarm. And the past two times I’ve gone here either me or a friend have had to use the restroom immediately. Some of their sushi is tasty but I’m overall worried that maybe because their fish comes out tasting/feeling lukewarm that maybe that’s why we’re getting sick? I don’t think I’ll ever pay for their sushi full price if I go again, it will more than likely be happy hour and if I’m in a desperate craving for sushi. I do however think that they have had excellent service each time I’ve gone. The staff is unbelievably friendly

A very solid restaurant with very good food. I do think that Kobe’s is better but this place does hold it’s own and I do enjoy coming here. It is a typical Hibachi restaurant. You get the show while the meal is being cooked by a very friendly chef. The sushi is very good as well. I recommend coming here. Is it as good as Kobe’s? No, but it’s extremely close. You won’t be disappointed.

Love the atmosphere here. Everyone is friendly and the service is always good. I sat at the bar and bartender Sean was great ! Located in Winter Garden Village which is close to home for me. Happy hour sushi and wines is 4 – 6 daily and a great deal. You can sit in the restaurant or do hibachi to eat. Prices are a little high if your not doing the happy hour. They also have some outside tables to people watch.

I have been here a couple of times for both lunch and dinner … it is in a great location with all of the shops in Winter Garden Village. I have only ever had sushi, never the hibachi. I have switched up the rolls I have gotten each time I have gone. The most recent trip I had the Valentine’s Roll and the Rock and Roll. The rolls were a good size and tasted very fresh. We had a very nice and attentive waitress who checked on us and refilled drinks frequently. I will definitely come back!

The location here is quite convenient, nestled into the large Winter Garden Village, and the restaurant has some great theming and décor. Unfortunately, the food is overwhelmingly average. I will say up front that I am not a sushi guy, so that won’t be part of the review. From what I did order though, which included some teriyaki chicken and Korean short ribs, the food was a touch salty, and just okay. My wife ordered the noodle soup bowl, and the bowl came with a ridiculous amount of broth, and a small portion of noodles. Pricing is a bit on the high side for the portions served, but they do have combination plates that seem to help with price and portion. They have two sides to the restaurant, with a hibachi grill, and then the regular side of the restaurant. We will probably be back to try the hibachi grill, but I’m not expecting the greatest of things.

Carlos, our Hibachi chef, was the star of the show. If you go here, try and sit with him. He may not be japanese, but the man’s knife skills are fantastic, and he also told us he makes a lot of the sushi for the restaurant on the weekends. There were plenty of specials, much like Kobe, and they offer you a complimentary dessert if it’s your birthday(it was mine, they checked ID) and sing to you. As far as Hibachi goes, this is identical to Kobe, but for a slightly better price. The salad and soup starter was identical, but it felt like the meat was slightly higher quality. I loved the personalized attention that Carlos gave us at a crowded table, his tricks were fantastic, and the cleanliness of the facility, attentiveness of the waitstaff and the décor were really enjoyable. A few people at the table grabbed appetizers of sushi and raw fish — which were beautifully presented and looked phenomenal.
