Delicious food, but slow service without much explanation kinda sums up our visit to this eatery. We grabbed a couple of seats at the bar area on a busy weekend. We looked over the menu and the specials and waited for a server. There were probably six staff members and all of them ignored us sitting there. Finally the hubs asked how to order and they pointed us to a hard to see tablet area. Signage would be helpful here for first timers. He waited in line to order while i held the seats and it was a slow process. Everything is made fresh to order but it was an agonizingly long wait for the food. We noted several other customers asking about their orders as well. Perhaps an off day? I had the pesto burger on the special menu and it was seriously delicious. Cooked perfect and the round were just right. Staff didn’t check on us after food came out. Another downer. Overall: B– Excellent food but service was non existent. Felt like this should be a pick up window food place not a bar sit down eatery.

Delicious!!! We ordered the 5 alarm burger with potato salad and the pull pork sandwich with the fresh cut fries. Both sandwiches were outstanding and put a little malt vinegar on those fries … happy! The portions are plentiful!

This is a high paced place(overall location). The owner(presumably since she worked there and people listened to her) took the time to suggest their current special. There were several places to choose from to include fast and easy pizza but all the patrons outside weren’t raving about the pizza. Every table around us that got food from here had at least a five to ten minute conversation about how good it was. I got the grilled shrimp. Fantastic seasoning. Paired very well with the kolsch style beer from the Crooked Can Brewing Company. I came for the beer but enjoyed the most 5 Thymes 5’s service and food. Outstanding!

We live within walking distance as do our best friends and their kids. We frequent the market multiple times a week. We have tried over and over again to give this place the benefit of the doubt and want to support everything local here in WG. But tonight was the last time we put up with soggy fries and late /forgotten food. Tonight we were 4 adults and 2 kids. We enjoyed a couple beers from the always great crooked can brewery and we waited 30 minutes for what was 2 of the 4 items… we were told they dropped one of the kids popcorn shrimp… ok, the fries were once again the fries that came were the worst soggiest fries and that’s par for the course. But we waited until 55 minutes after the original order to go in and ask about it. They asked the food runner about her putting in a ticket about the dropped food as if to blame her. Then we asked about the chicken strips that were on the ticket and not delivered. … OOOOOHHHH, no apaology, just«we’ll make it now»…no «Holy S**t!, so sorry, we’ll take that off your check and get it out to you as soon as it’s done. We waited for the food only because it was the kid’s. Unfortunately the strips had what could only be some sort of crisco type substance not fried out on the strips and the fries… yup you guessed it, soggy and awful as always, I walked the strips back in and waited for the what I was told by her was a foh manager by her after I kindly told her that we have tried over and over to give this place a chance and we didn’t want anything paid for or to come back just simply we will not spend any more money on your establishments food, and anyone who asks will get our honest opinion. Just so annoying that a place we’ve made excuses for because they were first, new, then well there busy, and they must make the fries to full a fry basket and that’s why they are always soggy, and in the end there just doesn’t seem to be anyone present that takes any kind of ownership, and they need a leader present that 1. Has experience and 2. Some sort of vested interest. Sad but hopefully the next place that occupies there footprint executes and cares what product and service they produce and present to WG patrons

Skip this one, I will from here on. Let’s start with the good: The ambiance of plant street market and their French fries, oh and the bacon on the burger. The bad: burger was bleh. No flavor except the bacon. We also ordered a pull pork sandwich and it was just not good. $ 30 for the burger, the pulled pork and the two cokes. I really wanted to like this place but I just can’t.

Stopped in with my wife on a Sunday afternoon. It was fairly busy, and we made the mistake of sitting at the counter and thinking we could order. Note: Go to the register first, then sit. She ordered the Granny Smith Flatbread — goat cheese, caramelized onions, prosciutto, granny smith apples, feta & white balsamic glaze. I ordered the the 5 Thymes 55 Alarm Burger — smoked gouda, crispy onions, mixed greens, tomato, jalapenos, sriracha aioli. Normally when trying out a new place to eat, we would share. But the burger was so good that I forgot to ask my wife for a piece of her flatbread. The grass fed beef was cooked(medium rare) and seasoned perfectly. None of the topping took away from the beef, but all added layers of flavor. The accompanying fries where thick and salted well. My only criticism would be that customers seem left to their own at the counter, with very little interaction between ordering and receiving food. This could be for a variety of reasons, though — employees busy, having a bad day, etc etc — so it is nothing I would say is a detriment. Overall, it is definitely a place we will visit again when we find ourselves in the Plant St Market.

Went on a Sunday and this place was certainly humming. My fiancé and I ordered the grilled naked chicken — one was with mild sauce + fries and one with hot sauce and couscous salad as a side. The cashier was very friendly and welcoming despite all the chaos that is Plant St. Market on a weekend. 5 Thymes 5 is counter service so you order your food at the register and find a seat, fortunately there were plenty of places to sit and the weather was excellent outside. The naked tenders were quite good despite being a little dry — this was on us as they came grilled and the fried versions are definitely much more juicy. Very interesting takes on mild and hot sauce though, the hot was unique and more of a slow burn instead of your classic buffalo sauce. The mild was a little difficult to taste but it really did enhance the taste of the chicken overall. What really stole the show were the fries though, hot dang! Now I really enjoyed their couscous salad, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve not tasted fries that good since I went to a small BBQ restaurant up in the TN mountains called Ridgewood. The fries are almost like Five Guys(there seems to be a Five motif with good fries) but much more superior and less salty. Well done! We also had ranch for dipping(they gave us two sauces at no charge which is great!). 5 Thymes 5 did their own rendition on ranch and it was definitely heavy on the dill, but not in an offensive way! I enjoyed it. I guess you could say they like to do their own take on things here and I respect that. Did not try a burger but will next time but holy crap– the fish and chips! There was a bit of a sticker shock as they cost $ 18 but I saw an order go by and it looked like they literally gave you half of a fish. It looked very good and it’s going to be hard to decide between that and the burger. Overall this place was very good and worth the price.

Excellent lunch. Had the hand breaded chicken strips dredged in buffalo sauce with hand cut fries. Very much enjoyed it. Tabasco tasting hot sauce base, would have preferred Frank’s or Louisiana based, but that’s just a preference. Otherwise great, nice big strips. Saw someone else with a Philly and a burger which loped good too. Only drawback. Woman behind counter(owner? manager?), chewing gum with mouth open. Huge turnoff and quite disgusting. Again otherwise great visit. Will move to 4 stars if they commit to not chewing gum behind counter.

This place is located inside the Plant St Market right next to the Crooked Cam brewery. Small little place with a matching small menu. I ordered the Granny Smith Flatbread, which consisted of goat cheese(mmmmm anything with goat cheese I’m there!), feta cheese, prosciutto, apples, caramelized onions, and white balsamic vinegar. It was extremely tasty, but for $ 9 the serving size was rather small. It seemed as though all the items were just placed on top of some pita bread. Tasty, but nothing out of this world. My Mom ordered the wings and fries(which were pretty good, but I’ve had much better). I thought the fries were too expensive for what they were($ 5). All together her meal was $ 13 for ½ dozen wings and fries, which I think was also a bit too expensive for what was served. Overall I wasn’t that impressed with the menu, prices, nor food items, BUT the lady who worked their was extremely nice and very tentative to her customers.

Eh. This one was a bit of a bummer. Reviews were mixed and often times I side with the better ones, but alas, I was not impressed. We stopped by the counter to order lunch. There’s no real line, so grab the staff’s attention and they’ll take your order. I ordered the pesto burger with a veggie patty. I asked if it was possible to replace the patty on the pesto burger vs ordering the veggie burger which seemed less exciting. They had to ask around to see if it were possible, but it ended up being OK. This just sounds like a give-in to me and an offering that should be on the menu. Don’t limit my flavor options just because I’m not interested in beef. For those that do like beef, their’s is organic and grass-fed, so points for that. Unfortunately it took a REALLYLONG time to get my food. My friend who ordered at the same time got her food in about 20 minutes and mine too approximately 40. By the time I got my food, she was done and I was starving. They do bring the food to your table, even if you’re on the patio, so I greatly appreciated that. The food looks good, but the flavor is just OK. The fries were good when piping hot, but after that point, they were soggy. The actual burger was OK, but the bread was so big and bland. Seemed like buns that would come from a bulk store. Upping the quality of the bun could greatly improve the sandwich. Also, the bun was too large for the actual patty and toppings, so it made the burger look small with lots of bread. If you’re in Plant Street Market and craving a burger, this is your place. Do yourself a favor and grab a beer while you wait(because you will wait). Next time I visit, I will likely try another one of the restaurants.

I was so glad this place opened up. As a regular at the nearby brewery it was always a bit of a pain to get food from downtown winter garden delivered or picked up since everything there seems to close down so early. Also the logistics of sending someone to pick up food for everyone was always a hassle. Not only is his place convenient but thankfully it is good! The menu is small but I think that’s by design. They know what they are good at and stick to it. The five thymes burger is great as is the Philly cheesesteak. However, the lobster roll is a real treat. If you like lobster I highly suggest you try that and pair it with one of the nearby beers. The one thing I’ve had here I wouldn’t recommend is the chili burger. The chili wasn’t very good and it’s kind of just slopped onto a burger. I’d avoid that but everything else on the menu I have tried has been great.

I wanted 5 Thymes 5 to be better, especially since they’re the only actual food offering remaining in Plant St. Market(at least for a little bit longer). We’ve had mixed experiences so far, with the latter being much less satisfying than the previous. Service has also been on and off. Their chicken sandwich is pretty good, and a good portion. Their skirt steak philly, on the other hand, was not so great. The meat was overcooked and therefore difficult to eat, and there was so much American cheese that we couldn’t really taste anything else that was in it. Any of their sandwiches or wraps also come with fries, couscous, or house salad. We like their hand-cut fries, and have on occasion just gotten those to complement our beers from Crooked Can. But their couscous is even better. They’re a decent option, especially when drinking, but I’m looking forward to more alternatives to be made available in Plant St. Market sooner rather than later.

I think the negative reviews must be bitter competitors because there is nothing negative about this restaurant. Seeing all the mixed reviews, I knew I had to try it and give my own. I ordered the cheeseburger with cheddar, all the fixins, and a side of fries. It was absolutely superb! I would go as far as saying it is one of the best burgers I have ever had. If you have yet to visit this place, it is an absolute must! Great food! Great prices! Great atmosphere! 5 out of 5! I will definitely be back!

Love how close it is to Crooked Can so you can grab a beer and bite to enjoy outside. The food is alright, for a farm to table and healthy concept it could be much better. The veggie burger was flimsy and served with fries that were just okay. I was kind of hoping for more but would like to try something different and hopefully change my mind.

This restaurant is inside Plant St. Market. You can order at their counter and sit at barstools there or eat inside/outside at the tables at Crooked Can and they will deliver your order to you when it’s ready. We placed our order with two people standing at the register. We waited for either of them to greet us, but neither welcomed us, said hello, or thank you. The menu isn’t very large, mostly burgers and hot dog type of meals. My husband and I both got the 5 Thymes 5 Burger and fries. The fries were unseasoned and soggy. The burger was OK, but nothing special at all. My husband had the same response, we were just unimpressed. It also took a really long time for our food to come out, but it was cooked the way we ordered it.

Bottom Line: I will def always order some noshes from here when enjoying some brews from Crooked Can. Love the fact that they are all organic and locally grown! The best part is that you can be enjoying a beer from Crooked Can, you go up to their counter, place an order, go back outside, put your Table number down and they will bring you your food. The wings I had were the perfect addition to the afternoon. I’m looking forward to going back and tasting the rest of their menu! Great addition to WG!

Second time at Plant St Market. This time, I decided to grab a bite together with my Crooked Can ale. 5 Thymes 5 is a small burger/hot dog shop with a limited selection. Nothing out of the ordinary in the menu; you can find all they offer at any other American restaurant. I had a «naked chicken finger» serving with mango habanero sauce and a side of fries. Everything had a bland taste; not bad, just not good either. I’ll give this place another chance with their burgers. Until then, it’s not getting any more than 3 out of 5 stars from me.

Located inside Plant St. Market. It was okay. I hope they work on their flavors a bit more and I think that would help them stick it out for the long run. They are the main food place in Plant St. Market so that is good. Appreciated that you could order and go find a seat in the brewery or outside and they would deliver it. They do have a few stools at the counter as well. Went for the Five Thymes Five Burger. It was large and they didn’t skimp on the toppings so that was good and it being a grass fed burger I had very high hopes. It was overcooked for a «Medium» request so that was a bit of a bummer and fries were very well done and had no flavor. :sad trombone: My friend went with the couscous salad as a side and I had order envy. That was delicious. I would def go for that next time. Maybe they were still trying to figure some things out but I hope their flavors come to life because they have tons of potential. Give us the FLAVA5 Thymes 5!!!

Food was pretty decent for this little joint. It took pretty much FOREVER to the food to come out. I ordered the Arepa(I believe it was $ 17) and I had to order fries separate(geesh!!) and I asked for there to be no chicken. Usually they will bring down the cost but unfortunately it did not. That’s a bummer. Paying full price for something that doesn’t even have all the ingredients(especially a main one). Also, I feel like this should come with a side… it got very pricey very fast.

I was surprised to see that 5 Thymes 5 is really just a walk up counter with a few bar stools. You order your food then find a seat in the shared dining space with Crooked Can. Although I love the concept of food with a separate brewery(each doing what they do best) it is a little awkward at first. You sit with your number for 5 Thymes 5 then go to the brewery and order beer, if you’re so inclined. Seating can be limited too, as much of it is outdoors. That would be fine on a nice day/evening but this day was one f the hottest of the year and not many people were out in it. Service at the counter was fast and friendly. I ordered their signature burger as it comes(without added cheese) and a side of their coucous salad in place of fries. It took a bit for our food to be delivered and when it did the order wasn’t correct. It was quickly corrected though and we ended up with a free set of fries out of it so no harm done. My burger had caramelized onions and bacon so I thought it would be flavorful enough without cheese but it was surprisingly bland. I think the meat could’ve benefited from more seasoning. The bacon was too thin and wilted. The coucous salad had a nice medley of flavors. The fries were good but too greasy/soggy for my liking. I think next time adding cheese to burger would be the ticket. I’m not going to give up on them though, I love the concept and am willing to give it another go around. 3 ½ stars for 5 Thymes 5 and I hope to update my review soon and give them a higher mark. We shall see!
