First banana pudding that I’ve had in my life that had no bananas or banana flavored pudding. Service was horrible, said staff to busy eating dinner at 7 on a Friday night.

I went there for lunch today and had the brisket plate, fries, cole slaw, and hushpuppies. The brisket was very bland, dry and I was not impressed. The fries were well fries and the hushpuppies were delicious. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant with all the vintage tobacco product advertisements. Food was served quickly which is always a plus.

This place is more like a fast-food joint without a drive-thru. I was sadly disappointed. It’s vinegar based bbq, so the meat was good, but nothing else was. I guess for $ 8 a person it wasn’t THAT bad, but I won’t go back.

This place has never been as good as the original location on Country Club, and it seems like it has slipped some more, I think. The entire operation is a touch or two off, service and food quality. This is a small, rather cramped restaurant, and getting into the lot is a bit of an adventure using a narrow, twisting service road. We tried the BBQ Chicken(½ a bird for $ 8.99 with 2 sides and HPs), a Chopped Sandwich($ 4.05), and a Hot Dog($ 2.59). The chicken is excellent, very well cooked, and the sauce is their normal sauce, thin and with a nice amount of vinegar — no thick, overly sweet stuff here, much like Clark’s in Kernersville. The Fried Okra was very nice, but the Pintos were just so/so, and the onions on them were very strong tasting. The HPs here are outstanding — small & round, with a great crust, good flavor. The Chopped Sandwich was just ok — the pork was bland, and a little dry, with very little smokiness, though they still cook their pig over hard wood coals. I’m not sure they actually cook the pork here, it all may be out of the other location. Now, this is a large, heavy sandwich, you’ll need both hands. The slaw is not bad, a little milder BBQ slaw than most in the area. The Hot Dog was disappointing compared to the one at the other location. The chili was very thinly applied, the bun was not the freshest, and the onions were too strong, and were put on the dog last, not a construction I care for. The service here is always a little on the laid back side, friendly enough, but a little slow. They offer Beef Brisket here now, so we might stop by and give it a try, but this is not a destination Lexington style BBQ joint for us.

I used to frequent this BBQ spot, sometimes 2 – 3 times a week. The quality of the BBQ started falling off a couple years back. Now I go 2 – 3 times a year hoping it has gotten better again. After lunch today I can say that it is still subpar. I have had bone chips, incredibly burnt pieces of bark, and excessive globs of fat on my sandwiches. I keep hoping…

I have been here twice now and I do not think I’d go back. Both times I got the chopped pork plate and it was just not very good. The BBQ is dry and lacks a good smoked flavor. The sauce is pure vinegar and has no other flavors. The sides are also not very good, their coleslaw & hushpuppies lack flavor as well. The service is also incredibly slow. There are so many good BBQ places in the area and this one is just not up to par.

i came to thus place with only a 30min lunch allowed by emplyer. i was seated at the same time as another person… that person got their food in less than 15 min… i on the other hand was .ot even asked if i would like to eat… so i got no lunch today… is this common for this place to ignore cust… anyways…there are many more bbq places in town that have no problem with their service… will never grace their door again… wont hhrt them any but you lost this cust for life!

This is a typical country bbq restaurant. I ordered their special for the day Brisket BBQ sammich. Not the greatest but it tastes good and decently priced for lunch. Definitely need to prepare yourself for stomach filled afternoon. Time for a food coma!

Good BBQ(best I’ve had around here), great service and good prices. This location has a nice atmosphere and ample seating. The hush puppies are excellent and I’m glad they offer cole slaw as an option.

Some of the best BBQ around — great slaw, great sweet tea, good desserts(although pricey). YUM!

Average bbq joint. Good flavor and selection. Nice to have one in Wallburg so it’s convenient.

This is GREATBBQ! The best in the area — as for slaw complaints — this is Lexington-style BBQ — less stars should be given for even offering any mayonnaise based slaw!

All in all not the greatest BBQ. I had the coarse chopped which is appropriately described and not overly fatty. The default slaw is not what most people expect(or what I like). Hush puppies were good. Décor was average to average minus. Not something I would go out of my way for, but certainly not bad. I’m sure I’ll be back with local family.

Went here on a visit to high point, nc. Enjoyed the coarse chopped plate with slaw and hush puppies, about $ 10. The sweet tea was great and the staff made sure my glass was never empty. It was easy to get seated and the portion was generous. I’d definitely go back.

God I miss you so bad Little Richard’s. Best BBQ around. Order the«Big Bun» with hush puppies and a sweet tea. You won’t regret it. Random memory — getting high after high school(there’s nothing to do in BFENC), going to Little Richard’s with friends, and each of us ordering the«big bun» while laughing because we’re stupid teenage stoners who think saying ‘big bun’ is funny. Those were the days…
