Thoroughly enjoyed our work lunch here. Great atmosphere and service. Enjoyed seeing the kitchen from our table. The food was spot on. Had the grilled meatloaf with buttered broccoli and Yukon mash. Good wines-by-the-glass selection.

My colleagues & I went here during business trip. They had gone here before I was hesitant because of 3star rating on Unilocal.I was pleasantly surprised. The food & service experience was comparable to our fine restaurants in Boston. Kudos to Chef Bobby & our server.

Chef Bobby and his team are incredible. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant! Great focus on the very best quality ingredients(local, sustainable, heritage breeds, etc.). You can tell they really enjoy preparing great quality food for people.

I love this restaurant! The staff is always very nice and the food is delicious. I especially love the asparagus and steak! So yummy! And for dessert make sure to get the crème brûlée! It’s superb!

My family ate here for Mother’s Day and had a okay experience. I think they were more crowded because of Mother’s Day so I would try them again on a non special day. We were in a booth with added chairs that was very crowded. The servers were friendly and quick. I tried their lobster bisque which was tasty but the bowl was chipped and the soup should have been a little hotter. If I’m going to pay more for a meal based on the restaurant, I will have higher expectations for the place. For my entrée I had their crab cake with succotash small plate. The crab cake was ok. There was a lot of crab but it had a slightly off fishy taste. The succotash was good but had a little too much pepper and the sauce was nothing special. My meal was not bad but I was not wowed by it either. I sampled a few other items like their pork belly and steak which were really good. I hope I have a better experience next time and can have a 4 or 5 star review for them.

We chose Noble’s to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary because it’s so special. It’s an odd mix of Southern casual atmosphere with creative, outstanding cuisine. Two decorated glasses marked our table(I cued them when I made the reservation on Unilocal) and we were treated to a free dessert at the meal’s conclusion. Nice touches. Noble’s has recently added fresh oysters to its menu, so I had to sample Southern bivalves. Rappahonnacks from VA and Bonner Bays from NC were the selections and boy, does Noble’s buyer know oysters. They were outstanding, served properly with mignonette. My husband chose the tomato basil bisque, which surpassed any others we’ve sampled in W-S. Entrees were a duck breast with an amazing sauce, accompanied by gnocchi, charred onions and pickled fiddle heads. Let me say a word about the genius of pickling these baby fern fronds. Raw or sauteed they taste of grass to me, but pickling preserved the crunch but took away the«green» taste. Don’t know if the chef originated the recipe, but it’s genius to utilize a good idea even if it’s not original. Hubby’s filet mignon was a superior cut, perfectly prepared and accompanied by his favorites, puréed potatoes and roasted root veggies. There were five French business people at the next table, and you know the French reputation for appreciating fine food. Noble’s is at the top of our list for Winston-Salem still.

Went for dinner. Staff very attentive, good ambience. Decent wine list. It can get a little loud especially when the music starts. Good is ok. The oyster salad is very good. I had the pork belly special and I have had better. I think it is a bit overpriced for the food.

Superb food, served well –timed. staff not properly trained. Extraordinarily high prices. Mediocre ambience. They’d do really well to move to an old house /restaurant with character, and ditch the college wait staff.

Agree with most other reviewers. We had a nice dinner for five with two good bottles of wine. We had a good table location — the server clearly focused on the person at the table paying the bill, but she worked hard, took care of the cola for the 20 year old, and gave good food advice. She had a decanter for the wine quickly on request. The bill was twice the cost of an equally enjoyable meal at The Tavern. Other than the price, everyone enjoyed the night.

I like Noble’s Grille overall, it is hit or miss for me. I had a fish dish last summer and it was one of the best fish dishes I have ever eaten. I have come back and tried a variety of small plates and things and the portions just aren’t there for the prices. I also don’t mind paying if I am blown away but I usually leave thinking that was good, but I wish I spent a bit less for it. The service is always great there. They know how to handle large parties with ease.

I came to Noble’s for a private bridal luncheon, and it was spectacular! I had a fried oyster salad and the hummingbird cake, both amazing! The chef is exceptional(and a family friend)

Overall with my first impression I would never go back. Made reservations 2 weeks in advance and get seated on top of the kitchen and declined that table, then try to seat us by the bar where all the commotion was, 30 minutes later still waiting to be seated. Once seated another 20minutes for someone to wait the table for a drink order and never came back for another 20 minutes and finally to ask for someone to wait on us, finally placed our order and when food arrived, Luke warm at best. For a restaurant like this, I would of expected manager to come over and inquire how things were going and it was like he wasn’t even in tuned with the activities going on in the dining room. For what the meals cost I would of expected a higher level of attention and satisfaction. Happy Valentines Day!

I had dinner Valentine’s evening. The food was great. I was not initially offered the table in the main dinning room that I reserved weeks ago and confirmed. However, I insisted that one of the bookings they claimed had filled the tables was mine. So it was corrected but with no apology. Finally, I really couldn’t listen to the Valentine’s Day specials because the waitress’ gum chewing was so distracting. What’s up with holding the wine list hostage? Why did I have to ask for it and then the waitress clinched it like it was a safety blanket while talking to us. For a $ 200 meal for two, I was really surprised at how young the staff was. Not exactly the professionalism that I expected at this restaurant. The manager or chef never bothered to check on us and our waitress didn’t check to see if our steaks were prepared correctly. Never again!

I am so surprised that lunch today rates just 2 stars. This despite the fact the server was pleasant and attentive and the dining room had great ambience. Mainly I was disappointed with an extremely skimpy corned beef reuben for $ 14. Noble’s – you can and must do better than that! It was as though your kitchen ran out of corn beef and threw the remaining crumbs of meat onto my order. I don’t think there were 2 ounces of corned beef on the entire sandwich. But, heck, the overall flavor was OK. [My husband has told me over and over, don’t order corned beef – or pastrami – sandwiches in the South. When will I learn?] The calamari appetizer was very small and blah. The breading wasn’t browned. And the dish was coated with flavorless(domestic?) parmesan. Everyone else in my party ordered more wisely. 2 people had Noble’s signature fried oyster salad and seemed quite pleased. Someone else had shrimp and grits – that looked decent. But portions were small. The only hefty plates went to those who ordered 4 vegetable sides, instead of an entrée – 3 people did that and were happy. Fortunately for me, I filled up on desserts, which were quite good. The crème brûlée was excellent. And the layered chocolate mousse dessert was pleasant enough.

Very good restaurant. Terrible location, but the actual physical space is really cool — slightly industrial and spacious. We had a large table so I was able to see and taste quite a few items on the menu. Everything was well prepared — no slouches as I can remember. My steak was good, although I’m debating if it was really a «prime» steak. Nonetheless, it’s one of the better restaurants in Winston. I’d go back for a special occasion or business dinner.

Had dinner here one evening with some colleagues. Nice ambiance and interesting menu. Had the Salmon over potatoes and an IPA I’ve never heard of. Food was very good, although the portion was on the small side. Service was good. I would definitely come back here again to try other menu items.
