Mock Orange Bikes

These folks are great!
When I moved back to town and decided to get a bike for commuting, they set me up with a bike (Kona) that fit the bill — and my rather limited budget. When I was (unfortunately) hit by a car while biking, they came to my house, picked up my bike, checked it over for the insurance claims and returned it — all free of charge.
A few years ago when I decided to get a road bike for triathlon races, I told them what my budget was, and they put me into a (only slightly) used Jamis bike that I adore — at 50% savings.
Every time I’ve had an issue with my bike they’ve fixed it up — usually while I wait. They do a yearly service on it for free.
I haven’t had five thousand dollars to spend on a bike — but they treat me like I do. Great customer service that goes above and beyond.

Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly staff to assist me purchasing my new road bike. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I bought a custom fit Waterford intended for dual purpose mid to upper end touring and cyclocross type rides. It has a retro look with high tech components. I’ve put approximately 300 miles on it so far. This is my new bike home. Recommend highly. Thank you Mock Orange, especially Charlie.

Mock Orange is just simply awesome! I’m an avid cyclist and truly love the sport and the people that represent this company do as well. The customer service is always super friendly and they are there to help you with what ever your need is no matter your skill level. It also helps they carry the top brands in my opinion: bianchi, colnago, pinarello, and for the mountain bikers kona. I would go as far to say that this is the top cycling shop in the south east. No matter if you are a beginner or an expert you will never feel intimidated walking into this shop because they always want what’s best for the sport, more people on bikes. If you’re trying decide which bike shop to go to in Winston look no further, trust me I’ve been to all of them several times and this one trumps them beyond any reasonable doubt.

This place is as good as it gets. I was staying in town for a few days on my way to Dupont for a mountain bike trip (coming from Florida) when I bent my front rim goofing off. It was damaged beyond repair and I was leaving the following morning. I took my bike right over and told the guys I was in a bind. Without hesitation, they set me up with a quality second hand rim AND tweaked a few other minor issues I had. The price for parts and labor was right on and the mechanic knew exactly what he was doing. I picked up my bike the following morning (same day service) and ended up riding a good 90 miles without any issue and having a great vacation thanks to these guys.
They even took the extra time to set me up with some local knowledge of trails and info for the Pisgah, Brevard, Dupont area. Bike shops like this are hard to come by and this is definitely my go to place when I’m riding in NC. Thanks

I was running an errand for a friend who needed a new helmet. The staff was nice and knowledgable of what she wanted. It was a quick and painless errand and she turned out very happy with what I got her. She’s already out on this beautiful day riding!

Excellent shop! All kinds of great items to buy. Sales staff outstanding — very friendly & helpful. I bought a long sleeve jersey (shop) and got the «Visitor Discount» = 10% with valid ID. You have to ask for it & NOT available on sale items. Service Department looks capable, but didn’t use it. Highly recommend this business!

Unless you are looking to drop 5 grand on a bike don’t bother asking for help. In fact, don’t bother going. The customer service is almost non existent. If they come out to help and realize you aren’t a serious cyclist, or some yuppy with a disposable income then they are quick to go on about their business. There are better shops to go too. This place has built up the reputation of being very snobbish. Only catering to who they feel is worthy of their time and attention. Better off going elsewhere.

The guys here were pretty helpful and patient as I tried to get my novice cousin on his first bike in twenty years. The inventory was extensive enough where you shouldn’t have to visit another shop to find what you need.
