We rented gear on a Wednesday for a weekend trip that my daughter was invited on. The family that invited her was in a bad car accident and the trip was cancelled, so we returned the equipment the next day. They refused to return our money.
In the future, I think we’ll just rent at the slopes. It may be a little more expensive but it’s better than just throwing the money away if an emergency comes up.
