Cities Grill & Bar

I like this place. A little off the beaten path on Stratford, so when hubby suggested it — I expected a lot less glam. As other reviews have stated, the center out is pretty cool, and gives the place a really cool atmosphere.
We sat next to it, and could also see the bad area — which looked pretty set with plenty of seating and lots of televisions.
The waiter we had was awesome. He was attentive, yet not overbearing in any way. He actually said he just started this week, so I guess they train their staff well.
I ordered the beef tips with steamed veges. The tips were not exactly what I expected — they were actually more like sirloin cut into pieces. The au ju they were in was a little salty, but super tasty! The veges had a nice taste, and were cooked just soft enough.
Hubby got the crab cakes and baked potato. The crab cakes are comparable to this area, and tasted pretty good. The potato was nice and soft.
Bar service was quick, and the rest room was clean.
I’d definitely go back!

This place advertises best atmosphere in town– that is a stretch. Very generic, chain restaurant feeling. Our server was nice (did bring me wrong beer the first time round) and food was okay but won’t be back.

I had the tilapia with Greek roasted potatoes which wasn’t very good. I was irritated by the fact that they charged six dollars for a local craft beer. The service was good. I doubt that I will ever come back. There has to be better restaurants in the area.

Food was horrible the first time we went there two years ago. Decided to give them another shot and again the food was lack luster. We sat in a lovely booth in the pit that looked like a rat had been nesting in it. Needs some work. Only plus was our friendly waitress… We won’t give it a third chance.

For some reason, we lived in W-​S for three years before we went here. We really enjoy it though. It’s a very nice atmosphere. The wait staff are very personable and accommodating. The food is always good.

Cities is an all time favorite. I have so many favorites at Cities it is hard to pick. It’s a great place to eat as the menu is so vast and the prices range from 10 to 25, and lots to choice from in those ranges.
The burgers are very good and are a favorite at lunch. The pizza are outstanding, I love the BBQ Chicken, and the Bronx bomber is great! Steaks however are the greatest thing. The ribeye, and prime rib are insanely good.
Tonight I had prime rib. It is easily the best in town. Not too fatty, cooked to perfection. The horseradish is great and really completes it. The au jus used to be served separately, today the steak had it on top like gravy. Now I’m not complaining, but I found this unusual, however it was very, very good.
My wife had the bayside chicken, and was kind enough to share, except for the shrimp, they apparently were too good to share. The chicken was very moist and was good. She said she will order it again.
Cities is a place we keep coming back to. The quality of the food is always high. Service on the other hand can be hit and miss. Tonight it was ok, the staff disappeared for overly long times. Drinks stayed some what full, but took time to actually get them. My son had the kids burger and fries, also very good. However it had no catchup, and took a little bit to get a bottle.
My only other complaint is the menu. It doesn’t change very often, and specials aren’t very original or special.

I visited Cities for the first time. I must say I will definitely be back again. This place is very nice esp The Pit. The atmosphere is relaxing. My waiter was very pleasant and attentive. He waited on our table and answered any questions we had.
The food is delicious I ordered the Bay Chicken and Shrimp yummmm it includes 2 chicken breasts 3 jumbo shrimp, a side and a salad. For my side I chose to stick with the house rice. I ordered dessert to go. Strawberry shortcake the best I have had in a long time. I would definitely recommend this place to eat. Plus its all within reasonable prices.

Terrible service with unprofessional manager. Food order was incorrect, but made it seem like it was our fault. Never again will we go to Cities.

Cities is an elite dinning experience and I give it five stars due to the following.
First its a beautiful resturant with a wonderful fountain that greats you out front as you walk into the resturant. I had made reservations for my boyfriend and I and we were promply seated to our table when we arrived. We were seated in the «projection area» which they have arranged tables in front of a huge screen that shows different citys from around the world and the ceiling ligths are done as if your eating under a stary night sky. It was great to see the different scenes as you ate. The food is good and you get large portions so we had lots of leftovers. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and everyone that worked there seemed to be a good mood. Def a great place to take a date on that wont break the bank.

Another restaurant that makes up in quantity what it lacks in quality. And yet the night we were there the dining room was full before 5pm, and there was a line when we left at 630pm. I don’t know what the attraction is except perhaps the large portions.
My wife got the crab cakes — not sure why in retrospect — and she could smell them before they hit the table. Not in a good way. I ordered the fish and chips which came buried — literally — in onion straws. I had to fight my way through them to find the fish, which was decently flavorful but did not have that light, crispy fried batter on it that I expect with fish n chips. So, the food was inedible to meh, the quantity notwithstanding.
Nothing at all against the servers, who were great with our party of 8, including serving the birthday cake we brought. Drink glasses were always filled, and food came out in good time.
I won’t go back voluntarily, but given the crowd I saw when I went, I doubt they will miss me.

Missed the mark. Unfortunately the service level at this local Greek inspired restaurant has declined to the point I must suggest you skip it. The food selection is varied with something for all.. However operationally this place is a train wreck. Our party of 4 arrived on time with a reservation. We were seated promptly and then ignored. For 18 minutes we watched 3 different servers pass our booth greeting guests. Given the restaurant was only 50% occupied I will assume guest experience is not a high priority. We left and headed to Firebirds where out waitstaff greeted us in 2 minute with waters. Hopefully Cities will reevaluate their service levels and create a positive experience for their guests.

We ate here for a group party on the patio. It was easy planning the event with Samantha who was awesome. The patio was nice and private. IT was hard keeping it a perfect temperature but it never got too cold just a little hot. The service was great especially since we were a larger group. Drinks were refilled and out orders were served correctly. I had the taste of Greece. It was really good and the waiter had said it was a good choice. I was very happy with it. I loved the chicken and shrimp. I liked the flavor from the wood grill and both meats were very tender. The Greek salad had a lot of cheese and olives on it. I wish it came with more than 2 pieces of pita though. Everyone enjoyed their meals as well. This is my second trip to Cities and both times the food has been delicious.

Cities is one of those restaurant that gets lost in the shuffle probably due to its location. It’s just south of Hanes Mall on 158 (Stratford). I’ve eaten here for dinner several times and the experience has been good.

— Solid 3 — 4 star restaurant
— Upscale experience but feel free to dress casual
— Very nice dining area. Also have a bar if you want to eat and drink there.
— Calamari and potato skins are great appetizers here
— Mediterranean chicken and salmon are very good entrees
— Steaks (Ribeye and Filet) are good. Just remember, this is not a steak house.
— Great cocktail selection. Decent wine selection. Full bar

Scheduled a wedding rehearsal dinner for 15, had two unexpected guest show up making 17 guest. You would think as big as they are they could have accommodated this, No not to be we were packed like sardines, they brought us a little round table and squeezed the rest being me on the end. This being bad enough we were fortunate enough they could spare one waiter for our 17 guest, the entrees all arrived at various times, the waiter did his best. I will make it a point to never recommend nor use cities for an gathering again. And yes I ask the management to rectify the problem but all was booked. Needless to say you, ve seen the last of me.
Last comment food was good.

Food was ok, service was good, but the most disappointing thing here was management and their ambiguous rules regarding the use of coupons. We had an attractions book with a Cities $ 10 certificate, it listed no restrictions on what it could be used for. When we attempted to use it we were told it wasn’t valid because we had not ordered the right kind of entrees. We asked to speak to the manager and she coldly and rudely repeated this policy. If they want to have such rules, they should be stated on the coupon– beware if you eat here!

My husband and I dined at Cities Bar and Grill tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was nice, the food was delicious, and the service was exemplary. Weston was our waiter, and he was fabulous. Next time we return, we hope to enjoy our dinner on their lovely patio. When we return, we intend to take others with us so we can happily introduce them to this gem of a restaurant. The location may make it a little hard to locate for some, but it is most definitely a treasure worth finding.

Great spot, love the food and atmosphere at Cities. I have not had a chance to hang out at the bar yet, but according to my others I have spoken to the bartenders are great.

For lunch, I highly recommend the gyro grill and the wrap for 6.95. The service is wonderful and although I eat there often, I have yet to get anything but perfect service and delicious food. Their lunch menu continues ntil 4 PM. Don’t miss this wonderful grill and bar. You will find me sitting outside.
