Great service, even better food. Gotta look for it, but those are the best places.

Ate lunch at this quaint, off to the side place. I am a huge fan of green curry so that is the reason I was here for lunch. The dish I ordered was absolutely delicious and perfectly spicy. However, the main reason for this review is the owner. He was AWESOME. My son is not a Thai fan so he hadn’t eaten much. After the owner came by to check on us, he noticed that my son hadn’t eaten anything but the egg roll. He then had a brief, friendly conversation with us before asking if he could bring my son 2 more egg rolls and my sons face lit up. Most of the restaurants I’ve been in struggle with being friendly and consistently talking with the customer to make sure they are happy. In this case the owner made sure everything was great and when he saw a small issue(my son not eating, which wasn’t even his fault) he decided to be proactive and fix the situation which made my son happy and made me ecstatic. We will definitely make this a regular choice for Thai. Thanks for the great experience!

I often go to Thai Sawatdee off Healy Dr and Ping was always so friendly when he worked there. Found out he opened this place and had to try it. He remembered us from the other restaurant and was very welcoming. I got the Chicken Pad-See-Ew and it was delicious. The waiter brought out the spice tray — this is a MUST. It really enhances the flavor. My friend got the Shrimp Pad Thai and it is actually better than Thai Sawatdee’s(not as sweet). Highly recommend this place, tucked away in the corner near Planet Fitness. I will definitely be making this place a regular spot.

After reading some of the reviews, I was intrigued to give the restaurant a try. The owner Ping is very engaging and helpful. We started with the cheese roll and it was very good. I tried the Crazy Duck with medium heat and it was amazing. We enjoyed the restaurant so much we returned later that week and I tried the Phở and it was wonderful as well. We have a new favorite Asian restaurant.

Was sort of dissatisfied with my order a few weeks back. I absolutely love Thai curry and Tom Kha Kai but felt let down with my experience with their versions of these dishes. I will have to give it another try to see if there is something else on the menu that I enjoy!

I am so glad Amazing Thailand opened up in our little town! The owner, Ping, is such a great person and is friendly to everyone, and does his best to accommodate food allergies. The food is excellent and at a fair price point. At lunch, try the beef phở or the red curry, and if you head there at dinner time, get the beef ren dang.

I’ve really missed having a nice Phở Seafood soup since I left Boston. I stumbled on this place when I pulled into the parking lot to reset my GPS. I wasn’t expecting to find Phở on the menu, I figured I’d have curry. I am so glad I stopped in. I was very happy with the salad and egg roll appetizers but the Phở was worth the wait and the drive, as I am definitely coming back and bringing the husband! The mint and cilantro was fresh and perfect as was the bean sprouts. A squeeze of lime and I took a tentative sip… home again ;-) The shrimp and scallops were cooked just to perfection and the squid was scored and yummy. There was just a hint of the faux crabmeat. Lots of rice noodles and a comforting broth. I was wishing everyone would leave so I could drink from the bowl. I ordered the special to go, since I couldn’t pass up duck in yellow curry. The portion is huge and came with a salad and egg rolls. I am looking forward to trying the fresh spring rolls next time.

Amazing Thailand has the best phở I’ve had outside of the Pacific Northwest. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great ambiance, the dining room features a Koi pond. My only complaint is that I didn’t visit sooner.

The owner seems like a nice guy, the first time I was there the service wasn’t bad. This time when we went we happened to be the only people there. They didn’t seem to be open at first since most of the lights inside were turned off inside and it took about a minute or two before being greeted. Upon being sat at a table, the waiter/owner was prompt in getting our food order but had forgotten to ask us what to drink. After ordering our food and drinks we received salads and spring rolls in a timely fashion but the drinks were forgotten. We had ordered cokes and he had brought us waters; we had to remind him yet again that we had wanted cokes. Everything else came in a timely fashion My entrée, the beef phở, didn’t not have much meat in it and the slices that were supposed to come medium-rare/rare were well done; the broth was flavored very well though. I enjoyed the relatively quiet atmosphere with the tranquil sounds of water dropping from their miniature pond filled with fish.

Amazing Thailand is located in the Reynolda Manor Shopping Center. It sits along the back where Planet Fitness is and is tucked away in the corner behind Sally Beauty Supply. The restaurant has a serene ambiance with a tranquil water feature near the entrance, warm paint color on the walls, and minimally decorated with Thai style artworks. The restaurant offers daily lunch specials from 11am — 3pm. For $ 6.95, your entrée comes with a salad with peanut dressing and 2 vegetable spring rolls. I got take out on this visit and ordered my usual chicken pad see ew along with an order of massaman curry. Service was relatively quick. I had my food in hand and was out the door within 15 minutes of ordering. The lunch portions were large enough for two people. The pad see ew wasn’t as saucy like I generally prefer it to be. The chicken was also a tad on the dry side. The massaman curry was delicious. It is a milder curry with a good balance of spices and sweetness from the coconut milk. I think this restaurant is a solid 3.5, but not quite 4 stars. It’s definitely worth a visit for those who love Thai food.

I havent been since they first opened but the Pad Thai was not good. The color was greyish and it was way too sweet. However, the reviews since they opened have been favorable. I’ll give them a second try and see if they’ve improved on what should be a thai restaurant’s bread n butter. Should it be better, I’ll update my rating. Until then, food was not good. However service was nice. Update: second visit was a real whirlwind. I feel torn about upgrading my star from 2 but I’ll explain. We went on a Friday night and I think this restaurant is falling victim to its favorable rating on Unilocal. This place was slamming — which is a good thing — but they were not prepared! Way understaffed. When we walked in there was a group arguing with the staff about their bill. This went on for a good 7 mins. Meanwhile no one else was coming up to seat the guests that were quickly bottle necking as they poured in. We got seated and 10 mins went by before they offered water. By then we knew what we wanted and gave the waiter our whole order. One ordered the hot soup with chicken. It came fairly quick but was shrimp instead. We flagged down the waiter and he promptly and happily replaced — which we appreciated. Our food came in about 15 mins. Now, the food was really the saving grace this time around. The first time the pad thai was not good. I didn’t want to take my chances so I got the peanut sauce stir fry with chicken which was really good. Now this is again where the service really suffered due to under staffing. We had finished with our meals and didn’t get our bill till a good 20 mins after. Once we gave our cards another 20 mins passed until we had to go up and ask the host for them back. Im happy to see the restaurant do well. Everyone was pleased with their food. But i hesitate to go in if I see it busy unless theyve hired more waiters and support staff. I will keep my rating at 2 stars in hopes that it sends a message.

Just ordered take out for the first time and the main dish that I received isn’t even what I ordered AND it was repeated twice when ordering. The crab rangoon was good, but whatever this chicken vegetable dish is that I received was bland and blah.

Amazing Thai is easily becoming one of my favorite lunch spots. The service is always friendly and most often fast. The food is quite delicious and a good deal. It is always fresh and the fried food is lightly breaded. If you haven’t tried it you should.

Yum! What a great addition to the Triad thai scene. I liked how expansive the menu is, it isn’t just your standard Thai dishes there is much more! We went in on Saturday night and there was a good chunk of people filling the restaurant. We started with the Amazing Sampler appetizer. It was mostly fried tastiness but the chicken satay was awesome as well. For the table we shared the Crazy Duck, Pad See Ew, and Beef Rendang. All were excellent, the beef Rendang had great flavor but was spicier than I would have liked. The Crazy Duck was the favorite of the table. The duck skin was super crispy, the duck was tender, and the vegetables crisp. We also got some sticky rice for dessert. Unfortunately since they didn’t have any sweet mango it was just the rice. Still a great way to end the dinner though! I think this will be our new go to Thai spot!

We have a new favorite restaurant in Winston-Salem. If you like Thai food you’re going to love this place. I had a whole red snapper that was excellent and my wife had green curry she said was best ever. I haven’t seen her look that satisfied since… The last time.

We have known Ping for a while now everyone should support his restaurant. Why? Because he“s a nice friendly guy who really cares about his customers and the quality of his food and service. He goes out of his way to make sure you have a great meal. Husband and I have been on a noodle-free diet so we cant eat our usual dishes YET. But we get tom yum soup and chicken dishes our sons love Pad See Ew extra spicy!!! Lunch is great golden triangles and cheese rolls are yummy! Apparently Saturday afternoon is a great time to grab lunch here. They are not so busy, but should be for the awesome lunch special they have every day. The friendliness of workers is something I really pay attention to at restaurants as well. And the staff here was so kind. It reminded me of the trip we recently took to Laos and Thailand. Good hospitality, plenty of food, and smiles all around.

Last week I had lunch here with my sister today, we loved it. Yesterday it was very different. It was as if they are reusing the oil. Salad lacked same freshness, portions smaller. Taste was a step down from our prior experience. Disappointed:( The owners Jin and Tin are great, either the chef was different or something else. I wish them success. Sorry to have to lower my review.

This is the only place I will visit for Thai food in Winston now. The service is great. the owner is an awesome and passionate guy who sincerely loves to hear feedback about the restaurant and goes out of his way to ensure customer satisfaction. There are also plenty of delicious choices from the menu to enjoy. My favorite appetizer items are the cheese rolls and the golden triangles, which are both fried. You should definitely try the som tum/papaya salad if you like spicy and sour dishes. It’s very fresh and flavorful. For entrées, other people in my family highly recommend the Crazy Duck special. I don’t eat duck, so I personally love the drunken noodles and the fried rice as well. Give this fairly new restaurant a try and don’t be afraid to talk to the owner about any future suggestions or feedback!

By far the best thai food in winston-salem. I’ve been to many thai restaurants in winston and also in NC but this place has the best quality at a very affordable price. The lunch special is my favorite. You get a salad and 2 eggrolls/crab rangoon for the price of only the entrée meal(around $ 6– $ 8) The owner and staff are also amazing. He has been running thai restaurants for years and knows exactly what he is doing. If you don’t like your dish, he will immediately give you something else that you like. He really cares about the customer and is willing to create a relationship over food. If you want Thai food, this is definitely the place to go.
