Allure Salon & Day Spa

I was very disappointed in my service here. The stylist station was covered in hair. I left with more than I wanted cut off (have been trying to grow my hair out) The front is shorter than the back now and the right side is longer than the left. She asked if I was satisfied– was very nice– but I didn’t want her to cut an more, so I made my exit. She cut at least an inch and a half off the front. I will not be coming back here. Perhaps another stylist will take more time with their work and consult.

Update: I contacted the salon to ask for a refund. They offered a cut from one of their senior stylists at no cost, and said refunds are against their policy.
Update: I emailed the salon a photo of my cut and called them. (When I dried it without the round brush it was absurd. My friend told me I looked like the jack of spades) They sent me a full refund and a gift certificate for a free cut and style. The owner was very kind and I appreciate the customer service. I’ve changed my review to reflect how the salon handled everything.

Andrea is a true curly girl educated stylist! She cuts my curls dry, never uses any inappropriate product, and understands how to get the most out of my texture.
I have seen her for years, and she is skilled no matter what type of hair you have. She’s seen me through many styles and colors, but her willingness to learn the unique needs of curly hair truly sets her apart. She is very talented with color as well.

I came here to get a haircut and left more than satisfied!
I was actually looking for a salon because it had been months since my last cut and I stumbled upon this place.
Once I arrived, I remembered seeing it when I went to New Town Bistro!
The front desk staff are very friendly and look really well put together. (I never trust salons where the staff look frumpy… I don’t know why, and this is probably presumptuous of me, but it just makes me hesitant).
I had my hair done by Keri. She struck up a good genuine conversation about things that were interesting, not just your generic salon talk and asked lots of questions about how I wanted my hair. I was really happy with my haircut! It looks and feels so much better than before.
I definitely recommend this salon and find it to be better than the others I have been to in Winston-​Salem.

I visited Allure Salon & Day Spa for the first time today. I had a FREE shampoo, cut and style coupon (that expired today) that I received from an Elite Event. (Thanks Holly!) I’m embarrassed to say that 15 months had passed since my last hair cut… Where did the time go!!! Whoops!
I was so happy that this salon could fit me in on the same day that I called — especially with it being New Year’s Eve!
The girl who answered the phone was very friendly and when I got to the Salon, I was warmly greeted upon entering by the girl at the front desk. I was asked if I wanted to pay upfront (perhaps to save time after the appointment??) The waiting area had nice comfortable chairs but luckily I did not wait long!
My stylist’s name was Carrie and she was FANTASTIC! She is new to the area and has been working at Allure for only about a month. I highly recommend her! I was so relaxed during my shampoo and I enjoyed our conversation while she cut and blow dried my hair. It was a great experience.
I would recommend this Salon to everyone! I haven’t tried any of their spa services but maybe in the future!
As I write this, I am smelling my hair and it smells so beautiful!

I received a coupon for a complementary shampoo, cut and style at a Unilocal event and jumped at the chance to go here and «get my hair did.» I generally walk around with a rat’s nest on my head so I was looking for a miracle and that’s what I got.
I was a tiny bit late to my appointment but Jessica took me right back and went to work. Everyone was courteous, I was offered a beverage (wine at 11am is amaaaziiing), and Jessica did a fantastic job turning my nest into golden strands of glory. Okay, brunette strands, but you know what I mean. The whole place seemed busy, but not overwhelmed. It was clean, bright and my only complaint: it was a little chilly and the ceiling fans they turned on were VERY dusty and the dust bunnies that kept falling from the sky looked more like dust opossums, rolling across the floor. Despite that,
I’m looking forward to coming back for other services. Maybe shellac nails, massage or makeup application before a big event.

I decided to check out Allure after reading through the mostly positive reviews here and will join the bandwagon in saying I had an excellent experience. The appointment started right on time, if not a couple minutes early, which seems to be a rarity among the other salons I’ve been to near and far. Additionally, I was the last appointment of the day, yet Andrea was very patient, careful and thorough dealing with my massive head of hair. I left with a great cut, a happier and lighter head, and a sense of relief that I now have a go-​to stylist and salon. Thank you, Andrea!

Highly recommend Allure! I found them on the Unilocal site, called for an appt. and they took me that day. What a great experience and my hair looks amazing! My stylist was Andrea. She did color and cut. She was so patient and highly experienced at doing color. The place was so clean and everyone who worked there made you feel important! I’m so pleased and will definitely go back to Andrea for future hair appt.

Love coming to Allure! Brandy has been my stylist for more years than I can remember! I am never disappointed! (and believe me, I’ve made many changes in my hair style and color over the years!). Everyone there is very professional and friendly! I would highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a stylist in the Winston Salem area!

Worst experience at a salon I’ve ever had– very sloppy nail job and they took forever– they will charge you twice as much as other places, take twice as long, and do a terrible job. They have a terrible attitude. Avoid!!!

I chose Allure day Spa based on Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed! My maid of honor and I went there for my wedding day up-​do and received excellent service from Susan. She was amazing at doing our hair and gave us exactly what we asked for. My hair was beautiful for my wedding and I have her to thank. Everyone there was friendly and wonderful. I highly recommend them to anyone!

When you are new to town – finding a new hair dresser can be a pain. I dreaded it, actually.
And then I lucked into Allure Salon – and am very happy. Here are the basics:
— professionally trained stylists
— pleasant atmosphere (clean, nice lighting, not super noisy)
— easy scheduling and on-​time appointments
— good value for the services provided
Andrea is my stylist. She is a real sweetheart and I’m very happy with my cut and color.

All I can say is oh, my. I never thought I’d find a good hair stylist in Winston-​Salem. I’d tried numerous salons over the last six years, and had just about given up hope. Then a friend told me to see Roy at Allure Salon. I almost hate to mention his name in the review, because it’ll probably be impossible to get an appointment with him if word gets out, but he’s an EXCELLENT stylist and colorist. I haven’t been this pleased with my hair cut and highlights in ages. I’ve found my stylist, for sure.

Wonderful and comfortable atmosphere. Employees are inviting and friendly. The facials are great and the aesthetician is the greatest as well as the hairstylists and the pedicures. Prices are affordable and all around excellent service.
