Donny’s New York Pizza

I ordered a chicken parm sub to go. I get home and it’s sliced chicken, not a breaded chicken breast, and there’s no sauce. This was inedible. It was dry and had no flavor. The worst sandwich I’ve ever had. Go one block up to Papa Franks. I’ve never had a bad meal there.

did not read the reviews before ordering. big mistake.chic parm is THIN sliced UNBREADED chic on roll. and some kind of cheese (?)…who does that? and my ziti with meatballs… no meatballs to be found, but tons and tons of oregano all through out the pasta… did I mention tons of oregano? Had it delivered… unfortunately we are without transportation otherwise I would have driven back and let them eat ot… eeww

Pretty good food. I come from New York so I’m always looking for good pizza, which is hard to come by in this state. The pizza was pretty good, better then I’ve had up here. Also ordered the lamb gyro, which was so on point that I wished I had ordered a second one to go! The appetizers were alright, nothing spectacular about them. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would return again when I’m in that area

So after living here for 4 years, I decided to try the usually vacant Donnie’s Pizzeria. They make decent pizza, I enjoyed the flavors… It’s a good sauce. However their style of crust isn’t my choice. Personally, I’m a fan of thin crust, that when folded, it’s cracks, and is balanced with a proper dough to cheese ratio. This was a medium thick crust pizza.
If you like thicker, doughier pizza crust, then order from Donnie’s, you’ll enjoy it. Just be prepare to fire off your order in under ten seconds; they seemed to be either super slammed or don’t realize they’re overly rushing their costumers on the phone. Maybe they enjoy the white pizza a little too much.
Worth trying if the crust is your thing. Free delivery.

I came here with my friend for a soda and they called her «buddy,» «dude» and «sir» even though she made it super clear that she wasn’t cool with it and they were just generally disrespectful and rude – do not go here if you’re trans, or maybe at all.

Terrible. Don’t get calzones. They were rude on the phone and when it was delivered it was raw. Called and they were rude and told me that calzones were often uncooked around the edges. What??? Not eating RAW dough. It’s gross and can cause sickness. What are they thinking? They said they could make another one but it would probably be the same way.

Best pizza in Winooski/​Burlington. If you’re from a city and looking for great NY style pies this is the spot. This is non brick oven pizza at its best. The locals and the service may leave something to be desired but the pizza does not disappoint. Walk in, order a medium meat lovers and enjoy the bliss.

Your search for a great pizza place can stop here. Had the Sicilian three times and it’s always on point! When my toddler wanted to watch he guys make the pizza, the owner (maybe GM) definitely took care of us. He hooked her up with some pizza dough that kept her entertained until the pie arrived. Look forward to our next visit.

Some of the best pizza in the area, especially the Sicilian. Could eat here every day.

Pizza here is really good! I had a slice of bbq chicken and a slice of buffalo chicken. Both were filling and I didn’t leave with that I-​ate-​too-​much-​and-​need-​a-​nap feeling. I’ll definitely be back!

Great authentic NY style pizza! Good people but they are Yankee fans. Minus one for that. Good value and very fast.

Really solid pizza at great prices with crazy fast delivery. This is my go to pizza delivery spot and I like to stop in for the $ 2 cheese slices. Minus one star for consistency issues. The pizza is mostly great but it’s always a bit different and every now again I’ll get a really bad one.

I will never come here again… not only were they rude on the phone but they were just as rude in person. Pizza was subpar, not worth being treated like crap… I will drive an extra 15 miles away to get better service and better pizza.
These guys need to think about how they treat their customers, we are what keeps them in business… after reading reviews from other sites I’m not the only one that feels this way.
