Watkins Products For Healthier Living

LOVE IT HERE! Best scents, best quality, love the all natural. If you ever find yourself in the area, definitely head to the museum and get yourself products. Also, I saw them at target and got some there. One of the best natural brands out there.

I recently have been seeing JR Watkins products being used at my doctor’s office, church, yoga studio and nail salon. I went to their website and was surprised to see so many household products as well as spices/​seasonings and that their products are made in the USA using natural/​biodegradable ingredients and one of the largest employers … WOW/​impressive. Their website did not have any type of function on how to locate a store locally that carried their products or indicate what retail stores sold their products so I decided to call their 800 # to inquire (for new products I like to see, smell and test them prior to purchasing since I have a sensitivity to certain fragrances, etc.).
I was connected with a consumer product specialist (a woman who did not offer a name). When I asked her what stores may I find their hand soaps she answered, «I don’t know.» Ok … I then reworded the question asking… «Are your products sold at discount retail stores (Target, Walmart) or are they sold at specialty retail stores like Whole Foods?» Her answer was, «Our products are purchased by many distributors; I do not know what retail stores carry them.» At this point, I was getting nowhere. The consumer product specialist did not even care to bring up that their products are available online (via their website) or put me on hold to possibly ask another person in their company for assistance to answer my question. I ended the call and went out to Unilocal to find out (thank you Karen F.) that some Target & Walmart stores carry their products. I will be heading to Target today to see if I can locate some hand soap and possibly check out the Lemon Cream Shea Butter hand cream and Green Tea hand and body lotion that Karen recommends.
As large as a company as JR Watkins is (and a major employer to the economy in MN), I would think they should select better consumer product specialists answering their phones/​assisting future customers. This woman acted like I was bothering her and was not friendly or helpful whatsoever. Maybe JR Watkins needs to have internal «shoppers» (like they do on Undercover Boss) to weed out these types of employees. I did not get a good first impression of their company from my phone experience but hopefully I will get a better experience when I finally locate/​use their products.

Love this place. Talk about history, this is so cool.

J.R. Watkins Apothecary products have been around for centuries — and now are available online, through a Watkins rep, in a Watkins Store, or even at certain Target & Walmart locations.
The line of Shea butter creams, lotions and bath products, as well as the famous spices & herbs, are now complimented by a line of «natural» cleaning products for the home.
I really like Watkins products for the most part. Especially the Lemon Cream Chea Butter hand crème, and the Green Tea hand & body Lotion.
