I do not understand the poor reviews on this business. We have purchased a washer and dryer from them along with an extended warranty. We have had to have service on the units twice and have had excellent service both times. Volkmann’s was responsive in providing service and repair of the unit. Each time I’ve spoken with them on the phone, they have been very helpful and professional.

Bought a $ 1500 fridge & a $ 900 Stove on 2/27, trying to support the small local buisness and because I was familiar with the salesman from years ago. I now have NOREASON to support a buisness such as this… because when I have water leaking all over my new wood floors, from this defective fridge, that has a plugged defrost drain hole today(on 3⁄2831 days after delivery) …I called and asked for service. The service man said the soonest they could get to me would be 5 days from today, next Wednesday and that I could keep wiping up the water on my new hardwood floor until then. That’s what I got for supporting the local small buisness? This is a terrible way to set yourself apart from the big box stores and claim«small town service» …the wool has been lifted from my eyes with this particular store. I did get a refund the following Monday when they came to retrieve the defective whirlpool French door w/bottom freezer fridge. I ended up doing better research before buying our next fridge and going with a Kenmore side by side, from Sears. At least they still deliver and service their appliances they sell. We ended up with no fridge for a week tho in the interim. We also got a bigger, better fridge for nearly $ 500 less, with free delivery & setup to tho… will see how day 32 goes!

Misleading offer of store credit if extended warranty not used. 3 major appliances. Did not receive warranty, when I complained I was told don’t worry, we’ll take care of you. BS! Pat informed me they were mislead and I was incorrectly told there would be a credit for non use of warranty. They didn’t clearly understand the terms. So even though they misinformed me the customer loses. Shame on them! No advantage to buying from a local business, next time I’ll just go to a big box store!
