Stay away. The current owner cares so little about keeping his customers that he refused to honor stamped loyalty cards for a free entrée just because the stamps were on more than one card. Have never heard of such a thing. He was extremely rude and his lack of caring speaks volumes about how little he cares about diners at Mangos.

Typical Winona not-mind-blowing food. Employees are very polite. But service is sooooo poor. You will sit and eat chips for 20 minutes while you wait to place your order. You have to flag someone down at every phase of your meal. Pretty frustrating when you want another beer.

Lacks character. Looks like the prior Mexican restaurant still… Wash your walls, my god! I got carnitas tacos(pulled pork) and they were greasy and unappetizing. I’m pretty sure I got bottom-of-the-pan scrapings… Shouldn’t be served to anyone. Seriously. The most disgusting thing I’ve put in my mouth! The server brought my food then never came back. Not sure what people see in this place… The salsa tasted good at least. I also enjoyed the beans. A little refinement would go a long way.

I say meh. Food’s okay, service was slow, but the happy hour prices are low. For a good meal, go somewhere else.

The food and service were very mediocre. This is not authentic Mexican at all. On the same level as Taco Bell in food quality. Our server never came to check on us after our food was served and we had to go to the counter to ask for our bill. If you want Mexican you would be better off going to El Patron in Winona. I am not from this area but drive through often and have been to El Patron’s several times.

One of the better kept secrets in Winona. FANTASTIC margaritas. the portions are very big but I recommend going for dinner rather than lunch. Sometimes they have Mariachi bands playing. It’s very nice in the summer when you can eat out on the patio. My personal favorite is the molcajetes or molcajetes for two if you’re sharing! Fun little spot.

We visited Mango’s about a month ago. The food was pretty good as was the service. Too much time has passed to recall what we ordered but we were all pleased and satisfied. For dessert we shared a «fried ice cream» which was pretty good and just right for 3 diners. Also, earlier in the day we visited the Hi-Vee grocery. On the receipt was a discount coupon for the restaurant which was a factor in our decision to dine there. So, check your receipts!

Don’t waste your time… The hostess passed is by three times… The bartender had to think to breath. Our waitress never acknowledged us after 20 minutes at our table. The food actually smelled and looked good, if you could get it. They have no idea what the restaurant business is about…

From the outside you would never guess this place has great Mexican food, but looks can be deceiving. I would put this in my top 5 Mexican joints. I had the chicken enchiladas with rice. The enchiladas were perfect and they didn’t skimp out on the rice either! You get free chips and salsa and also their special cheese sauce. Come here to get great Mexican without putting a hurting on your wallet.
