Wingers

After reading previous reviews I was hesitant to try this restaurant however it was hugely convenient to the Frontier RV Park where we were staying. We were seated quickly even though it was fairly busy. Waitress greeted us shortly after we were seated and promptly brought us water and took our drink and appetizer order. Food and drinks were served shortly after we ordered. The wings were delicious and I would get the wing meal next time. My burger was good but nothing exceptional and the garlic fries were a little greasy and became soggy. Also of note, there was no smoke smell from the Casino that was connected to the restaurant but closed/​separated by doors. Restaurant staff very helpful and pleasant. We would eat there again if in the area.

It was the BEST steak I have had in winnemuca and kelsie was a very attentive waitress, very happy whit the service and the looks of the place

My daughter and iand one other couple were in the resturant at the time. waitress was busy talking to someone. did not greet us for about 5 mins.

Tried this place that was next to the RV park we stayed at in September.
Chicken tortilla soup was great. Wings were spicy (original sauce) but flavorful.
Husband got the sticky fingers, again hot but enjoyable.
We would recommend this place.

So we ate at this place on July 18 and 25^th. On July 18, we had a great server and great food. On both occasions I had the Roadhouse Burger and my wife had the winger chicken salad. The winger sauce is spicy and sweet. You can also buy a bottle to take home. The reason for one star lost is the server on the second trip there was not very good. We asked for mayo and didn’t get it. She was slow on drink orders. And we ask to buy the sauce but never got it. No, we were not charge for it. By the way, there were two other couple in the restaurant. So it was not busy. Still, I would go back because the food is soooo tasty.

The food was tasty and good quality. However, the service was very slow. The food wasn’t always hot. Did I mention the service was very slow? Maybe I’ll come back when I’m not on a lunch break. Maybe not.

The service needs improvement. Our waiter kept wandering off and was less attentive than we desired. We require constant drink refills and we like to order more food as the meal continues, but our waiter was no where in sight. However the food we received was good. Friendly family pub type food. The sticky chicken is the bomb here and the burgers run a close second! Please ramp up your service and we will come more often!

Whoa, this place is pretty good. Great beer and food. I like it. The Chicken and waffles is still a taste I think that needs to develop, but everything else I have tried was good. Desserts are good, and the birthday Chicken hat is a hoot.

Great breakfast! I thought is was a sports bar, but I was wrong. True, they do have a lot of tvs but they serve much more than bar food. Free wifi. Music was a little too loud for that early in the day. Serious architectural design flaw… from many of the tables you can see the men’s urinals when the bathroom door opens or closes. I could only see backs though. Still, it’s a lack of privacy issue.

The food is decent. The service left much to be desired when it first opened, but it has been improving. I would have given it three stars because it’s your typical chain sports bar, but I bumped it up because it’s pretty much the only place in Winnemucca that you can be sure to catch the football game you want (they have a ton of TVs) and not smell like smoke.

I am giving three stars because before when I had went the service was absolutely terrible. Ten minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant is ridiculous. And the attitude of the wait staff was not acceptable. I would have never gave them another chance, except for the fact I have been searing around town how good breakfast was.
I went in again and it was a 360. Friendly, quick service. We were seated and ordered I got the pancakes. I am not the biggest fan of pancakes, but I was in the mood for them, so I ordered them and Oh MY GOSH! Best pancakes I have ever tasted, The outside was crunchy, but the inside was fluffy and creamy. They were oh so delicious. Plus we received our food relatively quickly.
My dad got one of their scrambles, He loves it. And he got the hash because that is what our waitress recommended. He enjoyed that as well. I think we will both be back to Winger’s, as long as the service will keep quick, friendly, and positive.

Friendly atmosphere and staff that’s extremely nice and thoughtful! Wings delicious, beer great, and a burger that is a great portion for the price. Great neighborhood feeling and still smells new!

Ate lunch here on our trip to and from Denver about six days apart. Obviously we liked the first time to return again later in the week. Everything generally good with no concerns at all.
Is the food to die for? No, but it’s good. Is the service the best ever? No, but it’s good. Is the setting super terrific? No but again it’s pretty nice. Overall a fine establishment and one we would return to again if in the area.

Winger’s is a new addition to the Winnemucca food scene. The first word of mouth rumors were, the service was terrible, but the food okay. That is my same conclusion after my first visit. I would say the kinks are still being worked out, mostly in the kitchen, the service is slow, but mostly because the food coming out is slow. So expect a long dinner if you come here.
There is a casinos side, closed off with doors so the smoke doesn’t carry over into the bar and restaurant side. The bar has some booths, some high top tables and stools all the way around the bar. I will say, it is kind of an odd feeling when you’re in there. I don’t know if its the openness that makes it awkward or what. But just a little off. There are some pool tables and I think darts in the bar side as well. The servers we had were nice and friendly, but the drinks took a bit to arrive as well.
My fiancé, because he has been in town more, has come a handful of times, and has said that the food is still slow, but he loves the fish tacos here. I know odd, for a chicken wing place, but he is a big fan and that is all he has tried. When I came, I got a wingers steak and potatoes entrée. The steak was some sort of hunk of meat, not sure if sirloin or what, I imagine so as the price was not too bad, and there is a New York on the menu I believe. Anyways, the steak had a chemical taste, probably like from artifical smoke flavor or something, but a1 sauce helped. The mashed potatoes and gravy are really good though, and I normally don’t care for white/​light gravy. I also had some buttered carrots which also were not bad.
I ordered a bloody mary and it was so-​so. They have a big «chain» type menu with all sorts of stuff, so I will probably try some other drinks in the future. They have a nice selection of beers as well. Overall, we will be back and hopefully over time, the kitchen gets faster, but honestly is not a deal breaker for us.
