In my opinion, this place has the second best biscuits and gravy on the planet. First place still goes to David’s in Fort Bragg, CA. This is a busy place! The movement of the workers is like an intricate dance. The servers were all pleasant, polite, and efficient.

The hot cakes were fluffy and delicious. The ham steak is a large portion and juicy. The coffee mugs are small requiring frequent refills. I’m sorry to say the huevos ranchero plate was awful. It seemed the salsa was tomato sauce from a can, the beans were dry and the flour tortilla was like cardboard. But, I don’t hold this against The Griddle (Winnemucca) because they are in a relatively isolated location. Otherwise great place. Staff is courteous and attentive.

Delicious! A good old-​fashioned diner where good food is served and the staff is friendly. My father and I stumbled across The Griddle on a road trip. A delightful stop that our taste buds appreciated greatly. French toast with caramel bacon syrup, berry topped waffles and fresh squeezed orange juice were amazing!

Passing though Winnemucca headed back home. I liked the Seat Yourself. Waitresses right on and very attentive and sweet. Had your basic bacon and eggs. The bacon a tad too crispy, bordering on burnt (even though I asked for crispy), but my eggs were right on and hash browns were perfect. The winner here was the house made salsa. Just the right amount of heat and very flavorful.

Both the service and food were excellent. A sweet place with a pretty outdoor seating area. I had the short stack of hot cakes. In spite of the warning they might take a little longer, the hot cakes arrived fairly quickly. They were fluffy and delicious!

Ein gut gehendes Restaurant mit der Möglichkeit auch draußen zu sitzen.
Wir haben Spiegeleier und Omelett gegessen und anschließend French Toast. Ich könnte meckern das Kartoffel nicht gut gesalzen war aber wir lassen das. Es wäre nicht fair alles andere war Top.
Also verdiente 5 Sterne.

Excellent service! The food was delicious. Came in at 9, sat down and had my food by 915. French toast was cooked perfectly and everything else I saw coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful. Definitely stop in if you’re in town.

This is a great spot to stop and grab a bite while traveling through. The staff is friendly and prompt.
I had a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant for lunch. I enjoyed it to the last bite and thought it was great quality and value for the money. I’ll definitely try breakfast the next time around.

Long road trip and wanted a good breakfast, decided Winnemucca was going to be the place to stop… poor phone service made Unilocal not possible. Pulled into the Griddle as we drove by and we were not disappointed. I had a delicious breakfast sandwich on focassia bread with egg, tomato, arugula and pesto aioli… delicious! My daughter had pancake and eggs and sausage. Everything was great, the service was attentive and friendly and timely. We sat outside, which I appreciated since we were going to be in car all day.

Been eating here since the seventies and never had a bad experience. Really a cool old diner and great wait staff. Excellent menu and the food quality is top notch. Today’s chicken fried steak and eggs was excellent.

Fantastic place for brunch! It’s an oasis of yumminess for those traveling cross country. My veggie omelette really hit the spot and the service was friendly. Really cute too!

Super clean and classic old retro style diner. This place is a diamond in the rough… I would come to Winnemucca, just for this place alone. The coffee was great, fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade granola, lots of unusual specialties. All three of the beautiful servers were delightfully pleasant and welcoming and candy for the eye. I hope that when I go to sleep tonight I dream about this place. Don’t come to Winnemucca and not go here!

Amazing service worth the stop!
I don’t recall our servers name going to have to look for my receipt, but she was phenomenal.
I asked for something and as I was asking for it she was already putting it down on table :)
My husband and I ordered the goat cheese omelet and it was so tasty!
We used the 10% off and she was super nice about it didn’t seem annoyed at all which is rare at least in California :)
Will definitely come back anytime I’m in Winnemuca

Service was great food was ok. My eggs were completely hard on my eggs Benedict and it was a little bland. The kids loved the pancakes. Fresh squeezed orange juice was great. Overall the experience was good.

Driving on I 80 we stopped for lunch. Very quick service didn’t wait more than ten minutes for or meals. Vanessa was our waitress, she was lovely! The Reuben was delicious the corned beef fell apart in your mouth. They also freshly squeeze their orange juice, we would highly recommend that as well!

So, this is your perfect example of what a great diner should be! Service with a smile, excellent service and top notch food. I use Unilocal for all of my leisure experiences and to this day I have not been let down, thanks to my fellow Unilocalers!
To start, you are greeted by a nice girl when you walk in. You can set where ever you want. And within 3 minutes we had hot coffee in front of us!
I ordered the savory crape… AMAZING!!!
My pops ordered hot cakes and a scramble, he was also very pleased with his dish. We left comfortably full, and extremely content with our on the road breakfast option, and our five star review.

Great breakfast! It was just across the street from our motel, and the reviews looked promising.
It’s a seat yourself kind of diner, and we managed to get a booth by the orange juice machine (which of course prompted me to order orange juice). I don’t drink coffee, but I’m told it was excellent. I had the two eggs and meat: the sausage patties were outstanding. I also got to try a bite of the corned beef hash, which had big pieces of brisket.
There was a 10% discount for Unilocal check-​ins. I can’t imagine we’ll be passing through Winnemucca again anytime soon, but if we do, we’ll definitely be stopping at the Griddle.
