I love me some Braum’s in general. I really do. I can’t say that I love this spot though. A good portion of my order was forgotten. I had to go back for it. Some of the items that I did get were done wrong which is crazy since they indicated on the paper that it was. That’s a biggie to me because I’m pretty particular about the things that I eat. They did make it right and there wasn’t a big issue about it. I take most of the blame because normally I check food before I leave. The thing is I just didn’t feel like this was a typical Braum’s. It seemed a little off. It wasn’t as clean. The food didn’t taste as well. The staff is young which is normal but they seemed a bit confused. I wasn’t too thrilled. The family actually said they didn’t want to come back to this one. Basically it’s okay to go to but I wouldn’t make a special trip to it and that’s sad.

This is specifically for the Winfield location: Grocery store portion is 5 stars! Fresh and delicious. Frequently out of cake cones(and continual issue for over a year now) but that is the only complaint in this department. Dining option is not, unfortunately, 5 stars. They often overcharge and mis-charge items. Missing food items, and forgetting cheese on cheeseburgers. Wrong size fries(small instead of medium, small instead of large, never the other way around) Chicken strips they sometimes put«no sauce» when they are prompted on the register to enter what sauce you want and then charge you for sauce, even though it comes with it. Just check your order, food items and receipt carefully each time and you will be fine. I only have this problem at the Winfield location. Spoke with multiple managers multiple times over the past 7 years without any change to these reoccurring issues.(Again, only happens at Winfield location) Food is good, better quality than the chain fast food restaurants within 30 min drive in any direction. Best crinkle cut fries! Ice cream is amazing and always a perfect choice. Best milk in the state! And cheaper too! Freshest produce in a grocery store in Winfield.

It’s Braum’s so I don’t expect too much. Generally it’s pretty good. But last time we went inside and we’re pretty horrified by how dirty and nasty it is inside. It’s depressing in there and there’s a layer of dirty grease on everything. I feel bad for the people who have to work in that environment.

Love, love, love Braum’s. Always make time to stop when we’re traveling. As Braum’s go, this one is somewhat average. The dining room isn’t nearly as big as other locations. The staff, while friendly, was very, very slow. But the food makes up for it. Just as good as what I’ve had at other Braum’s.

Food isnt bad at all, typical fast food fare. But I had the same dirty tables experience as the last reviewer, with an interesting twist. Most of the 12 or so tables were dirty when I sat down. 20 mins or so later an employee came around and began wiping the tables, so I’m thinking ok, all is good. But then I notice the employee methodically skipping the tables that had any wrappers or cups at all on them. Almost an hour later, a different employee came around, wiped all the tables again, and cleared the tables. What the? I could imagine the response: «oh I only wipe the tables. Someone else clears them…». Hope this isn’t a pattern!

This place is a hell hole. The same grease has been on the floor for the past 10 years. They usually have 2 employees for every customer so one would think they could A. get the order correct and B. CLEAN… For some reason I crave a Braum’s burger every 2 or 3 months and regret it when I go to the Winfield, Ks. location. It is not worth the aggravation to pay good money to have your order wrong. I gave up on complaining because all corporate will do is punish you further by giving you Braum’s gift cards to make you go back.

I’m from Kansas City and we had the pleasure of visiting the small town of Winfield over the weekend to shoot a wedding. We got into town and had some time to grab lunch. We passed Braum’s and my husband immediately wanted to stop there. I kept driving however, in hopes of finding something like a Wendy’s, something where I knew what to expect. I’m not a picky eater, but I am particular and when we’re far away from home and about to spend an entire day on our feet, photographing a wedding, the last thing I wanted to do was put trust in a small town ice cream shop. I just had visions of myself regretting it later. Well, there wasn’t much else and we didn’t have time to keep driving around, so I drove back to Braum’s preparing myself for at the very least, a mediocre lunch. In the way of food I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! They had a very extensive menu ranging from burgers to chicken strips. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and it was DELICIOUS! We shared a fry and my husband had great things to say about his bacon cheese burger. He said it was one of the better fast food burgers he’s had in a long time. So if this review was based solely on food, it would be 4 stars. Here comes the however portion. It wasn’t terribly busy so finding a table wasn’t hard, but EVERY table needed cleaning. I walked around trying to find the cleanest table and it came down to the fact that I had to just pick one and clean it off myself, which I did. Then it came time for me to get my drink. I rarely drink pop, but I was in the mood for a little so I went for a coke at the fountain and almost slipped as the floor surrounding the fountain was a large puddle of water. Got back to the table and had a sip of coke. It was flat. :-(So I went back to the fountain, caught myself slipping again, and changed out the coke for some DP. Narrowly escaped slipping and falling again on my way back to the table. What was really irritating about the dirty tables & the floor by the pop fountain was that there were about half a dozen employees standing around chatting behind the counter. One employee even walked right by the puddle on the floor without even blinking at it. Just not acceptable. I also used the restroom while I was there and the door was HEAVY. It’s honestly a terrible accident waiting to happen, a child could potentially get pinned if she attempted to open the door by herself. It took me a great deal of effort. The facility is also a general store, specializing in a very large stock of ice cream. I think there were four very large freezers full of ice cream, some of which I believe were the Braum’s brand. There wasn’t much you couldn’t pick up on your way home at this place, and I thought that was impressive. Overall I generally liked my experience due to the food being so good and I would go back for that reason alone. The employees need a week or two of extensive training especially in the area of keeping the place you work clean and keeping busy rather than standing around socializing. I really hope I get the chance to visit a Braum’s again soon, they had a black forest sundae my husband and I really wanted to try but didn’t get a chance to. While I recommend a visit to your nearest Braum’s at least to check the place out and have a good lunch, be advised if you visit this location. Maybe the ones near bigger cities are more well maintained in the way of cleanliness, so that said, you’d probably be happy with your visit!
